The Mena House sits at the base of the Pyramids and has an excellent view of them from some rooms as well as all the gardens surrounding the Hotel. The pools and restaurants (of which there are 5) are all excellent. The staff is extremely helpful and very concerned about your enjoyment. The history of the Hotel is explained through...

Great establishment with unbeatable views of the pyramids. Rooms are tidy & clean, pool is super and the service is just fine. The hotel also has a good selection of restaurants, i recommend "The Mogul Room" for Indian food.

It's got an awesome view of the pyramids. However they were very unfriendly towards Americans. We were stopped entering the pool area until a manager verified we were actually staying at the hotel, our final bill went from $150 to $250 USD, in part because we were double charged for breakfast ($60, they don't tell you that ever) and they...

This is the way and place from which to see Cairo and Giza. Worlds away from the crap in Cairo and a great base to travel out to all the precursors of the pyramids in the surrounding area. FASCINATING. This is a great time to go. Rates are deeply discounted for beautiful hotels and the country is incomparable. The most...

Old colonial hotel next to the pyramids with fantastic view. Unfortunately the money is missing to keep the hotel up to standards yet highly recommended for the location and the post colonial atmosphere.

The Mena House has it all starting with a view that makes you want to pinch yourself - whether you are seeing the pyramids while having a lavish breakfast, or whether looking for their outlines...

I have stayed at this hotel twice previously, both wonderful experiences in every way. This is the first time I've stayed here since it was purchased by Oberoi. The hotel is still a magnificent hotel and I appreciate new new, modern restaurant near the central courtyard. It's beautiful and well appointed. The service, however, in this restaurant is not great,...
