Detailed Reviews
The people who run the hotel come first Nothing was too much trouble, and yet at no point did I feel boxed-in. I like to write and decided that the dining room was the best place to do this. The owners of the hotel were there too, sitting quietly reading, talking on their phones etc. I was made to feel very welcome within an entirely peaceful, almost serene environment.
My ensuite room was spotless and spacious, with a very comfortable bed which enabled a level of sleep I rarely experience. You may want to take earplugs though, Egyptians are rightly famed for talking loudly, and they do this in the streets at all times of the day and night, without mercy.
The breakfast was all I could eat, and I have a good appetite.
The view of the pyramids is just astonishing, To me they seemed even more magnificent and impossible from my vantage at my bedroom window, than they did when I stood beneath them.
Giza's economy is based on the pyramids, and with Covid, it was clear that people are struggling and becoming increasingly desperate. As the only tourist there during my visit, I was mobbed at every turn by 'guides', owners of camels, horses, buggies all trying to sell their wares. Taxi drivers who would slow down as if the idea of taking a cab had never occurred to me. It is an uncomfortable experience created by a desperate need on the part of the locals to earn money - the privilege made me feel guilty.

The rating relates to the travel period March 2022 (Corona) and room 102, traveling as a couple without children. Normal requirements for equipment and food, no luxury travelers.
Hotel in general
With the rating you have to take into account that it is a guest house and not a hotel and that the nights are very cheap.
We booked it for the view of the pyramids, that's the biggest plus.
The guest house is very old from the outside and inside, with a renovation you could make a jewel out of it.
From the roof terrace you have a fantastic view of the pyramids and you can see the light show for free in the evening.
But you shouldn't expect too much from this, you can watch it for free, but we wouldn't pay money for it.
As it seems usual in Egypt, the WiFi is very poor and not available on the roof terrace, for example.
Pyramids in 2 minutes, small refreshments Kiosk in about 5 minutes walking distance.
Meal
Only breakfast is offered, which is very basic.
There is unlimited and free 24-hour coffee, tea and water to take yourself.
In the evening we ate at Abou Shakra, about 5 minutes away, we really liked the meals, only the service is bad and only cash payments are accepted.
Room 102
First floor with a direct view of the pyramids.
The rooms are very simple and old furnished, but absolutely clean.
Unfortunately, the windows are poorly insulated, so the dogs barking at night can be heard very loudly.
The air conditioning was great and heated the room up quickly given the surprisingly cold temperatures.
There is no fridge or safe in the room, unfortunately no socket in the bathroom either.
We could borrow a hair dryer for free at the reception, iron and ironing board are available in the coffee kitchen.
Staff/service
Very friendly staff and always helpful and available.
As we booked 4 nights we were offered a free transfer from the airport to the hotel which worked great. For the way back to the airport we used this service again for 30 euros.
The transfer takes about 2 hours during rush hour and only 45 minutes in the early morning.

The view from our room's window was amazing, as you can see from the photos I uploaded. That was taken from the open window and the view from the rooftop is even more beautiful where you can also watch the light and sound show at night for free. The rooms are clean but very simple. From any of the hotels near the pyramids or city, download a White Noise app to your phone to play at night and it easily drowns out noise from the street.
The five star rating I gave this hotel is based upon the incredible value of being right in front of the Sphinx and pyramids, having a very clean room, an excellent complimentary breakfast with made-to-order omelet, and complimentary bottled water 24/7. The staff is kind and helpful. We didn't know what to expect and were very happy here.

I stayed at Guardian Guest House with my family for three nights.
It is located right across the street from the Pyramids Complex.
The staff is very polite, welcoming and courteous. They are cooperative and accommodated all requests. Unlike everywhere else in Egypt, no one here lingers around angling for tips.
The rooms are on the second floor and accessible only by stairs. An extra bed was put for our child in the double room with pyramids view. The room became somewhat "tight" but it was fine. The bed linen was clean and good. The AC worked well. The bathroom was tiny but had everything in good working order and looks like newly renovated. There was running hot water. Noise from the street did filter into the room at night as the hotel is located on a busy street. There is matchless unrestricted view of the Sphinx and Pyramids from the window and the roof top. We could watch the evening light and sound show of the Pyramids from the roof top. The show itself was an underwhelming damp squib not worthy of ticket expense.
Guests have 24 hours access to unlimited tea, coffee making facility and drinking water in a common area near the guest rooms. There was a small refrigerator and a clothes iron too in the common area but I did not use them.
The breakfast is mostly cold and basic. Twice they prepared breakfast boxes for me when I planned to leave early for sight seeing. There is no onsite restaurant for other meals. With hot kitchen meals and breakfast, this can become the perfect small hotel.
For the pyramids and for visit to Saqqara, Memphis and Dashuhr, this is the best place to stay.

I have to admit, we arrived after dark and I was a little worried about the neighborhood. It appeared a little run down and there were some dogs running around. However my fears were unfounded. The host was waiting for us and escorted us from the curb to our room. The breakfast was good and you could take it to the roof, where you could also watch the pyramid light show. Here's the view from our room that welcomed us our first morning.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This hotel was the best. The view looks straight on to the Sphinx and pyramids. The hotel was clean and decorated with Egyptian paper art. The manager was helpful answering everyone of our many questions. He told us if we wanted to buy anything outside to speak to him first to see if the price was correct…which we did. I forget his name but he was so helpful. He had breakfast for us on the morning also. His mom cleaned our room and did a fabulous job and was so sweet. The owner wasn’t there but before we booked our room he answered all our questions on a very timely fashion. I rate this hotel 5 stars for hospitality, cleanliness and the view. It’s a simple decor inside but was perfect for is. This hotel is great for families too!

we stayed here back in May. not only the views of the pyramids were breathtaking but the staff are amazing! we arrived almost at midnight to the hotel and we were greeted right away by the staff. my husband was asking where to buy cigarettes, and they even offered to buy it for him to get the local price. our whole stay was so comfortable, they explained everything so well. made us breakfast and even changed out amenities the next day. when i got back to US, we realized my husband forgot his Airpods. i emailed the hotel and they did confirm they found it along with my chargers. they offered to ship it to me but also gave me an option to wait until July/August for their friend to ship it within US so it’ll be cheaper. i just received it back now. the staff are so honest, accommodating and helpful! i highly recommend them. thank u again and hope we can go back to Egypt!

Best hospitality, amazing view from the room and also rooftop. Room 101 has the best pyramid view with large windows. Also enjoyed light and sound show from rooftop.
Another interesting point, you will find the best priced souvenir from their own store. We purchased the painting at around half cost compared to another nearby store.

A basic but clean hotel with fabulous views of the pyramids from the room and terrace. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners who were friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. Arranged return airport transfer and made us welcome to wait on terrace to watch sunset whilst awaiting transport. Breakfast was included and was sufficient and even gave us extra bottled water to take to the pyramids which were just across the street. Could not have stayed in a better location!! View from the room was amazing. Comfortable bed and room was adequate for our needs with an en-suite and a reasonable cost

Comfortable and reasonable with the best possible location. Can be noisy with all the activity but that's true in all of Cairo. It's older but rooms are well maintained and the bed was fabulous. Views are spectacular and the sound and light show is not only free but impossible to miss every time they play it.
The attendant makes things happen upon request. Our airport transfer went without any issue, as did a day tour to Memphis and the closeby locations. Bottled water can be had just by asking. Breakfast is tasty and simple.
Security is good. The closet can be locked for added security of valuables while out.

They charge ABOUT $60 per person. You can pretty easily hire a driver for $65 flat, so this is a pricey alternative.
Mine certainly did when I stayed there, beautiful, clean bathrooms!
We offer a private airport meet, greet and transfer service for an additional fee of USD $25 per transfer/vehicle. Our representative will meet you INSIDE Cairo International airport, you will be assisted with your luggage, through customs and then transfer you to our guest house. If you would like for us to arrange that, please send us your arrival flight information.
I think this question put it in wrong place.
No beer sadly....bring it in duty free.
We did manage to get our driver to stop at one of the hotels nearby where we bought beer and wine. Egyptian beer gear their wine not so good.
Even buying at hotel is still cheap
No fridge in room
Have fun was great trip
