This place isint the Ritz but is definetly clean, well kept and maintained. Staff is very friendly. For the value which is value for the money I am giving the place 4 stars. Close to the underground and plenty of resteraunts and stores and downtown so if you have something to do in the city this is the place to... More

Intrepid Travel use the King Hotel as one of it's mainstay places to start and finish their trips. I arrived a few days prior to my trip to Jordan so had 4 nights here. Firstly, the rooms are clean and pretty quiet until the 'call for prayer' or the dogs. But hey, I always travel with ear plugs so missed... More

I stayed here one night at the start of a tour to Nile Valley sites. Other than the fact that it is the standard 3 star hotel used by the tour operator, the hotel has few redeeming virtues. There was no heating in the room (cold night in February), the breakfast was the most pitiful of all the hotels stayed... More

King Hotel is prized by young foreigners for it's cheap rates, rooftop bar, and close proximity to the "Dokki" downtown neighborhood. Awesome Yemeni restaurants abound in this area and the Siliman Gohar Market is only a couple minutes walk from the hotel. That being said, the basic features of the hotel are lackluster. My bathroom was poorly designed with water... More

I spent three nights last week at the King Hotel in Cairo. It was a good basic hotel and in a good location. They are very accommodating and help you in any way they can. Wifi was only available in the lobby but it was free. I will definitely stay there again.

I stayed there for 2 nights with my husband. The rooms were clean. But there were no additional toilet papers. No one came to clean the room on the 2nd day. The water was warm. It wasn't hot enough to take shower as the temperature was cold outside. To get wifi, you need to sit in the reception area. You... More

Friendly staff, great view from the top floor bar. Cheap and the rooms reflect this point. My suggestion is that if you want to stay cheaply are not fussy then this is the place for you as the staff are good value and it is centrally located.

For a budget hotel this has everything you need on a basic level - it's clean, service is generally efficient, there is wifi in the foyer (it's pretty slow, but it's free), and there is a good supermarket right across the street. Breakfast is quite basic, and a couple of times there was no coffee - but all the food... More

Stayed here for 3 nights as part of an organised tour in June 2015. Arrived late on a Sunday night at the hotel which is luckily down a side street, slightly away from the manic Cairo traffic. I was sharing with a friend who had checked in separately so headed up to the room - our twin room was fairly... More

It doesn't look like much, but the rooms are clean and comfortable as long as you don't mind squeaky beds. The service is friendly and English is spoken well. This is a good budget option for a safe, clean hotel. The upstairs bar has good food and cold drinks. I would stay here again if I was still a uni... More
