On the historic Semiramis hotel site, guests can enjoy modern luxury by the river Nile. Semiramis InterContinental Cairo is 23 KM from Cairo International airport with a premium location in the heart of the city center next to the Egyptian Museum and Khan el Khalili.
The Hotel features a 26 sq m2 rooftop pool, fine dining with exquisite cuisine, conference facilities, a state of the art spa, a shopping arcade, and the Nile Terrace offering stunning views of the sunset over the Nile.
We immensely enjoyed our time at the Semirames. The service was superior--especially in the lounge on the Club Floor. Mr. Waleed and his staff, as well as those who served at the club reception, were very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this hotel and spending a bit extra to be able to enjoy the lounge.
I booked a three people room but the third of us didn't fit in the bed. We asked for a larger third bed but they don't have any supplementary bed that was long enough for any of us (we are average), after talking with the reception for more than an hour, they didn't solve our problem.
The hotel was great all throughout since we checked in. The rooms were always clean and had great ambiance and views! The staff's hospitality spoke to why they are one of the best in Cairo. We dined at the hotel's restaurant Birdcage every day for a whole week after the first time because of how great the food is, the ambiance was amazing at all times (we dined at lunch and dinner times), and the staff was really nice, courteous and very helpful when it came to selecting the best dishes. Their service was superb! The deep fried duck, mixed seafood and the deep fried icecream were my absolute favourites!
Last two weeks I had the opportunity to spend a long time at the Hotel. The hotel is one of the clearest and cleanest hotel. The hotel was the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. The surroundings were stunning, and we enjoyed our time at the hotel.
Very Good Hotel, staff very professionnel, Yasser Concierge very kind and Hesham (Reception) too. Very good terrace and very good restaurants & breakfast. Hotel very clean and very comfortable rooms. We will be back as soon as posible.
Great stay at IC Semiramis - love the team members and property with incredible views. The health club is one of the best in the region with a great swimming pool area. I recommend the club room access with great staff members to help you at all time.

This is my second extended (4+ month) stay at this hotel. My spouse and I have come to know it pretty well. I will definitely be here again if I need to come to Cairo for another visit. The best thing about the Semiramis is the staff. Many have been here for years and they really are helpful and friendly. Even in the Night and Day restaurant in high tourist season when they are handling hundreds of breakfast guests the staff are pleasant and not fazed by special orders. I'm greeted with a smile by the reception staff and by the ladies who bake fresh Egyptian bread. The egg chef sees me come in and starts my order. The buffet is varied with both western and middle eastern dishes. Housekeeping staff are also very pleasant and concerned for the comfort of guests. Ms. R and Ms. S on 11 are great, as is Mr. H on 15. All the staff in the International Club Lounge go out of their way to be helpful. If you have access to the Lounge it's a great place to have a quiet breakfast, a cup of tea during the day or heavy hors d'oeuvres and a drink at the evening happy hour. Laundry service is great -- shirts come back perfectly pressed and starched as requested. The restaurants are good. I go mostly to the 4th floor outdoor grill and the Birdcage (Thai) restaurant but have also tried the Pane Vino (Italian). Sadly the Indian restaurant seems to be closed -- I went there a number of times last year and liked it. At the pool, Mr. K is another longtime employee who is helpful and cheerful. Downsides: this is a big, busy hotel, especially during the winter tourist season. The lobby can get pretty crowded at times with people waiting for their busses to pull up or guides to arrive. Cairo is a very noisy city. If you're a light sleeper, consider a city view rather than Nile view, since that side of the hotel seems quieter. Also, check to see what the wedding reception schedule is before getting a room right over the pool -- some of the parties can go on with loud music into the small hours of the morning.…
