I recently spent a total of eleven nights at the Sherherazade. In addition to all that has been previously said, I will add the following: Christine was polite and prompt answering all emails. Mohamed the owner, as said before, is a prince among men. The staff are all incredibly kind, friendly, and caring. The rooms are very clean. Mine opened... More

Shehezerade is tucked away down a network of quiet streets on Gezira which is on the Valley of the Kings side of the Nile. It's quieter and more "real-life" than the Luxor side. The rooms weren't ostentatious but were perfectly comfortable and everything worked. The food was good. There was a lovely garden to sit and relax in or to... More

We visited for the New Year's Eve Party. Lots of good food-soup, salads, meat, desserts- We had live Egyptian band with good singers and traditional Folk dances. Mr.Mohammed made sure every body happy. Although we did not stay in this hotel it is in the middle of neighborhood! Friendly staff, nice garden. Good place to get to know locals and... More

This is my third time staying at the Sheherazade. I love this place. It is beautiful and management and staff is caring and helpful. The food is delicious and the beds are clean with fresh linen. There is abundant hot water and bathrooms are clean. My favourite foods are the Sheherazad pizza and chicken shawarma with fresh cut pomme frites.... More

First let me say, that this place must have been a beautiful place at one time. We booked it based on the photos and the fact that Christine, the person answering our emails seemed so friendly and helpful. What a mistake! It started off with the taxi diver not knowing where it was. He had to stop and ask many... More

This lady never had a reservation at the hotel which is why we were not ready for her group. She made enquiries but never confirmed the reservation. if she had we would have either arranged taxi pickup for her, or given instructions as to how to get to the hotel. I can only say that what has been written is... More

Hotel Sheherazade is an oasis of calm. Tucked away on the West Bank of Luxor it has absolutely everything you need for a wonderful stay in Luxor and a far cry from the hassle and bustle of the East Bank. If you're looking for a quiet place, then this is it! The hotel manager, Mohammed, is wonderful and accommodating. If... More
