The Ramses Hilton garners appreciation for its prime location, close to cultural landmarks and the Nile, with guests frequently mentioning the stunning views. The hotel's cleanliness and attentive service often receive commendations, although some guests have encountered issues with room conditions and additional charges. While the atmosphere is described as welcoming with a touch of elegance, highlighted by live piano music, the feedback suggests that certain areas could benefit from renovation. The diverse dining options and excellent breakfast buffet are popular among patrons, though opinions on the hotel's overall value vary.

The hotel was super cozy and the river nile view is phenomenal. Hotel service as well was super friendly and way beyond my expectations.

I enjoyed the stay and had a very good quality time.

The pool needs to be larger and needs renovation

Let me start by stating that Hilton Hotels has an excellent portfolio of properties in both Cairo and throughout Egypt, and one really can't go wrong staying with the wonderful Hilton brand any where in Egypt. Hilton's one property in Egypt that has caught my eye the most is the Ramses Hilton, situated in the absolute best location in Cairo at Tahrir Square with outstanding views of the lively square as well as the Cairo Skyline, Nile River, and even the Giza Pyramids. The check-in procedures at Ramses are exceptionally smooth and swift, I have always been greeted with a smile and extreme courtesy. My only sadness with the check-in is that everything is done so efficiently and quick that one doesn't get a chance to meet and better appreciate the fine qualities of the wonderful team that is making this all possible. The rooms are spacious, modern and very well kept for a mature property located at such a busy location and with extraordinarily high occupancy rates. The food and service is exceptional in both the restaurants and the fabulous executive lounge. Everything in the room during my many stays there has always functioned perfectly, and the elevator waiting time to get to the room and anywhere else is never more than a few seconds. I also can't help but notice that everyone working at the hotel is always trying to be even better and better than they already are, and the managers are always there to chip in and help the staff with whatever task is needed, regardless of how large or small. The ongoing renovations are greatly improving an already fabulous environment without disrupting the ongoing activities at the property,
As with all prior visits, I am already counting the days until I am able to return to what has become perhaps my favorite hotel property of any hotel brand worldwide.

The dying plants throughout the lobby sum up the state of this hotel at present. The location next to the museum is ideal. The view of the river and the pyramids beyond superb. However, the hotel is struggling.

On a visit to the Terrace Cafe Restaurant on the advertised Italian theme night the only Italian item in the entire buffet was already cooked spaghetti and tomato sauce. There were dozens of selections in the cold buffet of different salads most with wilted greens and a number of unappetizing looking hot entrees. There were a plentiful selection of desserts.

Two smallish plates of salad from the buffet cost 395 Egyptian pounds. I was told it was the same price if I ate everything else in the buffet as well.

The large restaurant had only two other tables occupied while I was there. All the tables were set for dinner. Some place settings had cloth napkins, others paper napkins. I was led to a paper napkin table. As I sat finishing my salad, all the cloth napkins at other empty tables were being collected in anticipation of no furhter customers for the evening even though we were more than an hour from closing.

We stayed in this hotel with a small group of 6 that were travelling together. We had three rooms.

Upon arrival we were disappointed to see that the carpets were dirty, the furniture is old, the finishings are poor and it is overall in need of a serious renovation. When we asked for another room we were given ones that essentially were the same as the first. The standards are just not the same as North America. So if you are looking for an above average property you need to look for a rating of 5+

The hotel location was good - right on the Nile river and you could walk around to the Tower and some shops. Just have to be very careful with the traffic.

The breakfast had quite a bit to offer each morning and the pool area was very nice to use after touring each day.

However we ordered drinks by the pool one afternoon and were shocked at the cost. Not sure why we were charged such an exorbitant amount but it was certainly the last time we ordered anything from the hotel.

Hotel is quiet old, but generally fine for stay. Check in and welcoming were great, thanks to Hamza and Fatma for their attention and assigning us a wonderful room with picturesque Nile view at the 18th floor. The city outside is noisy but in the room is somehow quiet if you close the balcony door.
Room and sleeping conditions are excellent. HK Gomaa took perfect care about the cleanliness of our room, the kids were amazed with the decoration he made from the towels.
Unfortunately, the parking is not free here. This valet parking is 150 le per day and is located in the mall beside. The staff brought the car upon your request if you inform like 10 minutes before.
The area around the hotel is noisy and with busy traffic, you just need to run between the cars to cross to the next side. And there is Tahrir square, Egyptian museum etc. We did not have breakfast at the hotel, we prefer to discover local cafes around. There are a lot of places for any meal.

I stayed at this hotel as part of a group tour on a visit to Egypt. Group tours seem to be this hotel's main client base and the lobby areas were chaotic and crowded. The hotel staff moved us to a non-smoking room after we found that the room stank of cigarette smoke! The rooms could be better maintained, but the breakfast buffet was good with a decent choice for vegetarians.

We had booked three King Guest Rooms with City View at the Hotel for 3 nights stay from April 4 to April 7, 2020 through booking.com. We were forced to cancel the booking since the Government of Egypt has banned entry of foreign nationals on account of the Corona-virus, and stopped all International flights to Egypt. as a result our airline too cancelled the flight.

The Hotel had charged us the full amount for 3 rooms / 3 nights, a month after the booking. However, after the cancellation, they have refused to reimburse the amount charged to my card account.

It is shameful that a chain of the likes of Hilton is making profit out of a world pandemic. All other Hotels booked in Egypt have waived the cancellation fee, despite most bookings being non-refundable, but, Hilton Ramses is obstinate and unaware of their social responsibility.

We all will recommend that avoid booking at this Hotel in future like us. It is very risky.

This hotel was amazing but what made the stay great was the staff especially Ashraf fawzy and sharihan in the breakfast restaurant. We had booked the room with just breakfast and when I say that the entire staff made our breakfast experience astonishing and wondering that would be an understatement. Ashraf and Sharihan put in extra effort to make us comfortable and happy by doing anything to do so. Both of them along with all of the staff allowed me to feel welcomed and happy. I enjoyed the view from the 19th floor along with how everything was so simple to do since we were right in the middle of the city. I couldn’t have found a better hotel to stay in after coming from New York and being a foreigner to Cairo. As an Egyptian American, I have never seen a more cleaner or efficient hotel in all of Egypt and I would recommend staying here especially in a room with a side Nile View.

We stayed for 2 nights, after a return flight from Aswan and before getting picked up for a western desert camping trip. Family of 3, 11 year old kid. Check in took a long time, lots of people were coming back because their room keycards didn't work on the first (and sometimes, subsequent) try. But, we got welcome drinks and were upgraded to a junior suite with a nile view. It's wasn't exactly a proper suite, more of a larger corner room with a sitting area, but we were happy with the room anyway. The nile view actually wasn't very good, as it's generally not a great river to look at. But no complaints. We ate at the Indian restaurant in the hotel, which we found to be relatively expensive for Egypt, but it was fine.

The first day, we went to breakfast at Koshary Abu Tarek, not realizing that breakfast was free for even silver Hilton Hhonors members (I thought only golds got free breakfast) then spent the day at the Egyptian museum. Second day, we went to breakfast at the hotel because we had to leave at 8 for a desert adventure, and learned that breakfast was free, which is cool. :) Breakfast was good, eggs/toast/bacon to order, along with pastries and coffee/juice. It did the trick.

It is a bit of a walk to the Egyptian museum, and although it's close to the Nile, there isn't much to do right around the hotel. There is a small shopping mall type place across the street, where we got a few souvenirs for one tenth the price of the souvenir shop in the hotel (same cat statues, magic lamps, camel toys that you see all over Egypt).

Overall, the hotel was comfortable, modern and we have few very minor issues, it was a good stay.

Stayed for 2 nights. Air conditioning was sub par. Someone charged $100 worth of drinks to my room. I did drink at the bar, or I would have paid for them. I believe employees are taking cash for drinks and then charging the drinks to a room, then keeping the money. None of the signatures were even close to mine. They refused to remove the charges. The room was not well cleaned, let alone bring sanitized like the seal on the door said. Just stay somewhere else.
