We stayed a week in this Cairo hotel and it was a very good experience.
We had a double room on the 8th floor overlooking the perpendicular street, not the avenue: very well soundproofed, windows closed we could hear no noise, neither from the outside nor from the hotel, except the air conditioning blow. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable as well as the cushions (it is also possible to request others according to our preferences). With the large desk, coffee table, armchair, as well as with the terrace we had everything we needed to spend time there. The room was very clean and well equipped, the furniture in good condition and practical: several lamps to light more or less loud, dimmer. There was also a mini fridge filled, a kettle with tea and coffee replenished daily, and a Nespresso machine.
On the bathroom side, everything was nickel, with the products provided, large and soft towels, a scale and a good quality hairdryer, a magnifying mirror. Only downsides: the fixed American-style shower head (which can nevertheless be oriented), and the absence of a full-length mirror to look at yourself before going out. The rooftop pool is small but cozy and we enjoyed it several times, the sunbathing is comfortable and traffic far enough away not to disturb. Going there in the morning, there were always several places available.
The staff of the hotel, the reception, room service, restaurants and pool were always professional and welcoming, and speak perfectly English, we had no difficulty communicating. The customer relations manager regularly asks if everything is okay to be able to correct a problem during the stay if necessary. One particular attention: I spent my birthday on site, and without informing anyone, a cake was placed in the room upon our return.
We were able to use the concierge service to organize a day tour of the pyramids and the sphinx. The rates are of course a little higher than the offers found on the internet, but the service was impeccable: the car was of good standing, comfortable and air-conditioned, with a very good driver. Our guide, Ahmed Lithy, whom the hotel called was professional and good advice all day. He was able to explain to us the different options available to us for entrance tickets on the Giza sites, as well as the activities around and their value for money. At the sites, he was able to explain the history of the different archaeological artifacts in an interesting way. On the other hand, if he offers to go through the craft shops (like a papyrus factory), we could refuse when it did not interest us without any problem or forcing.
Close to the hotel, it is possible to find groceries for small errands going to Nile Corniche, as well as restaurants, including Taboula which was very good. It is also possible to walk to Tahrir Square (20min) and visit the surrounding area, or to go south to visit the palace of Prince Mohamed Ali (20min).

We stayed at the Kempinski Hotel from January 24th till January 28th and then we went to Luxor, came back and stayed for one more night before we flew back home. If I ever go back to Cairo again, I would choose this hotel in heartbeat. The rooms need a bit of updating but the AC worked fine, the water pressure in the shower was great and the wifi had no issues (even faster than the Vodafone SIM card we bought at the airport). The first time we stayed, we were in a Nile view room and the scenery was amazing from the room. The staff at the reception was so friendly and helpful and our butler Mr Hasan was the best. Although we didn’t plan to eat breakfast at the hotel initially, after the first morning, we couldn’t give up on it. The biggest thanks go to Ms Hala, the baker. You can’t skip her breads. The breakfast had a lot of variety from Egyptian cuisine choices to East Asian ones like beef curry and rice. We also had dinner both at the Italian and the Turkish restaurants. You might find it a bit pricy but you won’t be disappointed by the food or the service. Finally, we swam in the heated pool that was on the rooftop which was another highlight of this hotel. There are quite a few hotels in the same area but I believe that Kempinski, as an international brand and with their professional staff, is by far the best option.

A very special hotel. The staff in the reception department are wonderful, especially Mr. Carlos, Maryam, and Hassan. All the room operation, cleanliness, and room service are quick with requests... A special and very quiet location... A very special view from the pool on the Nile River... Thank you all and I will definitely repeat my visit soon.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Kempinski in Cairo.
The location is perfect for downtown Cairo and within easy reach of the Cairo Museum.
The lady in guest relations (Abeer) was super helpful and also the chap who led the Concierge (Wael). Setting up tours with guides was no issue for them and they will match your budget requirements to the services offered.
Our Nile facing Junior Suite was excellent, with perfect views of the river Nile. Loved the room, comfortable bed and pillows to die for. The room was always clean and tidy and room service did a great job.
Breakfast team were helpful and polite, sometimes a bit slow in service and actually listening to your specific request but all very friendly.
We ate most evenings at the Pool Bar on the roof (level 11) as we were out all day on tours. (Alaa) who worked at the Pool Bar was very friendly and easy to talk to. Great views across Cairo and the Nile at night!!
Some of the waiters in the Pool Bar could listen a little better and deliver the service a bit quicker. On occasions I had to remind them 2-3 times to say bring a glass of water, basic stuff which could be improved with better service training.
I thought overall our stay at the hotel was good value for money and food/drink was reasonable as long as you avoid alcoholic spirits. [a single G&T cost us 960 LE)
Would I stay there again - for sure I would and recommend it to my friends and family. Thanks to all the team who helped us during our stay.

The Kempinski Nile hotel has stunning views across the Nile, a lovely pool on the rooftop and all the accompaniments you would expect of a good hotel - delicious breakfast, clean and attractive rooms, bathrooms and restaurants, comfortable areas for socialising and relaxing. The exceptional hospitality is what marks out the Kempinski Nile from any other , and this story is exactly my recent experience…. I gave Soliman, a doorman what I thought was 200 Egyptian pounds as he carried my heavy suitcases to a waiting car. When I returned in the evening, I was called by Sabry, a manager, who then visited my room to return a 100 Euro note I had given Soliman in the morning!! My mistake- an error ( never keep two or three currencies in only place!) What honesty, what professionalism and what kindness. The Kempinski Nile will be forever remembered by me and I can highly recommend it to anyone that would like a warm welcome and an extremely high level of courtesy and care. Thank you Soliman and Sabry and all the people at Kempinski Nile.

We recently stayed at the Kempinski Nile Hotel Garden City Cairo for 5 nights in a Madina View Suite. While we initially requested a Nile View, the hotel staff did their best to provide us with as much of a view as possible. Unfortunately, this was one of the very few positives of our stay.
To begin with, the hotel fell far short of our expectations for a Kempinski property, which is globally renowned for luxury and exceptional service. This hotel, however, felt more like a 3-star establishment at the most. The building itself was old and poorly maintained, with little resemblance to the photos advertised online.
The lobby was uninviting, consisting of a small reception desk and two small couches. The remaining seating areas belonged to the café, making it uncomfortable to sit there without purchasing something. Similarly, the rooftop pool and sitting area, heavily advertised online, also gave off the same impression. The pool was extremely small and disappointing, not living up to the photos. While we didn’t use it due to the weather, its underwhelming size and atmosphere made it unappealing regardless.
The state of the suite was equally disappointing. One of the bathrooms was outdated and equipped with visibly dirty fixtures. The couches in our room were stained and had to be replaced after we complained, and the carpets throughout the building were similarly stained and in dire need of maintenance.
Adding to the frustration was the lack of access to the Nile due to construction work. Despite the hotel’s name and advertising, the Nile was completely blocked off by the construction work and the busy main road, something the hotel failed to mention.
The service was another significant letdown. While the staff were polite, their constant attempts to solicit tips made every interaction uncomfortable. From lingering outside our room in the mornings to waiting expectantly after simple greetings, the tipping culture felt excessive and out of place in a supposed 5-star hotel. At checkout, we were further dismayed when the minibar charge was rounded up without offering us the change.
This experience has left us deeply disappointed. It is truly disheartening that such a subpar establishment bears the Kempinski name. After traveling to many parts of the world and experiencing the high standards Kempinski is known for, this stay was an utter letdown. We cannot recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cairo, as it tarnished what should have been an enjoyable stay. In fact, it turned me off from visiting my birth place again.
Final Verdict: Avoid this hotel. It does not live up to the Kempinski reputation or the standards of a luxury hotel. It should be rated a 3-star hotel.

This hotel has great views of the Nile and a highlight was the rooftop pool. It is small with only 8 sunbeds available plus several tables and chairs, but it is such a great spot to watch happenings on the river, night and day. We also enjoyed evenings in the jazz bar and a beer daily in the chocolate lounge after sight seeing. The bedrooms were lovely, clean and with very comfortable beds, down duvets and everything you could need including slippers, dressing gown and toiletries. The showers worked well and tea and coffee and in room bar items were topped up daily. We ordered breakfast in the room twice and there was so much food we ordered for 2 instead of 4 the second time. It was a great service and the food was good. Staff were always very helpful. The hotel is a 10 to 15 minute walk from the nearest Metro station or from Tahir Square so very well situated. We didn't eat in either of the hotel restaurants. There is not that much about the area but we do recommend Tabouleh.

The kempinski is the hotel that I must say I appreciated more than others because despite being in Cairo which in many ways is a chaotic city, noisy (we could hear the horns honking from the room every second, despite being very high) and also very dusty. This hotel from the entrance appeared very clean and elegant, and at the door we were greeted by the staff who thought of the suitcases and accompany us to reception Up in the room we immediately noticed a monitor that welcomed us and a table with two mini bottles of wine and many herbal teas So cute, The bathroom with cute slippers that I still keep today, the bed what about Never slept in a bed so soft it felt like sleeping On a cloud He had an amazing topper, Opening the curtains we realize that the immense window on overlooked the Nile What a splendor the sun reflected I would stay there to watch it for hours. We decide to go down for an aperitif The room of incredible elegance, soft lighting to focus even there only on the view from the windows That's crazy! All attention to detail From the restaurant to the breakfast area A buffet that spoiled you for choice Abundant and from sweet to salty For all tastes .. I remember with great pleasure the strawberry juice that remained in my heart, sweet at the right point and pulpy. Top To spend the afternoon a pool on the penthouse that allowed you to admire the city from all sides The only drawback for us Westerners is the Spa Because it is not possible to enter as a couple but women and men enter two different environments so I didbil wellness path alone. The hotel is very close to the Egyptian museum and with a taxi close enough to visit the pyramids The most fascinating journey ever

Needs attention to detail!! Although overall I would recommend this hotel to others, when it comes to a boutique hotel at a 5 star level, you expect a certain level of service and quality that I felt was not there for a 5-star rating. For instance, the food was not the best. I had ordered a burger in room service and it was basically not salted and very bad quality even though it was described as an angus beef burger. Upon complain, they just provided us with a fruit plate. Similarly, the power went out the next morning and we had to walk down 4 flights of stairs in a dark and creepy service staircase using our phone flashlights with a stroller in our hands and child and we got in apology was a plate of fruit. Seems like fruit is the only thing they consider an equal compensation. Would I would have liked would have been another meal to compensate for the bad one or a discount on the room rate for the power outage.
What really bothered me most was the service in the Chocolate lounge in lobby. We had invited a few local friends to come visit and hangout in the lounge for have after dinner drinks and dessert. The service was terrible and the waiter would not even come to us. He was more interested in ending his shift. It took 15 minutes just to get an Iceed tea and everything was given in disposable because he claimed it was end of the day and would be noone to wash it afterwards. This was especially embarrassing for us as we had boasted the hotel having a great lounge since it's a 5-star facility. When we had checked out a 3 in the morning a few hours later, nothing in the lounge had been cleared up as the server had just left at the end of his shift.
In terms of the room, that was one of the best parts. It was a comfortable room and nice facilities. The workers are all nice and that's why I still give it 4-stars because end of the day, it's somewhere nice to stay. If they just focus on the quality of their food, the service in their lounge, and compensation for issues that are not in the control of the customer, these would make it toward a 5 star hotel.
