The hotel personell was very helpful. They made us feel at home from the first day on. We got invited to relax on the top terrace over-looking the pyramides the first night and we were served wonderful fruit smoothies. The hotel manager helped us organise our days and recommended a guide to us. The tour guide was Ahmed Mohammed. Ahmed gave us deep insights into the Egyptian culture, history and architecture. He has a master in Archeology and drove us to all important sights of Kairo. Only the visits to the Papyrus museum and to the Perfume museum were a bit unnecessary. The second night my children wanted to picnic on our hotel balcony and the hotel manager sent us a fruit basket. As said, the hotel personnel was very thoughtful.
Thanks to hotel's friendliest staff I enjoyed my stay to the fullest. They also helped me to organize a day trip with great guide Ahmed Mohammed and driver Islam. The window from my room opened right to the view of pyramids, the best view possible.
My name is Lucy and I was a solo traveler in Egypt. First of all, I would like to thank all people that made my one week trip a great and safe one. I started by booking the tour through Signature Tours Egypt and the manager (that is also the manager of Panorama Pyramids Inn) – Amir Ghonem – helped me and organized the tour in Egypt as I wanted it, gave me advice about what is worth visiting and where I can find the most beautiful landscapes. For Spanish tourists, you should know that the manager Amir speaks very well Spanish and went to the Faculty of Tourism in Spain 😊 Furthermore, as I was a solo traveler, he took care of me and asked me if I am ok and need anything each day. For the tours he provided me the best guide – Ahmed Mohammed – he actually is a walking encyclopedia – very knowledgeable (went to the Faculty of Archeology) and knows international history – not only Egyptian history. Now I know all Egyptian history from the beginning until the end thanks to him 😊 I liked very much that he did an interactive presentation of the history, asked me questions and also made a lot of jokes, took me a lot of beautiful pictures everywhere we went in Cairo, Giza and Alexandria and took care of me and advised me where to buy beautiful, cheap and legal souvenirs. He also took me to see some local family businesses with legal and original products – very good and lasting essences of perfumes (bought 6 perfumes for 150$) and original papyrus drawings that even glow in the dark – good quality for 100$. I would also want to thank Adel – the driver that took us in all cities – he knows all streets by heart (no GPS needed!). drove very well through the busy streets and got us on time anywhere we needed. In addition, he went with me to the Nile Cruise and the Pharaonic Village in Cairo and took care of me, made me photos and assured I have a great time. I actually made friends not just travel business partners in this trip 😊 For accommodation in Cairo I stayed at Panorama Pyramids Inn – also owned by Amir Ghonem – a nice hotel with good food and services – located in Giza just in front of the pyramids. It was nice that I could see the Sound and Light show at the pyramids each evening for free. Also, on the hotel rooftop there was a nice terrace with a lot of lights and comfortable chairs and tables if you want to enjoy a drink, something to eat and the show at the pyramids. And they even gave me gifts when I checked out 😊 After Cairo I went to Luxor by plane (booked by me) and Amir Ghonem helped me and arranged the tour through his partners from Luxor – Beauty Egypt Travel. The people from here were also very nice, took care of me and got me around the city. The guide here was Bassem Khames - also very knowledgeable with higher education in Tourism and Archeology and who knew many languages including English and French. He took me to the Valley of the Kings – west and east bank and he taught me many facts about the Egyptian architecture, hieroglyphs, customs and habits and took me nice pictures in the temples. And he was also an Orthodox like me 😊 it was nice to find people with same religion and habits as in Romania. He also took me to see some local original alabaster family business where I bought beautiful and good quality statues – 6 small statues for 100$. Furthermore, I would like to thank also Ahmed Rauoof – another representative of the Beauty Egypt Travel – that took good care of me and made me feel safe. He also has higher education – went to the Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotels EGOTH and knows a lot of things about history and culture. Ahmed took me to the Karnak temple Sound and Light show (waited for me and assured I have a good time), Banana Island (he explained the customs, described and presented me the famous ships that are sailing on the Nile and took me nice photos everywhere), helped me arrange the Luxor balloon tour and took me from and to the Luxor airport – he assured I am ok and all my check-in procedures were fine. As for accommodation – I booked on Booking at Mercure Luxor Karnak – nice place with a beautiful big garden around it (have seen a lot of species of flowers and birds) and also on the Nile bank – perfect to see the sunrise and sunset. It has also a pool, coiffeur and spa services – they made me a very nice Egyptian haircut and new look 😊. The people from the coiffeur were very nice and friendly and gave me tea and coffee. They were good people with a kind heart, ask for Nubi and Shima – they will treat you well and make you feel like a queen 😊 People in Egypt are nice, kindhearted and very friendly – I made a lot of friends in my adventure here 😊 so if Egypt is on your travel list (even if you are a solo traveler) feel free to explore it! 😊…
I will just start by saying that no matter how clueless a chief is, there is no way they don’t know how to fry some potatoes. Well, in panorama pyramids inn it’s quite different. They literally don’t know how to cook the most basic food in egypt. Everything from start to finish is literally drooling in oil. Everything and i mean everything tastes horrible. The beans had man hair inside it🤢. An experience i wouldn’t recommend anyone going through. Steer clear by any means even if it would mean you will die starving. P.S: i told everything to the manager but he couldn’t care less. Tried uploading the whatsapp chat but with no success.
I came to Giza to see the Pyramids again (after many many years) and decided to take a chance on this small hotel - it's not the fanciest one in the world, but what a gem and with amazing, lovely staff and a rooftop view that can't be beat. I spent four nights here and I think the food at the restaurant is just about the best in town - and the value here has to be literally one of the best in the world - highly recommend, and 100% pay the extra for the view room (It's not that much)
