Don't expect much it's a guest house, but the service is great, and the Nubian village in general is so authentic with people that are you will remember forever. Recommend the nile safari, visits to Hissa island and Sand mountain nights if available, spend time with locals as much as u can :)

Very Nice place overlooking the Nile, It's basically a Nubian house with around 10 rooms where you can spend a relaxed stay away from the city and the fancy artificial lifestyle .. everything is authentic, the rooms, the food, the people .. you just live the village experience .. There is not that much activities to do at the hotel... More

Just from four wonderful days at the Anakato. The hotel is charming and situated on a peaceful part of the river. Shymaa was so hospitable and made our stay very special. My two children have had a very memorable stay.

Few years ago I would say Anakato was the place to go to in Nubia for a perfect holiday. I find it currently very overpriced and overrated, they lost most of their traditional Nubian food and spirit to a very international environment. It is also quite expensive and requires pre booking with months long list. When I went there last... More
