I’ve stayed in all four points in Seoul and I think while the one in Gangnam is the best, this and the one in Guro is much more worth it for its price point. I don’t think you’ll be able to find a room for $65 while staying on floors between 20-30. Since there are office buildings below, the lowest floor you’ll be staying on is the 20th floor. So for those worried about noises, there won’t be any coming from the outside. I got upgraded from the standard to the deluxe which is bigger and got a room on the 30th floor. The standard rooms are 27smq while the deluxe is 35sqm. I still think even the standard room sizes are bigger than the average in Seoul. The inside does not look outdated or anything but because it’s made from wood, many of the furniture looked badly worn, not dirty though. Even the robe... it looked like it has been washed over 100 times. Bathroom was spacious and looked modern. The breakfast was free since I have platinum status. However, I think I would skip next time. It’s very basic, not good enough to wake up for. Jaime, who checked me in was very friendly. He wore a mask but I could still see him smiling a lot. For female travelers: I suggest not to walk outside, but walk underground from the station to the hotel. Because there are many many homeless older men all surrounding Seoul station, it didn’t feel that safe. But if you’re just talking about the few blocks surrounding the hotel, then I think it’s fine. There are restaurants around if you use Naver map to find them within 5 minutes walking distance. You won’t find much on google maps though.…
This is a newer establishment that is in a very convenient location. If you're coming from Seoul Station, take Exit 12 and follow the signs on the underground path. Its about a 10 min walk or so; a good option in the brutal Korean winter, and there are some restaurants and bakeries on the way. You need to take the elevator up to the check-in floor (it's not on the ground floor). The hotel decor is modern and pretty cool looking. The front desk was friendly and efficient in getting me settled in that evening. They accommodated my request to be away from the elevator, which I appreciated. I found the actual room a bit underwhelming. With just 1 suitcase opened, the room felt a bit cramped (sort of like a Japanese business hotel). At least it seemed clean. The furniture, TV, etc were all just ok, although some room elements felt more modern. I did appreciate the free bottled water. There was barely any space to hang your coat along the wall (no closet). There was a decent view of the city. After I called the front desk, I quickly received an ironing board and iron, which was quite good. The wifi was good. The bed was comfortable, and I liked that there were multiple pillow options. There wasn't really any problem with outside noise. The bathroom also was just adequate in size. The shower was fine. I would have liked more space at the sink for your toiletries. The bar/restaurant next to the front desk had friendly service, but the burger was just average and pricy. For breakfast, try the small cafe on the ground floor (outside of the hotel, but not underground). Checking out on the last day was friendly and painless. Since I still had some business in the afternoon, they stored my bag for a while, which I appreciated. In the end, although the room felt a bit small, it was a good experience. I could possibly come back if I had business in this area again.…
This was my second stay at this property. Nice place, very convenient to Seoul Station. I've read other reviews that said it was hard to find. You need to go to exit 12 from the station and follow the signs, not that difficult. Great breakfast, simple food available at the lobby bar is good, even if slightly overpriced. Staff is helpful, friendly, and generally speak passable English. If you come to Seoul and need to either take the train to another destination of just have access to the subway to get around town, this is a good location and a good choice of where to stay. Some fun spots with good food nearby.
I always assumed the name meant that they intended to meet four important touch points for a great stay. This hotel definitely did so for us! It featured a great location, comfortable room, reasonable price and kind, attentive staff. What more could you want? From the airport, we took the AREX express train. The hotel has underground access from Seoul Station exit 12. All major subway connections are right there too making this a perfect hub. The hotel is located on floors 19-30 of a high rise making it quiet inside. The room was small but well appointed including a rainforest shower, comfy beds and commode with multiple wash and dry settings. The two-for-one breakfast deal was well worth it. We had an enjoyable breakfast. But the real sign of a well-managed hotel is the staff. Everyone from check in, housekeeping to the restaurant were kind and accommodating. We would definitely stay at The Four Points Namsan again and highly recommend it to anyone who values the same touch points as we do.…
This is the 3rd time I've stayed here, and it's because it has a great location. Once you get off the Airport Express train (AREX), you can walk to this hotel, as the train station connects to this hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff are polite, friendly and courteous. There's plenty of restaurants close to the hotel. There's also a few convenience stores very close. You're close to Seoul Tower and Myeongdong Street. I'd highly recommend it.
