The place was dirty: smell of ammonia and disgusting stains on the sheets. Staff very rude but above all attention to scams: 1) if you want paid by credit card they will charge you the 10°/• of commission. They Kindly suggest to pay everything by cash... 2)They will not do to you any invoices finding excuse like: we dont do it or we dont have a printer ( that is your problem!) Last but not least the breakfast was simply disgusting: cooked in very bad hygienic conditions (on the reception desk) and very bad taste starting from the glass of juice that was tasting like a detergent for the bathroom. STAY AWAY!!!!

I stayed in a single private room, which had a comfortable bed and working AC. Sound insulation was good - there was minimal noise from outside with the window closed. Drinking water and coffee provided, home made cooked sandwich provided for breakfast. Wi-Fi speed was good. Bedding was only basic (no duvet) but sufficient. Shower was luke warm but not hot. Service was Ok and the staff spoke good English. The staff could introduce and book DMZ tours. Small towels and shampoo provided, though no toothpaste. Location is ideal for getting around, with 3 lines of the subway at the nearest station and a 7/11 right next door, though I think Myeongdong would be a better area to stay from a point of view of restaurants and night vibe. Overall though, this was a comfortable stay with no issues.

Stayed there for 4 nights. Getting there by airport shuttle is most convenient. Tell the ticketing staff you are taking number 6001 to Baiton hotel. Seoul N Hostel is a blue building, just right opposite Baiton Hotel. Now this is the not so nice part... The check in time is around 3pm. It was too early to check in when I reached there at 9am. I was told my room was not ready yet. The staff told me it should be ready by 12pm and I can leave my luggage with them. He asked me what time I will come back. I answered 1pm. He said ok. When I went back at 1pm. Nobody is at the counter. I called the mobile number pasted on their phone. Not sure if it is the same guy. I told him my name and I am back at the counter. He told me my check in time is 3pm and to come back around 2:30pm...so I went out again and csme back at 3pm. Another guy is attending at the counter. I made the payment. He said he dont have change (owe me 2000 KRW) and asked if it is ok to write me a note to show to his colleague. I agreed. My luggage is placed already in the room. Mine is a single room. Small but functional. I can tuck my luggage underneath the space below my bed. There is a wall hung TV but not much programs choices. A small window which I discovered will turned into a mirror at night. The door is using number lock system. Shampoo, a bar soap (opened) and toothpaste is provided. Lucky that I have gotten a toothbrush from Asiana as it is not provided. I took a paper cup from the water dispenser (provided every floor)outside my room for mouth rinsing. Breakfast is from 8:30 to 10:00am. The sandwich is prepared on the spot, really good.Nicer than the popular Isaac toast IMO. You can bring your food up to the roof top to enjoy if you like. After breakfast, I showed the "2000 KRW IOU" note to the staff on duty. He read and then asked me for my room number. He said will place it inside my room. When I am back to my room in the evening, I didn't see any money in my room. Well, the staff are quite nice in general but the problem is different person take turn to man the place. Communications is not good amongst them. I have decided not to waste time chasing for the money since it is just 2000 won. Hope they can improve in future. Will I stay there again? May consider if it is only for 2 nights stay given that the bed is comfortable, wifii is strong and the location is convenient. For longer stay, I would prefer a business hotel that have a desk in the room and breakfast to start earlier than 8:30am..and check in at 2pm instead of 3pm.

The bed are comfortable and the room is small but very clean. The shower is very modern and in good condition. The breakfast is very good, made fresh and by hand every day. Not too much to do in the neighborood but poditively it is well desserved by public transport and you are only 20 min walk from city centre. You can walk alongside river which is very pleasant. Overall a very good stay at a very reasonable price

Word for the confused traveller: if you made reservation on booking.com (and probably other platforms), your reservation may have been under a different hostel name. But stay focused on the address. In any case, once the check-in was clarified, most things about the hostel were pretty good. Room & beds clean. Toilet was one of those built-in with a shower. There was on-site breakfast included, 8am-10am. My room had, for a winter visit, the disadvantage of having ceiling-to-floor windows, so it got pretty cold in the room for a January visit. Heater (air-conditioner doubling with a high temperature function) worked fine but took about 3-5 minutes to subdue the chill. But the room did have a view (of the main street, Dongho-ro, outside, and in summers without the cold the presence of a view must be a plus). Price and location were good. 250k KRW for 4 nights, including New Year, for single occupancy of a double/triple room with a view. Location was just about 1 block south of the Euljiro underground pedestrian passage, from which you can either take the Seoul subway or walk the distance of a few subway stations. (A part of the subway line followed the same underground passage.) Markets in Dongdaemun and the museum & art centre within walking distance.
