An old-fashioned hotel in the downtown area. The room is spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is a wonderful place to stay in downtown except it is a bit noisy especially during early morning. During our stay in the hotel, Samir Fayek provides lots of help with driving us to Giza and Saqqara, giving valuable...

The Windsor Hotel gets top marks because it's a hidden jem with a great historical past, and super friendly and helpful staff. It is not a 5 star type of hotel and anyone who is looking for a flashy new hotel will be disappointed. But we thought it was great. The Windsor has been around for over 150 years and...

Honest, trustworthy and dependable are the 3 adjectives that come to mind looking back on my tour experience with Samir Fayek. He was not the cheapest tour operator, but I found his prices to be reasonable and a bargain for the services he and his guides provided. I did the usual Nile river cruise like many tourists. His guides arrived...

The hotel is centrally located and easy to reach with the metro (Ataba station). It stands out due to its gallant appearance and charming atmosphere. The well known bar on the first floor is a great place to hang out and to get in contact with other guests as well as locals. The staff is extremely helpful. Highly recommended!

The Windsor hotel is an excellent hotel with lots of character and incredibly helpful staff. The location is excellent for travelling around cairo with a metro stop near by. Just a warning if you've never been to Cairo the traffic is incredibly congested so you may want to have ear plugs just in case. The highlight of my trip was...

What a find! Where else will your room have a telephone from 1920 and the reception have an actual switchboard? Where else will you have an elevator operator? Only here at the Windsor! Built in 1893, this must have been some place back in the day. But although now it's a bit faded and certainly not for everyone, it's a...

Samir Fayek (+21123995147) at the Windsor Hotel was very helpful in organising at very short notice 2 days of organosed travel. Both guide and driver were friendly and were always willing to help me out if needed. Would totally recommend for a day trip out to Giza.

Not a 5 star Nile bank hotel...rather a reminder of past empire. We had a suite on an upper level outside which our "room steward" sat and greeted us coming and going. The dining room and bar are reminders of pre 50's Cairo, the staff is wonderful, the bird cage lift an artifact and the neighbourhood is infinitely fascinating. The...

My wife and I enjoyed our stay in downtown Cairo at the charming Winsdor Hotel. From the moment we walked in it was like going back in time. Our room was stately with an entry, large bathroom and spacious main room, all with high ceilings. The furniture was antique. The beds were reasonably comfortable and the internet connection was good....

I love old-style hotels and this is one of the best! The rooms, elevator, reception area, and restaurant/bar have antiquated charm yet modern amenities. Staff has worked here many years, treat guests like family, and gave excellent sight-seeing advice. There is a Metro stop about two blocks away near a small park. One employee, Mr. Samir Fayek, organizes tours and...
