I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! The rooms were meticulous, clean, and very modern. I was impressed that there was an iron, a electric kettle, and a bidet in the room. The bathtub was also large and spacious and I, a 6ft (183cm) tall man was able to stretch out and relax. Two free water bottles were supplied daily as well as tea and coffee bags. The service was great and the front desk was eager to help me find my way around by giving me maps and detailed directions. This was great because the hotel is situated right by Insadong (the tourist district) a temple, the palace, the main city square, a subway station (jonggak), and relatively close to Bukchon Hanok (the traditional style village). Perfect location for seeing the best of Seoul!
My only complaint was that the breakfast buffet was a little pricey at 23000 won. I ate for an hour and a half so I got my money's worth, but it was just a tad steep.
When I checked out the staff (Helen) was so cordial and got me an ice coffee to go! It's the little things like that that make me a happy customer. Highly recommended
DIRECTIONS: go to JONGGAK station take exit 2 and walk straight out until you see an intersection (when I was there it had a Paris baguette on the corner across the street from me) cross that street and make a left (left at the Paris baguette)and walk about 3/4 of a block. There should be a large back building on your left just after a few restaurants and an underground parking garage entrance. That's Shilla stay!

Good restaurants, coffee shops are near and comfortable train locations.
It is good to have a sofa near the window and the bathroom has all necessary items including lotion,shampoo and soap.

The hotel has a modern atmosphere with clean accommodation. I stayed for 4 days and the staff was kind and it seems like the hotel owner has a sense of what travels need for a foreign country stay. The wall outlets have their own converter from 110v to 220v. I stayed the first two days in a room with the basic option. It had a tiny tea table which was difficult to work with so I upgraded the room for extra 5 dollars. That worked for me as the room has a desk and a desk lamp. Overall I enjoyed the hotel at a great price.

Although there was an unpleasant experience in the room cleaniness, a staff member dealt with it efficiently and took care of the issue right away. The staff are professional and help you out quickly at the reception. Rooms are on the smaller side and bed was a queen bed. For my young daughter and me it was just about enough however we wouldnt mind more space. View was beautiful as we were on the 19th floor. The cleaning staff did a very good job each day of our stay. The bone of contention and the one which costed me my sleep was the confusing air conditioning. The room had an AC console however it was clearly not something I could control. The room would heat up to the point of 27 degree C and my calls to the reception was usually responded by statements like ‘the hotel has central heating and they have no control’ and also sometime in the middle of the night the AC gets switched off. Two nights in a row had the issue and finally an engineer was sent to clean the filter however same thing happened each night. I picked one more interesting statement that this does not happens in the 12th floor. They would offer me to change the room however by the time we wud wake up groggy it was time for us to leave and see seoul and we used to be back only late evening. We managed rest of our stay with a room fan. Its a nice professional, perfectly located hotel however this problem ought to be solved.

I had a pleasant check-in thanks to the friendly staff. I had an even more enjoyable time thanks to the room being equipped with just the essentials. I used the family room, and the bed was reasonably soft and the blanket was very comfortable, so I had a good night's sleep. It's a paper cup, not a ceramic cup, so I can drink coffee and tea with more peace of mind. The water pressure in the bathroom was very strong and there was a bathtub, so I was able to enjoy a fun bath time. I also liked the scent of the amenities, so I was very satisfied. The view of the building outside the window was also great. It was nice that the windows were ventilated so I could use it neatly!

The bed is good and the floor is high so the city view is pretty good~~ Since we have 3 children, my husband had no choice but to sleep on the sofa and it was okay haha. It was nice that it wasn't a carpeted floor since I have a child. I don't have to wear shoes. I said I needed towels in the morning, so I was very grateful to the person who gave me more and cleaned the room. The hotel staff were also very kind! I also had breakfast and it was delicious, the staff was friendly and it would be nice to have some types of cakes. Oh, I got a parking fee of 10,000 won? I have stayed here for a day with my son. The location is convenien, BURGERKING is just a minute away and convenient store and starbucks are in the same building. The room was not large, but it was neatly organized and equipped with the essentials, such as a basic table and chair, and a simple table next to the bed, so it felt like there was nothing unnecessary.
