I dont know why this place is rated so low. Everything is clean and the staff are really friendly, the shower has hot water, you get just what you would expect from a hostel. The hotsel is very central so you can reach tahir square within 5 minutes. Highly recommend!

Do no waste your money or time. The hotel is falling apart. The bed sheets were dirty with dried food stuck to them. The bathroom sink sprung a leak and the solution from management was to put a trash can under it. The mosquitoes will eat you alive even in the middle of December. We booked with their partner hotel and were given here instead. Then they tried to charge double for an airport shuttle. They wanted $30 USD though advertises $15. I called the airport and got one for $12. Don't waste your money.

My plan was to stay in Cairo for 5 days, and ended up deciding to leave early and go to Hurghada. The reception gave me a lot of crap for doing this, and made me pay for the airport transfer (which is understandable but they were just rude about it). The night receptionist was very nice, but the others were not helpful, and just wanted to push their own tours and mentioned money at every chance they had. The neighborhood (while being centrally located), was just so noisy and busy with no real culture there. The room was fine, the ac was a plus. There’s no central hanging out location like a hostel should have, and I didn’t really see anyone else there (even though I was told it was fully booked). So even though the price and room were fine, I wouldn’t recommend the hostel in general.
