Giza is fascinating, its frantic, noisy and crumbling. You can taste the smog & fumes in the dry heat. However, it was worth everything to wake up to the pyramids & the sphinx opposite the room. What a location. Staff so friendly & helpful, organising...More

Absolutely recommend this hotel. Simple furnishings but superb service, a priceless view and literally right across the street from the Pyramids. The best siesta I had was resting in my air conditioned room staring mesmerized by the pyramids out my window.

Pyramids View Inn is quite out of the city. It will take a 40-45 minutes for a taxi to drive you down to the Tahrir Square/Egypt Museum of Antiquities. The cost of the taxi is about 75-100 Egyptian pounds each way. If you do not want to incur this cost daily, then you may want to book accommodations in Cairo city. Also, you can stay at Pyramids View Inn for a couple of nights to complete touring the pyramids, sphinx etc.. then move to a hotel/hostel in Cairo. This may be the way to go. However, Cairo hotels/hostels may cost more than the combined cost of Pyramids View Inn accommodation and daily taxi trips. You will have to make your decision based on the costs you are provided for different accommodations in the city and at Pyramids View Inn. Good luck.
