I stayed here for 3 nights in Nov 2019, paying a total of 5400 EGP for the stay (including all taxes and without breakfast). Allocated a room on a higher floor as requested with a decent view over the Nile, but positioned close to the lifts (despite explicitly requesting an end of corridor room). Obviously no-one paid any attention to the request. Neighbours were very noisy throughout the stay with random slamming doors throughout the night making sleep difficult. Also poor sound insulation from street noise (although that was less of an issue than the slamming doors).

Comfortable king size bed. Modern bathroom with separate shower and bath. Good quality towels. 2x500ml bottles of water provided each day. 20 min wait at check-in: very slow and cumbersome process.

Hotel location isn't great: very few cafes in the area to eat at and a 20 min walk to the museum.

Probably wouldn't stay here again.

Dear valued guest, Our hope is that all our guests experience a peaceful environment during their stay. That said, it was brought to my attention that your stay was interrupted by a loud disturbance caused by OTHER GUESTS/OUTSIDE NOISE. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and will take the necessary steps to ensure this is an isolated incidence. For this, I sincerely apologize. Regarding your request for an end of corridor room, we weren't able to fulfill this request because the good Nile views rooms aren't at the end of the corridor. Again, please accept our apology. Best Regards, Sheraton Cairo Hotel & Casino

Clean and comfortable. All staff following safety protocols. I love the fact that they have a gated entrance and check vehicle before entering and you go through metal detector before entering. Staff has been friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is tasty. Lounge just opened back up in evenings and is awesome with a fabulous view of Nile river and city on 26th floor, and sunset view is gorgeous

Spent 6 days staying at this property and had a really nice stay. The hospitality is wonderful and the staff are very friendly. They also had some nice onsite restaurants. Breakfast was superb every morning. With many choices in pastries and cooked foods and upon request omelets. The breakfast staff was very attentive and greeted us every morning with smiles. The rooms were quite large as well as the bathrooms, typical of what you expect of a Marriott property. Security to the property was very thorough as was entering the hotel. There was also temperature checks of all guests entering the facility. Location was near the Opera metro station and Zamalek island. Nearby are shopping malls and restaurants to choose from. Good location next to the Nile.

I booked the hotel for 3 nights during a tour of Cairo. I decided as a bonvoy elite member it would be great to stay at Marriott hotel for their exceptional service and understanding but I mistook this hotel as one of those. After staying at 200+ hotels around the world I have never had such a horrible and lack of understanding from hotel staff. It started after a long tour around the pyramids I decided to order in some KFC for dinner. Its a common thing to do if you get tired of room service or over priced Italian food from the hotel. Once my delivery arrived, I was told that i could not eat my food in my room or take it inside the hotel. That was SHOCKING because there is no way you are called a hotel if you cannot eat inside your room. That is the purpose of a HOTEL. They stated that a letter was sent out that forbid any outside food. I never saw it, read it, or was aware of such a letter at the time of my booking or even after. Usually this is given out in an email or told at check in so you can acknowledge. Its a huge deal to not be able to eat meals inside a room.

I since have cancelled my room for the last night and will fight to get a refund for my stay at this horrible place they call hotel. You cant tell me that for safety you cannot bring in KFC. There is no safety issues with KFC... ITS CHICKEN! I since then called up another Marriott hotel in the vicinity and they told me that it is outrageous and they have no such policy. I could order food or bring in food. Whatever I liked.

If you have a policy like this you need to let the person staying at your hotel know. And when the person complains you need to be understanding and see how what you did caused a misunderstanding. You should apologize and give some options. You could do so many things. Instead I was left with a bag of food in the front door. Embraced by all the people entering seeing me wait till another staff arrived only to tell me again that I cant take it to my room or into the hotel. The food was going to go in the trash because I was literally being forced to leave it outside on the floor to enter the building. Instead, despite paying over hundreds of dollars for my stay, I ate my dinner outside in the driveway.
This is by far the worst experience I have ever had from a hotel!

Our valued guest, First of all we would like to apologize for the misunderstanding that happened, but actually as we mentioned before to you, on the same day of your arrival which was the 15th of January, it was decided with immediate effect to stop any food delivery due to the current global situation for your safety and to follow all of the precautions mentioned by our state, we are always keen on making our guests safe that's why we took this decision. We arrive early morning in Cairo, so after all the hassle in airport, we finally arrived in the hotel and we were starving. So we waited a bit at the lobby and thanks god they send us to check in at the lounge floor.

The lounge located at the top and it's HUGE, I think that's the biggest lounge I ever been to, it's spacious and with high ceilings. So we could have a bite while the front staff is handling the check in, our room is ready after I finished the brekkie. As they are having renovation at the pool, I cant really get the room upgrade as I want but it's fine, we don't stay in the room much.

So we got the room that got partial Nile view, it got blocked by a giant building, but it's always nice to have a balcony tho. The room is cozy and clean, bedding is comfy, we have some good night sleep after our day tours.

And for the location is a bit tricky, as you know all the hotel is located close to the river, so it seems they dont have much different, but by this hotel spot, which is by the end/start of the road, most of the time we have to take a long way to get a U turn to come back. And if you always call Uber like me, you will find the driver drive away quickly as they cant really park downstairs and they dont wanna come upstairs because of all the security check. We nearly miss our flight by having trouble to get Uber on the way to airport. So the hotel is not far from everything, but there's nothing around, Uber doesnt cost much in Cairo, but remember you should always call it after you reach the ground floor.

So back to the lounge, we spend every night here, it's super peaceful and the staff is so friendly. They got some hot dish and all the cold cut and stuff that same as brekkie, hot dish change every night and is tasty. For alcohol, they have red and white or beer, which is good enough consider you are in Egypt. And the interesting thing is the lounge always seems empty, or because it's too big? No matter what it's such an impressive lounge with the best staff.

I nearly gonna say it's perfect but I just found out they didn't credit my stay till now, which I need the stay to maintain the elite status. They are very efficient by email before check out but now there's no way to contact them, I sent a email twice to them, twice to Marriott but still not even a simply reply. So I am not so sure shall I come back to the same property or there's still many choices in Cairo, what a shame.

We stayed in 4 hotels while in Egypt:
(a) Sheraton Cairo Hotel and Casino
(b) St Regis Cairo
(c) JW Cairo
(d) Hilton Corniche Alexandria.

I was delighted with all of them. By US standards they are all above 10/10 and one cannot go wrong with any of them. Thus, my comparisons will likely be splitting hair and comparing really minor elements of all four great hotels.

Sheraton -- we stayed in a junior suite. It differs by a small addition with a desk and extra windows, which makes the room much more comfortable and more pleasing. While, compared to other suites, this suite was very modest, we still enjoyed it very much. It was very functional and very clean. The cleaning service was very good. The breakfast was truly great, both in the restaurant downstairs and in the lounge. The lounge surprisingly had effectively the same dishes as the main restaurant (both had a great selection). The service in the lounge was exceptional and an extra benefit was a beautiful view of the Nile. The service in the main restaurant was mostly exceptional, although from time to time we ran into an unresponsive waiter or waitress. Despite the wonderful spread, we were spoiled with amazing food in other hotels and clearly Hilton Corniche Alexandria was amazing and JW Cairo maybe slightly better. (St Regis was beautifully looking but possibly slightly worse than Sheraton.) The incredible part of Sheraton Cairo evening snacks were the desserts. None of the other three hotels had as amazing desserts as Sheraton Cairo.

The service was extremely good, although again, given the amazing service in all hotels, I would put St Regis and JW Cairo even a tiny bit higher.

My slight hesitation is location. Even though it is very centrally located, the traffic made it very difficult to get to and from the hotel. On a few occasions, we got off a taxi 0.5km away as walking was faster than being in a taxi.

Nevertheless, we would not hesitate to go back to this location.

If I had to rank these hotels, they would all be above perfect: I would rank Hilton Corniche Alexandria 12/10, St Regis Cairo 11.5/10, JW Cairo 11.25, and Sheraton Cairo 11/10.

I felt very important from the time that the Club Lounge Assistant Manager Mai Medhat has emailed me before my arrival in few days, to confirm that everything is set for my stay and if I needed any special assistance, she will be ready to help me. In fact, she surprised me about her proactive email because I was searching for airport trasnfer and she made my day by confirming the car I wanted in less than 30 minutes and everything was booked.

When I arrived to the hotel, I had a warm welcome by all Sheraton staff from the time I stepped out of my car and everyone is willing to help and make my check-in experience comfortable. They escorted me to the Club Lounge to have my quick Check-in.

While I was in the elevator, I met the Restaurant Manager Hisham, he introduced himself very professionally and he invited me to experience the buffet breakfast at the restaurant in the next day; because they will have authentic Egyptian meals. He made me excited.

I arrived to the Club Lounge reception desk and there I met Sohaila, the amazing Lounge Agent. She guessed my name right before I introduce myself to her, as she was expecting my arrival and that made me feel touched and special! She welcomed me to the hotel and offered me something to drink while doing the checking in process. She also went beyond her work and went to show me the lounge and where is the best view to take pictures while enjoying the snacks in the lounge. She even took me to the balcony to explained the attractions around the area. It was really memorable experience and I can tell that Sohaila is really outstanding when engaging with customers, and I can feel that she has hidden leadership talents on her. She also introduced me to Mai the Club Lounge Assistant Manager, who helped me with my airport trasnfer arrangements.

I received my key and I was upgraded to a wonderful suite because of my loyalty program. I was really happy about the experience, though it didn't end there, I received a call from Sohaila in my room, checking on me if everything is alright with my room and if I need anything to offer, wow I mentioned earlier when someone being proactive is really making the difference about the whole experience.

The suite was super clean, tidy with beautiful views. The toilet is something I really need to appreciate, the amenity kit was all available and my advanced request of additional towels was also met by the housekeeping team, what else I want? : )

The buffet experience and the lounge are extremely beautiful and everything was delicious, surrounded by very friendly staff. Everyone loves to serve me and make my experience memeberable.

When checking out, I met Sohaila again in the elevator by coincidence and she greeted me and left everything behind to help me with my check-out process. She really gave me 5 stars service and treated me like VIP during my whole stay. The farewell by everyone was really appreciated by Mai, Sohaila and Madonna. Thank you all and I will definitely stay again at Sheraton Cairo Hotel.

The hotel is clean and rooms were renovated and comfortable. Service is average. Our preferences were high floor, nonsmoking, connected rooms; they gave us lower floor, smoking and adjacent rooms; the receptionist didn’t make the proper effort to find the right rooms or closer. Now I’m suffering from headaches and allergy because of the smoke. In general dining staff and cleaning service were good, not perfect but good.
Would I do it again, Most likely I wouldn’t. !!

The service is the best I've ever received at any of the Marriott Hotels. I've stayed here the past 10 years and the impeccable service is consistent and unmatched in the hotel industry.

The warmest reception greeting, the speedy check-in, the quick luggage delivery and it's sophisticated, modern ambiance makes a powerful first impression. It's open air reception makes you feel like you've walked into an art gallery.

The rooms are clean, airy and spacious. The beds and pillows are so wonderful and makes you feel like you've slept peacefully in a cloud. The amenities are completely furnished with the best products. Room Service, Housekeeping Staff and Laundry Service are responsive within seconds of your call.

The food quality at the Rawi Restaurant, the Club Lounge and the Bridge cafe is excellent and offers a wide variety of international selections. They will try to make whatever is not on the menu.

I'm happy to call Sheraton Cairo Casino Hotel my home whenever I'm in Cairo.

Staff were rude from beginning to end. I was with the My Life is A Travel Movie group. We arrived and it took forever to check in. Hotel should have known we were coming and prepared better. We didn't get to the hotel until midnight and it took until after 1 am to get in.

Worst hotel I've stayed at honestly. The staff are all rude, which was agreed upon by me and the 30 members of my group. Knowing we were coming, they had nothing prepared for our check in, and the process took over an hour to do. We arrived at midnight and didn't get into the rooms until after 1am. They also tagged luggage to the wrong rooms so people had missing luggage for a while.

After that late night, we asked if we can have boxes for breakfast, as we had an early morning tour. The staff said no, and were very rude about it. Askung group members to put food back 🤣. After we complained that we had to purchase breakfast, after already paying for our hotel stay which includes breakfast, the hotel decided to send the group host a free basket to make up for it, and did NOTHING for the rest of the group.

I will never stay at this hotel again, and I will warn my fellow travelers to avoid it as well. For such a lavish hotel, to be so disorganized for check in, and so cheap about the complimentary breakfast makes no sense. This was the worst hotel we stayed in in Egypt out of the 5.
