My friends and I stayed here for 3 nights it was very peacful and relaxing. The hotel location is great.. away from the crowded touristic areas of the East Bank. Rooms are very basic, but everything is clean. Hotel staff are nice and helpful and the dinner at the restaurant is great you have to try it.

Outdoor patio overlooking farmland. Wonderful food, great vibe, great view. A lovely respite after visiting the tombs of the west bank. And they serve beer! The eggplant was particularly magical. I have no idea about the hotel.

Fantastic food charming location and service. We haven't stayed here but I was a wonderful lunch. The owner is german and quite sweet. Great views of the rural surrounds from the luncheon terrace. The gift shop is also an excellent source of well made local craft at reasonable prices.

This delightful oasis of calm on the West Bank is ideal for anyone wanting to spend the cool of the morning touring the West Bank Monuments and the afternoons lazing in pampered comfort in the garden. Staff are friendly and obliging without being intrusive, meals are excellent, and I have never stayed in a cleaner hotel anywhere. The room had... More

This is my number one place to take a coffee, enjoy a meal and relax in their wonderfull and now extended garden. The food is always fresh. The chef is amazing with his creative talent and food display and presentations. They also have a fresh fish day on a Tuesday and weekly BBQ's. It's a place where you can rub... More

The warmth of the staff, the location of the hotel and the beauty of the views make this an excellent place to stay. There is nothing more joyous than to sit each morning in the delightful court yard at the Marsam Hotel - to look out over the luscious oasis towards Luxor; to drink coffee and eat breakfast; to plan... We stayed two days and two nights, this past May of 2015, at Marsam Hotel. We could have easily stayed two weeks at this lovely guesthouse hotel, as the hotel grounds were absolutely lovely with gardens, outdoor seating, and views out into the farmlands. The room itself was very comfortable and spacious with tall ceilings, closet space, AC, Arabic lamps,... More

Conveniently located close to the main archeological sites at the Luxor westbank. The rooms are bare of luxury but provide a simplistic coziness that invites you to rest an contemplate. The care for the guests is also expressed by the artful arrangements of pillows and towels that make for a nice surprise everytime you come home. The court yard provides... More

I have stayed on the West Bank many times and have seen the old Sheik Ali many times but this was an updated, beautifully restored version of the old hotel. The old mud brick walls are thick and solid, the woven palm bed frames simple but comfortable, the furnishings basic but more than adequate and plenty of good hot water... More
