We had a 3-day stay at this hostel after reading many great reviews on Trip Advisor. The hotel staff were knowledgeable about the area and were able to recommend some favourite local restaurants. I wasn't too keen on having a shared bathroom, but the rooms with a private bathroom were sold out when we booked. The room was clean and... More

For the low budget, this hostel is very good. Their rooms and bathrooms are basic and also clean. The owner and his staffs are all good people to talk to. And they are willing to help and give advice on anything relating to having a good time in Cairo or Egypt. They can arrange airport transfers and if you book... More

As titled, I spent 3 separated nights in travelers house, it just made me be like at home. The host Adel and the staff Jasmine are super kind and helpful. Jasmine is not just a worker there but becomes one of my best foreign friends, she took me to the famous traditional Koshary restaurant and even cooked for me the... More

One of my favorite spots of the city is this hostel ! The staff treats their guests not only like guests but also like friends. They speak good English and can help you with everything (sightseeing tips, tours ...) You can always have a seat in the "living room" and share your interests with other people. The hostel is in... "Paris on the Nile", which Downtown Cairo was envisioned to be, can still somehow be experienced by the modern traveller at this charming, unassuming establishment. In an elegant Parisian style building that evokes feelings of a beautiful, bygone era, Travellers House offers a relaxing place to rest with high ceilings, parquet flooring, French doors and simple but stylish decor. The guys at the travellers house are the nicest people you'll ever meet in the entire egypt, especially Adel (the owner) and Maged. They even assisted in planning the rest of our trip to aswan and luxor at a reasonable price and all their contacts were just as good. In a country like egypt in its current unrest and problems,... Travelers House is perfect if you are looking for a great value place in down town. The place itself is small, has good rooms and beds with working air con, and a nice communal room and balcony. The location couldn't be better. The reason why this place is so much more than this is because of Adel and Marget (?)... More
