You have been warned. Do NOT stay here. I have nothing positive or even neutral to say about this place. You do not want to eat here, restaurant cannot really be called a restaurant, Just tables and chairs that have not been cleaned in... 30 years. Internet is in communal areas and a waste of time. I wasted 2 hours of my time on it. Never got anywhere, a waste of time. This Hotel is definitely NOT Quaint. I can think of better words... The staff were actually okay and friendly enough, although useless. This is the worst place I have ever stayed in and I've been in some bad places that cost less than a dollar a night. I thought of a positive. The air conditioning did work. There are other, better, cheaper options. Believe me, you will be better off staying outside in the street. The wind will at least blow away the dirt. Rooms, cleanliness and service were all awful.

The hotel location is in the Corniche, where the Nile river flow in front of the hotel. The hotel is actually can be reached by 30 minutes walk from the train station ( 1.5 Km). There is a traditional market at the back of the hotel so that some of the room might get noisy. The hotel facility is not so good but not very bad at all, the waiting room is a bit dirty, the room is not too bad, the basic breakfast is provided. the price is relatively high with those kind of facilities. The good things are it is in the main street of Aswan, not far from Train Station, in front of Corniche, they staff is quite helpfull and they offer a trip to Abu Simbel, which can be very good for solo traveller. I think this hostel is still better compared with the similar hotel in Aswan, at least from the location point of view.

We did not book any hotel, just reached at Aswan in the mid night and went to this hotel. We took a room which was Nile facing. It had three beds. Attached toilet. The hotel was not that good. But for us, some how ok. We paid only 180 Pounds for a night. They provided us good break fast. The roof top kitchen for breakfast was good. The reception was man full time. Good staff with English. The hotel does not have a lift from the ground floor. You have to go to the 3rd floor then you get lift. the hotel starts from that floor. Old hotel, but they are trying to maintain it properly.
