Gezira Garden If you are looking for a rest from the busy city of Luxor or after a long day of sightseeing and new impressions, then our oasis on the West Bank will provide just that. Enjoy your day reading a good book in our new Oriental garden, having a refreshing drink next to the swimming pool, or relaxing on the sun terraces on the roofs of our apartment complex. You will be rewarded with a spectacular sunset over the western mountains. In the Oriental Garden we invite you in our “Isis-Temple” to practice Yoga or Meditation. Surrounded by trees and citrus fruits, it´s the perfect place to find tranquillity and relaxation. Gezira Gardens consists of 8 apartments and 16 double rooms, all with ensuite bathrooms. One bedroom has two single beds, the other has a double bed. Each bedroom has a balcony which overlooks the garden of the hotel. The back window has a spectacular view across the fertile Nile valley to the mountains behind. The apartments can accommodate four (4) adults, or two (2) adults and two (2) children. All rooms and apartments are equipped with satellite-tv, telephone and air condition unit, refrigerator and free Wi-Fi. Gezira Gardens restaurant, bar and roof garden is located in the new hotel complex. After a busy day, you can enjoy a traditional Egyptian dinner or international dishes and savour a fine bottle of Egyptian wine. You are welcome to visit Hotel Gezira's stunning roof terrace. The vacation complex has an Oriental garden, a swimming-pool and facilities for billiard. We also offer laundry service (for a small cost). The distance from Gezira Gardens to the Nile is about a three minute walk. Small supermarkets and shops are nearby.

Detailed Reviews
I booked a 2-bedroom apartment for 3 people. This hotel is charming and beautifully decorated. The location is great, just a few steps away from the felucca and motor boat renting area. The facilities are clean and well equipped with a fridge and amenities. The staff is courteous and friendly. Mohammed, the owner or manager, went above and beyond for us. He helped us set up transportation to Aswan. Breakfast was very good and will keep you energized throughout your busy day. There is a restaurant and a rooftop bar where you can cool down after a hectic day.
I strongly recommend El Gezira Garden to all. You will have a great time.

The Gezeira Garden Hotel on the West Bank of the Nile at Luxor is without doubt the best hotel in the area. Managed by Gamal and his German wife Britta, they understand true European hospitality with a totally original local Egyptian experience. Rooms are immaculately clean. Restaurant food is authentic and the location is only a few minutes walk to the local ferry. Much nicer than the hassle and traffic you deal with on the East Bank.

Wow!
Lovely place to stay. The nicest most characterful hotel ive stayed at. Lovely laid back side street on tge west bank. 1 minute from lots of cafes, restuarants and private ferrys to eastbank. 5 mins or less walk to public ferry.
The reception was very helpful when we had a problem with a kettle we just moved next door. The gardens, roof terrace, pool area, dining area, games area and upstairs bar are just wonderful and what sets it apart, plus lovely balconys. Our faveorite hotel we could easily have spent weeks there between exploring Luxor and the hotel.
I highly recomend and especially to try eat breakfast in sunny outdoor dining tables in spectacular garden.

This hotel is on the west bank, which is for me the best part of Luxor to stay at. It is close to the Nile, to the ferry crossing over to Luxor, and in easy walking distance of several restaurants and shops. All the attractions (with the exception of the Karnak and Luxor temples, and the museums), are on this side of the Nile. I was last here 5 years ago, since then there has been a lot of construction, so its not as wonderfully located as before. But it is still great and peaceful.
The hotel has a wonderful garden with a small pool, and many personal touches. There is a good small breakfast buffet, and a nice rooftop restaurant, with tasty food at very reasonable prices. The hotel has a lot of charm, and a lot of details, in 4 trips to Egypt, this is by far my favorite place, in many different terms. The rooms are comfortable and with everything you need. This is a lovely charming place, with very friendly people.

We loved this hotel! From the beautiful gardens, to the very helpful staff, to the cleanliness and food, everything was spot on. The location couldn’t be any better either - on a quiet street, just steps away from the Nile. Special shout out the masseur who was incredible! Highly recommend this place to stay and look forward to returning in the future!

Lovely small hotel at the westbank, perfect location to discover Luxor. I enjoy the garden and terrace or heated pool. Excellent service - whatever you need will be arranged. Friendly staff and good food. Highlight: Thai food on Sundays!

We often stay at this hotel and its always so nice to return. The best things about this hotel are the beautiful gardens (a real oasis of calm with lots of birds and lovely places to sit and relax), a nice pool and really helpful management and staff. Everywhere is clean. Breakfast buffet is good.
There is a public ferry nearby to take you into Luxor.
Highly recommend.

There are TWO HOTELS WITH THE NAME GEZIRA on the West Bank of Luxor. Although the owners may be related, the GOOD ONE IS THE ONE WITH GARDENS IN THE NAME. It is NOT the one that is offered on Booking.com the review I can give is of the Gazira Gardens Hotel which has a pool. The bad reviews you see here are of the other one! Please someone from tripadvisor contact the hotels and split the reviews correctly as you find people looking at reviews for one, that you have to book directly and booking the other via the link!
Somehow pictures of the Gezira Garden pool and good reviews have found themselves here lodged with the details from the other hotel.
This quick review is of the GEZIRA GARDEN HOTEL. I stayed here for the month of January 2014 so I know this hotel very well now. Stay here! It is quiet, good, secure, only a short walk from the ferry to the bustling East Bank. This is a nice Egyptian Hotel with all the trimmings, staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is massive. Price is excellent. Security excellent. Pool warm and nice, sunroof excellent. Egypt is dusty, try go live with it a bit, if you need anything just ask for it, a couple of pounds gets you room service with a smile, this is a pittance to Europeans but means so much to the locals who are suffering due to the lack of tourists. There is NO TROUBLE IN LUXOR, enjoy celebrity status :-)

The Gezira Gardens hotel on Luxor's west bank is, and always has been, a real sweet place to stay. It is not your normal 5-star but it has so much charm and such a cozy, Bedouin atmosphere, that I keep returning to it time and time again. One of the best things about this hotel is its location -- on the quiet west bank of the Nile in Luxor. The east bank, where all of the shopping, etc, is, is a madhouse for a tourist as people are constantly trying to get you to buy things. The people on the west bank are so much more relaxed, friendly, and so truly Egyptian in attitude that you feel completely comfortable and relaxed.
