Nice family run pension on the forth floor of a small street in Zamalek. An excellent option for Cairo. The neighborhood is full of shops and good restaurants. I walked around Zamalek easily alone. For further distances I took a taxi. Just ask the receptionist about the fares, as there are no taximeters. Breakfast is Ok. The waiters and the...

This hotel was located on a quiet street in one of the best parts of Cairo - Zamalek. Close by you find restaurants, cafes and stores. The rooms were great and they were cleaned everyday. Everything you needed was there, not less, not more. I think you'e allowed to smoke in the rooms because the smelled a bit of smoke....

The room was clean but very basic. A bit old and worn out but had all the necessities. Staff is very helpful. I wouldn't suggest breakfasts. You can get better value for money in the neighborhood. The location is amazing! Close to the museum, close to pyramids, very safe, lots of good restaurants and supermarkets.

Horus house hotel is special. There is an old Cairo atmosphere, calm, homely and relaxing, which is a blessing when you come back from the hustle and bustle of this great and noisy metropolitan. Situated on the 4th floor of a residential building in a tree lined street of Zamalek, which is at the heart of Cairo. There is no superficial...

The breakfast was amazing, very delicious, a lot of options, and a very nice setting. They had a marvelous sitting area. The rooms were huge, the bathroom was great, water warm, bath tub huge. My sister has a house in Cairo 10 minutes away from Horus. Whenever I go back to Cairo for a visit, not only do I stay at Horus, but so does my sister....the place takes us back to the Cairo of days. It's an old school hotel with old school furniture and old school food. I cannot really explain what...

I have been coming on private visits to Cairo for years and I mostly stay at the Horus. It is centrally located in this far flung city. My brother and daughter also always come here independently. It occupies the fourth floor of an older residential building. No pre scripted 'have a nice day' type customer service here, it is genuine...
