We had 3 lovely nights at the Steigenberger Resort Achti and had a very pleasant stay. The porter who helped with our bags (Mahmoud) gave us a contact for tours which proved to be very good. The pool is lovely and has some great sunbeds to lie out on, the barman (Tarek) was very helpful here and always served with a smile and a good chat about his life in Luxor. Mohmoud the lifeguard was also very friendly and helpful at the pool. Mariam was very nice and welcoming and ensured that we didn't have any issues during our stay. She also helped us with train info when checking out of the hotel. We liked the hotel so much we decided to stay another night and Wael gave us a great deal and effortless extension of our stay. When we were checking out of the hotel we had a very unpleasant experience with VERGINIA, she was very rude when we asked to check out, not helpful when I asked about train info, and when I cleared my throat (I have asthma) she made fun of me, smirking and said "Are you singing or something?" and I said "What?" To which she replied by imitating my throat clearing back to me and said "Sounds like you're a singer". I am disgusted by her behaviour as a hotel staff member she should be more respectful to the hotel guests and offer better help when we are asking about train info. We later went to Mariam and she was far more accommodating and helpful with the train information, thank you Mariam. As Verginia was putting together the bill, I proactively informed her about the drinks we had taken from the minibar. I repeated twice that I had taken 4 drinks and I listed which drinks they were. She accepted that and I paid the whole bill.. 20 minutes later as we were walking out the front door of the hotel and our taxi was waiting.. she approached us and said that she had forgotten the minibar drinks. I told her that I had already spoken with her about those and she had put them on the bill and she said she hadn't and she had forgotten. We were ready to leave and head to the train station at this point so it was frustrating to get back into my bag and head over the tills to pay for these drinks, they should have been free at that point. Overall, the hotel itself is very nice, very safe, very good breakfast food and very good staff apart from that one exception. I would return to this hotel.…
Ok hotel but spoiled but arrogant reception staff. The level of unhelpfulness and arrogance of 3 different reception staff really soured our visit. The rest of the staff were lovely and went out of their way to make our visit a good one. The location is good to get into Luxor town but it’s also quiet and away from the bustle of town.
I stayed in the hotel for two nights with friends and family, the rooms have beautiful views of the Nile, but there are no close walk-by areas; you will need to take a Taxi for the attraction areas or to walk by the Nile. I booked twin beds and king bedrooms; the rooms are small, the twin bedroom one of the beds is small, not an actual twin bed because of the size of the room, and the bathroom is also tiny and uncomfortable. I don't think it is safe for the elder or Kids there are security officers all over the hotel who use it as their lounge and push guests from public areas; the restaurant held an event to watch football games. The first two tables were occupied by security officers the third table was empty when I sat to watch the game. The waiter asked me to leave because a special guest who is a security officer would come to watch the game, which I think is inappropriate. When I asked to speak to a manager, he was resting in his room and unavailable despite being on call; I said the next day to his assistant it seemed there was not much they could do with the guest being pushed away by the security officers to have their space the breakfast was reasonable with good service; the dinner had limited choices. The pool was great Luxor has better choices; I won't recommend this hotel with current management.…
Staying at Achti resort was amazing. Its location next to the Nile has incredible views, the staff is super kind and helpful, the rooms are spotless clean and modern. The pool is awesome, it's just next to the Nile so the view seems coming out of a movie, specially at sunset. Also the staff at the pool is super kind and ready to help you at all times to make you feel comfortable. In particular Magdy who works by the bar pool and the person in charge of the seats and umbrellas, we have been surprised with how attentive they have been to accommodate everything to make us feel comfortable. We only regret not staying longer, for sure we will come back to enjoy this amazing resort and all the beautiful historic places Luxor has to offer. If you are coming to Luxor, don't think it twice, this is the place to stay.…
Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. The rooms are clean and big bathroom. Nile view rooms are more beautiful. Tasty food to enjoy your breakfast. The hotel has a beautiful garden to sit in and admire the Nile river.
It was my first time at this hotel but it was amazing from all aspects. Front front desk to house keeping to food and beverage to supporting to have best tours in city I really enjoyed this stay and wish to go again soon
Our stay was perfect. The room was very clean and comfortable and all the installations in general were very modern and peaceful. We would like to thank specially to Vergenia and Dawod for their kindness.
Big thanks to Ramadan who made our lunch at the restaurant all the nicer. Excellent service and really friendly. The hotel itself was lovely and we had an excellent time with great views of the Nile and a lovey pool to chill in as well.
Excellent service, very nice and professional staff, will make everything to make you happy. We have even been upgraded for free. The breakfast was varied and of high quality. The view on the Nile river is just amazing. Very well located to discover Luxor and Valley of the Kings. Direct boat connection in the hotel. Can definitely and would certainly come back.
We stayed just one night at this hotel after our Nile cruise. great little hotel with everything you need. Pool area great, restaurant has mainly Egyptian food but quality is OK. Happy hour in the bar is a little confusing and negotiable. Shops on ground with many options. We went for a short walk outside the hotel grounds and quickly returned. Nothing of interest out there and dirty.
