Everything was excellent! We arrived late at night. Whilst we were on our way to the hotel we got a call from Nasser the owner inquiring if we needed dinner. Piping hot dinner which consisted of hot soup, beef stew in earthen bowl was served by Mohammed as soon we had checked in. Indeed a warm welcome on a cold wintery night. The rooms are clean and spacious. Early morning hot breakfast included juice, local bread, falalfel, omelette amongst other items was more than adequate. Mahmood the Front Desk Manager-cum-Congierge was always at hand to ensure whatever we needed was taken care of promptly. We booked our Hot Air Baloon ride through the hotel and the rates offered by Nasser weere better than other operators. We had an amazing time in Luxor and a very pleasant stay at this property. Highly recommended.

We were late coming back from East bank and needed dinner... at 1130pm. Mahmoud didn't blink an eye at the hour, or the fact we weren't guests of his hotel. He ushered us up to his BEAUTIFUL rooftop restaurant, cooked us heaps of fresh, delicious food, and regaled us with a friendly chat (ask him about that time he broke his nose). This is a man who is passionate about his business. Dinner was great, space beautiful, host a delight - all for very reasonable prices. You should definitly stop in!

This is a great place to stay if you're visiting Luxor. Not only is it an incredible value, but the staff are extremely helpful and welcoming, and will get you set up with great deals on tours. Absolutely try the restaurant, as the food is incredibly fresh, local, organic, and very tasty. All around a great place.

The Cleopatra rates 5 stars because of the hospitality of their operation. The staff were attentive at every turn of our stay, including providing or arranging transportation, and providing great breakfasts. The hotel itself is no frills, just a clean, comfortable stay in a quiet neighborhood setting on the west bank, not far from several temple sites. The crown jewel of the hotel is the rooftop lounge area where meals are served (generous Egyptian breakfast included). It offers a nice panoramic view of the area, and is a comfortable to lounge (sun or shade), and take a sheesha break if so desired. Fun phenomenon discovered is the acoustics of the domed area - sounds are amplified from person opposite you at table - sounds like they are talking right into your ear. Fun things to do include balloon ride, temple visits, horseback / camel ride from stable nearby. Had dinner at nearby restaurant - Africa, very good. Thanks for your hospitality!

we have been traveling around upper Egypt , we didn't expect much for low rates but basically it was one good experience tho the staff are really friendly and welcoming rooms are clean and good furnished , they have varieties from single to triple rooms roof god an awesome view specially in the morning you can see the baloons we booked B&B and breakfast was perfect potion location is near the nile 10 min walking so you can take a boat to the otherside ( take care of the people they give big prices for the nile transportation public nile transportation cost only 0,50 EGP for egyptians private boat from the west to the east cost 20-35 EGP DON'T PAY MORE ) anyway we enjoyed our stay there and we enjoyed the company of the staff there in the night on the roof recommended if you seek a good place without luxurious styles you can follow @kainomada on facebook and youtube for the upcoming pictures there and more reviews
