I celebrated my birthday in Cairo from the US. Great hotel, especially staff. Specifically the doorman Mazen Abbas. He was so welcoming and always checked in. Our group was so happy with his service. Also in the Lobby I believe his last name is Ragab, he was amazing and accommodating. Overall beautiful hotel, museum right next door, great food especially try Vino (on premise restaurant). The only reason not a 5 star is on the day of my birthday I ask Conceirge about a nice restaurant for birthday and if Cairo Tower was nice. I was told yes but it was not. Just a regular place so was a bit disappointed as they could have easily said this may not be a place you want to eat for a nice birthday dinner but we made the best of it. Otherwise I would recommend.

A great improvement on the Hilton it once was, and the architecture is somehow coming into its own. Iconic, perhaps! Daring, when it was built. Service is excellent, though at reception perhaps a little too slickly professional, but that's hardly a complaint. The pool is lovely, and staff are friendly. Breakfast good. Price acceptable. I would return.

My partner and I stayed for seven nights for my birthday trip. The hotel is very secure as they check every car that enters the property and also has x-ray and metal detectors which can be a bit off-putting, however it must be necessary and it gives you that peace of mind. We originally had a museum view room and the view of the city is great. You can see the busy Cairo streets but don't have to hear them. There wasn't much of a balcony, I would say it was about a foot wide. It was a bit colder in Cairo in late March-early April but the pool was open and the days that we were able to swim it was enjoyable. The staff was very friendly as one of the ladies gave us a tour of our room. The breakfast buffet had a variety of foods that we enjoyed. A few days in we switched to the Nile view Executive Suite which suited us since we had so many bags. You cannot go wrong with either museum view or Nile view. My partner surprised me on my birthday with a massage. The masseuse was named Koy and she was fantastic. They even gave me a free hat as a gift. That was the only free thing we got, however. Most hotels will give a free cake or bottle of wine for a guest's birthday, but not the Ritz! My girlfriend got me a cake but she did have to pay for it. They also decorated the room with balloons and rose petals. We were there during the Golden Parade of the Pharoahs and on that particular night we had an issue with our room service. Other than that there were no issues. We had dinner at the restaurant Vivo which was very nice. We also went to the top floor bar and the staff gave us free dessert for my birthday. Kudos to the staff for making our stay very memorable. If we go back to Cairo this is where we would stay. Cairo is a very busy city so it’s essential to stay at a hotel with top notch staff and security. The only negative about our stay was that my girlfriend lost her AirPods in the hotel and was not able to find them.

Travelled to Egypt with my daughter and stayed in Ritz for 5 nights while she was doing her online exams. Very relaxed stay and we were made very comfortable by the staff. COVID was obviously causing disruption of services but it was managed well by the hotel staff. Restaurants were running a limited service in compliance with the COVID protocol. The hotel has got traditional decor and is updated and maintained. Expensive hotel as per local standards but justify the high price. Worth visiting and staying.............

Spent two nights in room 923 and found the room and service to be on par with other Ritz Carlton hotels I have has the pleasure of staying at, in fact this was even better than the other Ritz hotels I have frequented . I will start by saying that check-in was prompt, friendly and informative. The room overlooked the Egyptian Museum and Tahrir square and was both large and well appointed. The bath room had tub, shower and two sinks and was large and well supplied. The AC worked flawlessly which I have found is not always the case in Egyptian hotels, even 5 star hotels. We did not hear any outside noise during our stay and the blackout curtains worked perfectly. Breakfast was the best we had during our three week plus stay in Egypt. The location is literally steps from the Egyptian Museum and if you want to dine outside the hotel their is at least one very nice restaurant within easy walking distance. We did not use the large pool but can say the gym on the second floor is large, cool and offers a wide variety of up-to-date equipment. The lobby is of the grand style and in addition to shops and and ATM machine is also home to a bank, a plus when you need change which we always did. The staff were uniformly helpful. In conclusion I recommend this hotel and personally plan to return before leaving Egypt in about ten days..
