Detailed Reviews
As I lay here awake well past 10pm, the incredibly loud DJ music from some nearby club or music enthusiast (not sure which) is blaring at a volume to rival the lollapalooza center stage. This is our third night at this hotel and the third in a row with noise that is so crisp, loud and clear I have questioned if it’s coming from my room television (it’s not). This is of course only outdone by the (not even kidding) two ROOSTERS that begin their crowing right outside our window at 0400am. That’s the ambiance sorted, now onto the rest. The rooms are worn and dated but mostly clean. The bright spot is the breakfast. The downstairs restaurant is the one spot in the hotel that appears to have been updated recently. The food is good, but not exceptional.
The area is not good for walking and taxis are no where to be found in the suicidal death dance that is Cairo’s uncontrolled traffic (seriously guys, how about a stop light or two?!?) And the hotel will only set up ‘tours’ for you at what I considered a high cost (USD 50) for only transport to/from destinations like the main museum. They also set up legit tours, but if you only need transport (which you will need) you will spend a fortune here just to get back and forth to dinner.
Finally, the staff are professional but clearly trained to push tours on the guests. This is what we expected and thus was fine with us. The service staff are all uniformed and attentive, but seemed a little out of place in this sort of hotel. Ultimately, it feels a bit like a Fawlty Towers episode if it were filmed in the overcrowded, trash strewn, feral dog and cat infested streets of Cairo. But if you are coming to Cairo, virtually all the hotels are in those streets, so you can’t blame the hotel for the landfill outside.
Not sure where the 3 star rating came from, but it’s more aptly a 2.5. If you want a one day two night stop over for ONLY the pyramids, this is a suitable and inexpensive location. If you want more? Well, not sure what to tell you. Good luck!!!

Very old hotel in not a nice area to walk around and far from the city center.
Wifi does not work in the rooms neither in the lobby.
Looks a bit abandon as almost no guests.
It is close (by car) from the pyramids but in a busy street.
It was not our choice of hotel but included in the tour we booked.

Nice and clean, not too expensive, restaurant on site and others within short walking distance. I am American, so that gives you an idea of my standards. This was not a fancy hotel with extras, but it was new and there was a pool.

Like the previous reviewer, we were slightly worried by some of the dodgy reviews of the Husa on TripAdvisor. We were arriving at the airport at midnight and only needed somewhere to rest our heads for a few hours before a trip to the pyramids in the morning.
We were very pleasantly surprised. We were asked if we wanted a quiet room or a room with a view and chose the former. We were shown to room 807 which had obviously been recently refurbished and which was spotlessly clean.
Not an enormous room but space for two large single beds, a table and two chairs, a wardrobe and a dressing table. The bathroom had been refurbished too and was pretty much faultless, except for some remaining masking tape and some tiny splatters of paint from the redecoration. Excellent hairdryer and shower.
The beds were perfectly comfortable and we both had an excellent night's sleep.
The breakfast was probably the best we've had in a budget hotel in Egypt. A large buffet spread with an omelette station and a selection of both Egyptian and Western foods. Decent brewed coffee too.
There's even a small swimming pool which looked perfectly inviting.
If we had paid the rack rate of 95USD the hotel would probably have only merited a three star review, but as we picked it up for only 30USD it deserves full marks for truly excellent value for money.

It is the worst hotel ever and i have traveled a lot. People there they do not know anything about customer service. They are rude not polite and not safe at all for women.
One night when i was not there and my wife were alone in the room they asked to enter the room and not only this they asked her not to lock the door inside the room. My wife called me on phone and she was really afraid and it was the first time for here to be in cairo. It was the worst hotel to be safe in

Stayed at this hotel, for a long weekend, after the first night we went to see the pyramids which was great and all the staff were very friendly, untill i got back to my room and realised 200Euro had been stolen from right at the bottom of my case hidden with clothes, soon as i went to report this the friendly staff changed and me and my partner had to listen to the main manager shout and scream at us, and he was lying about everything and refused for us to look at the CCTV cameras becuase he knew the REAL truth was on there. When i wanted a police report they said i am not allowed and i will not be allowed to leave the country!! We think it was a hotel scam and many guests had other issues too, also it wasnt clean at all the bathrooms were disgusting, I recommend cairo but please do not stay in this hotel our trip was totally ruined!!

I started by checking Orbitz and a first it was rated a 2 star hotel but when I arrived after staying a Concorde hotel which was rated higher I was expecting another bad hotel. When we arrived it was great and clean and the rooms were nice and had been updated but most important was it had a new A/C unit and the bathroom were great. The water was hot and clean! I brought my wife and 9yr son so the room had 2 queen beds and single for my son. It was great to sleep in a nice bed! The hotel was nice with a pool and 2 resturants, coffeeshop, 2 giftshops, barber. They had everything you need and the area is alive with shops and resturants down about a 1/2mile which we walked everyday. The only bad part was there was no internet cafe but we found on down the road which was so cheap! The hotel staff does a wonderful job with everyone in and out and security is always present to help if you need it. We never felt we need security but it was there anyway. The only bad part was the hotle allows people to smoke everywhere but that is Egypt as a whole and not just he hotel. I rate the Hotel as a 4-star and I paid $28 a night there through Orbitz in early April. I would stay there again as we love the clean rooms and value which if failed to mention with free hot breakfast. The breakfast was okay but we just went for coffee and fresh pastries. The breakfast club staff in the morning were tops! Always wants to make us smile and I have stayed on more expensive hotel but for the price this place has my business again!

We booked this hotel through a reputable tour operator on the basis of pictures and descriptions on the internet. The hotel is described as 4* with discoteque, pool, internet and within easy reach of local attractions including the Giza Pyramids. The discoteque was non-existent, though personally we were not too disappointed by this. The pool was small and clean but was very much overlooked by people dining and we never saw anyone use it. We found the location of the pool surprisingly exposed in a very muslim working environment, and particularly as there was a Mosque next door. The internet was non-existent, save one machine on the front desk reserved for staff only. The Giza Pyramids was within walking distance, we did it in about 20 minutes but within 200 yards we were subjected to constant pestering from touts offering all sorts including camel rides. Having visited the pyramids before we were able to fend the touts off, but this would be difficult for many tourists particularly those travelling with children. There were actually no local attractions for the regular holiday-maker, though if you're interested in walking amongst local people going about their daily business and seeing how the other half lives, it's interesting. Personally we enjoyed this but it would not be everyone's cup of tea. However, it's true to say that staying at this hotel you can see the real Egypt - busy, noisy, dusty and pretty poor.
The hotel was clean, the room, albeit rather small and dark, was cleaned every day and laundry was returned, beautifully clean and pressed, the same day. However, from our room we had a wonderful view of 2 pigeons nestling on the decaying brickwork and pipes of the next building, 4 feet away! The staff were friendly and courteous but the notion of 4* service is obviously new on the agenda in this area. The hotel boasts a rooftop restaurant with views of the pyramids. The restaurant was good, not pricey, service a bit slow, and the view was spectacular...... despite rennovations on the roof during our stay. If you want to see the pyramids whilst you dine, go there early as the pyramids aren't lit up at night. This may be a seasonal thing.
The buffet breakfast was only just adequate and became boring after the second day.
We arranged airport pick-up directly through the hotel email prior to leaving - communication was excellent and the car arrived on time.
If you're looking for a 4* hotel, this is not it - the lobby is grand but beyond that there are no frills. We would best describe this hotel as a 2/3* - no frills, average but honest.

+1
I was here october 2013. I booked over one of the online booking portals (booking.com / hostelbookers) Required quiet room. The room was ok, clean but located to the front road. Next to this is a mosque. So it was a very noisy first night.
So next day i asked for an other room that i was offered. This one was leading to the back side and nice quiet - as far it could be (a mosque never vanishes and the calls to prayes are heard for sure).
The hotel has a nice entrance and lobby. The restaurant and breakfast area under the roof is really nice. You got a great view to the pyramids.
The room is ok - little old fashioned - but thats normal in this class of hotels in egypt. Cleanliness could have been better, but you get regular fresh towels. On this budget I dont expect more for a price that was about 25,-€ per night including intercontinental/egypt breakfast.
The breakfast was oki - starts at 7.30am a buffet with hot and cold stuff, cereals, yoghurt, fruits and fresh omelette when you ask for it.
The location is good for the excursions to the pyramids in giza or sakkara, dashur or trips to fayoum or wadi al rayan. you can get help for trips over the hotel or do it yourself.
its easy to go in this directions with microbusses - either direction giza central to get the metro to cairo or on the other side to the pyramids.
Close to the hotel - when you leave it turn right and walk along this long road till you get to a busy sideroad with many little shops and restaurants. You cross the main road you walked along to the other side - the area is called areesh - after a few meter in this area on the right side there is a nice supermarket where you can get whatever you need for your excursions on the day.
The hotel is nice for travelers almost all kind - but i dont think its nice for families - would be boring for the kids.no ac
