Madina Hostel
About
MADINA means CITY in Arabic. That is because we love our stunning city - CAIRO.
Welcome! We established Madina Hostel in 2020 with the aim of providing a social, safe, hassle-free and affordable space for solo travelers, couples, and groups.
Our contemporary design provides the perfect environment to take a break from a long day spent in Cairo in one of the three common areas. Socialize and laugh with fellow travelers, plan your itineraries over a free cup of coffee or cook together in the large fully-equipped kitchen.
Ideally located in the heart of vibrant Downtown Cairo, discover a haven of the local culture scene, lively cafes, restaurants, bars and beautiful architecture just outside of our doorsteps. We are right next to Tahrir Square, the Egyptian Museum and the Nile and in walking distance to the main bus station and the subway and a short taxi ride away from the train station.
Our 25 comfy beds are split in private rooms and two dorms. Breakfast & Linen included.

Not sure if it’s mismatch from the platform booking was made, we booked room with 2 beds even paid higher than normal price(a bit lost minute booking), still ended up with a room with 1 bed :/

The room was clean and we appreciated the walk-in shower. The welcome was friendly and the staff took great care of the customers and prepared hearty Egyptian breakfasts for us.
If the opportunity presented itself, we would not hesitate to return.
Thank you so much.

The access by the hall and the elevator are scary, you think the place will be a disappointment but quite the opposite.
Friendly staff, usually smoke outside the flat, which is a little uncomfortable when leaving the elevator. Very attentive to any requirement and always with a smile. They let us keep our bags while we traveled for the day to another city, allowed us to stay in the living room resting until our room was ready.
We did not have the best experience taking the tours we were recommended. However, we remained calm as it was a dream to know the city and its culture.

Highly recommend this little gem. Thanks so much guys.
"Definitely ask questions about the tours and what it includes Egypt tends to have a lot of private tours. Typing is expected for tour guides and entrance is not included "Read full review
