I give this place 4/5 based on staying one night. It's one of the few cheap places in town, and if your only purpose is to see Abu Simbel, then one night here is fine. Not the cleanest hotel, but wasn't uninhabitable. They also offer very reasonable prices for tours to Abu Simbel. On a side note, this place has... More

The room was clean and comfortable- AC, ceiling fan, wifi, balcony, and hot water all for $8! Great location- close to Nile, market, and train station. No soap or toilet paper- plan ahead! There was a hand towel though. I think a lot of the negative reviews of this place are due to the surly young guys working the front... More

The daytime staff was EXCEPTIONALLY helpful. They told me the best tourist sites to see & directions - going way beyond what would normally be expected. They made my trip hugely successful and enjoyable. The night time employee was far less helpful - he seemed to be much more interested in watching soccer on TV than answering questions. But the... Wasn't very impressed. Sure it's cheap but there were many problems. My room flooded on the first night soaking my things on the floor. Staff helped grudgingly and didn't apologise. The bathroom was filthy with spat out chewing gum on the basin and a ring pull on the floor. Lastly, Generally, the servicr was brusque and unfriendly.

The best cheap hotel I have been in Egypt. Very clean room with AC, fan, a very good mattress, wifi, no TV. The bathroom is small but convenient. No soap supplied, take your own. It is quiet, elevator always working, no surprise. You get more than what you pay for. I visited other hotels in this price range in Aswan,... More

We stayed in a double room - this is areal budget option and therefore the hotel is old and is not all bells and whistles, but is serviceable, friendly, I slept well, felt safe. They also include a very basic breakfast of bread jam and tea in the price which was around 80 Egypt pounds per night for the room.

I was in Yaseen hotel back in 2010 and had a farely ok room, bit old, but beareble. Last week I stayed there again, after 5 years. I read the frews reviews and some of them were very negative. I now think they might have been written by local compeditors or by people who went looking for luxury. My secont... More

Hotel is very good, near the train station, clean and cheep, everybody is pally and helpful in every situation. Atmosphere is like at home, boys from reception are like a big family. Special thanks and regards to Mr. Beshway the manager of the hotel.

I stayed here last month. Pros: the location is a great - a really short walk from the train station. This was great because I took the train in and out of Aswan. Cons: in the first room I stayed, the toilet leaked sewage onto the bathroom after the first flush so I requested a different room. The light did... More

Don't stay here, it's very cheap but full of bugs and has terrible service with a worse atmosphere. Our room was crawling with bugs, literally 100 plus. In the bed, in the duvet, in the pillow, everywhere. We ended up putting a tent up in our room. Ensuite bathroom was a impractical, shower sprayed all over room, toilet didn't flush.... More
