Due to a flash flood we missed our connecting flight to Luxor after a 11hour taxi ride!!!! Managed to book here at 01:00 in the morning, so grateful they could fit us in. Eventually stayed two nights before we could catch a new connecting flight. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice. We ate in the lobby one night. I had the seafood platter which was beautiful. The prawns were fantastic. Second night we ate in their Thai restaurant, Rachawadee (they had three separate restaurants on site) the food was fantastic, so tasty, the duck was so flavoursome and the noodles were best I’ve had. Sadly the service did not match the food. We were made to feel like an inconvenience for eating there, so much so I refused to tip which is unheard of for me.
Starting with the airport transfer service which was very good and in time. Check in and out were smooth and fast. Breakfast is good. The hotel is way too old in every aspect. The rooms are from probably 80’s not been renovated. Lightings is terrible and flimsy, you worry to touch anything as it may break. House keeping is also bad. Generally it’s ok to stay however I would personally go somewhere else. See photo of bathroom scale just to have an idea of how old this hotel is.
Hotel lobby has a very loud 🙈🙉 singer the sound so loud & that is reaching you at the very far end of the empty restaurant. Restaurant at lobby level. We were the only table all over the evening. Bread not fresh . Beef fillet of very poor quality asked for medium rare got well done. Vegetables burned & tasteless. Pepper sauce bad , mushroom sauce has nothing to do with mushrooms. Waiters are friendly and nice but not presentable at all . This can never be 5 stars . Menu very limited choice of Italian starters , pasta or others . Didn’t dare to try desserts. Toilets at the lobby smelly . One of the worst experience of I have had recently. Never again 😤.
I started at the hotel for my birthday trip and it was amazing! From the first moment I entered the hotel we were greeted and taken care of from the doorman to the front desk to the wait staff st breakfast. Specially Ahmed,Haniand Mahmound (breakfast staff) remember my actually birthday and surprise me with a little cake and sang Happy Birthday in English and Arabic!!!! When you call room service or front desk someone calls you back in a timely manner to make sure your request was fulfilled. I recommend this hotel to anyone not only is the staff amazing but you can see the pyramids right from your room and even if you don't have a room view you can see them from the pool.
Despite being located on a major street, the hotel is quiet. Our room was clean and comfortable, as well. The staff was friendly and hospitable. We had a small issue with our tv that was taken care of very quickly. Much appreciated! The location is great for going to the airport. There are no restaurants close by, so you will need to either eat at the hotel or take a taxi. We ate at the Thai restaurant, Rachawadee, and had a great meal. Our breakfast was included with our stay. It's a buffet with a good diversity of items, including an egg station. I would recommend staying here.
