My husband and I stayed 4 nights in The Meridian Pyramids then left for 1 1/2 weeks and came back to stay 1 night before flying out of Egypt. During our first stay we were given a room in the old section of the hotel facing a busy street with a balcony. Cars like to use their horns in Cairo... More

Before we came I read the reviews on here and commented that it looked like 2 different hotels. The reason for this was clear after a bit of a poke around in the hotel. If you get a newly refurbed room then the hotel is awesome, if you get an old room it's a bit run down. I emailed them... More

Being naturally sceptical when I reserved a room with a pyramid view I assumed they would be very far away or around a corner. However when we pulled back the curtains first thing in the morning it was amazing what a great view we had of them, a truly magical moment. The room itself was very clean, bright and had... More

Very nice facility, beautiful pool area with amazing views of the pyramids. Nice restaurant ‘floating’ between the pools means you don’t ever have to leave the view of the pyramids behind. Also a nice outdoor lounge area for cocktails and sheesha. Hotel only has one main restaurant and it’s a pricey buffet. We only ate there for breakfast, but quality... More

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our honeymoon on 24 - 26 October. There was a good selection of food at breakfast although it was tricky to get coffee. We didn't fancy the main restaurant and ate at the pool bar on both nights. The pool area overlooks the pyramids and the pool staff are very helpful.... More

We actually stayed two nights at this hotel because we arrived late at night to Cairo, plus we wanted to take it easy our first two days in Egypt. The overall experience was good. We stayed at the new building, so we had a great view of the pyramids. The rooms were big and modern. The swimming pool area is... More

I only stayed for 1 night and it was booked through our travel agent for an all-inclusive price so I am unable to comment if it was value for money. We arrived late at night and left at 7am so we only saw the inside of the hotel which was very nice. The room and decor throughout the public area... More

strong points are the decor and views of the pyramids from the pool and poolside restaurant weak points - the lack of restaurants described in the brochure and lack of info about alternatives. The hotel restaurant was poor - had to pay for full buffet, lukewarm food and very expensive by the time sales tax, service charge and the obligatory... More

We stayed at the hotel with our 2 children for 4 nights. We had an upgraded room which had a fabulous view of the pyramids. So we were quite happy with this. However, the children wanted to swim in the "largest heated pool in Egypt" but it wasn't heated. In fact it was freezing cold. I don't know why it... More
