The hotel is nicely situated in Luxor, all the important sights can be reached on foot, Luxor temple is just about 10 minutes away and there is shops etc. around. My room was clean and had everything necessary including a balcony, though I would recommend getting the Nile view rooms, since "Garden view" means looking at the lobby and closed courtyard. The outdoor areas and especially the pool on the Nile are very nice and perfect for watching sunsets. Drinks here are pretty expensive but tasty. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, I even got a little cake for my birthday and tips for good activities from the security guys. Solo female travellers might need to watch out for the younger waiters, who can be brazen, though. I really liked the breakfast buffet but wouldn´t recommend getting the dinner option when visiting in the off-season. I was served a fixed menu with a lot of repeats worsening from day to day. There´s a lot of nice restaurants around to eat cheaper and better. Off-Season, the hotel isn´t too busy and a good choice for exploring Luxor.…
The room was okay and clean, but average, also bathroom (maybe because we have room facing the street). Great pool and sitting by it on the Nile, beautiful garden. For a picky eater, the breakfast is not much, but you could choose. A decent hotel, however, with the Egyptian nature that if you tip the waiter in advance, the price of the bill that you have to pay, will magically be reduced.
Truly perfect. The surroundings are just beautiful. All staff very friendly. we extended our stay a few times Honestly there’s nothing more peaceful in the world than sitting out on the bar restaurant terrace at either 7am with your coffee looking out over the Nile or in the evening with a glass of wine as the sun goes down. Luxor is and always will be one of the most beautiful places on earth and I will return time and time again. I found the air to be clear and beautiful during march, so will deffo return in spring time The rooms were comfy, spacious, clean, ideal :) Breakfast had good choice Thanks Iberotel for being a part of that :) see you again.
I would stay here again if/when I’m back in Luxor. I will also recommend to friends. You must stay in a room facing the Nile and wake up to hot air balloons. That was very special. The room is good size and very clean. Good breakfast spread and friendly wait staff. Good location with restaurants and east bank attractions walking distance. Beautiful view and pool. Very cheap rooms, book directly at hotel website (jaz) Poor internet and expensive but not so good food in the restaurant. Eat somewhere and get Orange data pack
Overall, the hotel was fine. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, the location was great, and I would probably stay there again. However, the internet was slower than dial-up. Like, so slow that I just gave up. I'm talking about 7 minutes to download a single 2.5mb picture. Also, be aware that their charges for food and drinks are VERY high when there are plenty of cheaper places to shop, eat, and drink very close to the hotel. For example, on our first morning I was going to buy a couple of large bottles of water and they wanted the equivalent of $6.00 for each one. No way. I bought the same water/size at a store a couple of blocks away for $0.50. I get "convenience pricing", but that's ridiculous...
Ok budget hotel to stay at. Room was clean and serviced well during our stay. Front desk was hospitable as was the wait staff. Breakfast buffet was good and tasteful. We did have lunch and a dinner during our stay. Food was not very tasty and the second evening we went to a different hotel to dine at their restaurant. Our biggest concern was the billing for food. The service fee and tax was added into one number and not shown individually. The total was 77% of what our food costs. Local tax plus service fee is 27% not 77%. The manager would argue that his number was correct but he would not complete the calculation on his calculator…why not? Eventually the bill was corrected. Very disappointing experience. The next day we were shown a chart that the wait staff used to calculate the tax and service charge by item on the menu. He knew what the correct number was, but tried to overcharge us.…
My trip to Luxor was amazing after long time away back to my hometown to stay in this amazing hotel with great staff fantastic food the Nile view @ night time it’s magical I will be back with my family in the winter.
We stayed at the hotel for 7 days last week and had a wonderful time. The views of the Nile were Amazing and the hotel is well placed to visit all the sights, short walking distance to Luxor temple. The food was good and couldn’t fault the friendly service.
I loved my stay, the rooms are modern and clean amd i absolutely love the hanging plants over the balconies. The employees working there are kind and helpful! Food is delicious and garden is perfect for a sunset stroll. You get so much for a great price. Thank you guys
Nice, clean, comfortable hotel, but do pay the extra for a Nile view room with balcony. We booked a garden room as we were only staying a couple of nights, but the 'garden' rooms do not overlook a garden at all, they all face inwards over the hotel lobby, the 'garden' being large window boxes with various plants etc. The floor in the lobby is polished every night, the noise of the machine echoing and reverberating all around the lobby area at around 2 to 3 o'clock in the morning ! Apart from that the hotel was really nice, friendly, the food and service in the bar and restaurant was very good.
