Located at Seoul station, this hotel is great for those who want to travel to other cities using the KTX. It is connected to the station through a series of underground walkways which is good in case of inclement weather. The room itself is basic and tiny. Trying to open 2 medium sized luggages proved an incredible feat that required shifting the beds and reorganizing the tables and chairs. Other than that, this hotel is good for the price paid. The service was great, and the staff are able to speak good english.
I chose this hotel for its location at Seoul Station. It is located next to Twin City Residence. Directly connected to exit 12 at Seoul Station, approximately 15 minutes walk after getting off of the airport train platform. The tricky part is to trust all the signages and keep in moving towards exit 12. This process will involve walking up and down escalators and getting out of the station going towards Lotte Mart/Outlet. There is an underground corridor at exit 12. As long as you keep going there will be signage for the hotel. I stayed 9 nights at this location and reserved a twin room. It faced the station. I had no problem with noise. Everything was as described on the website. Check in process was straight forward. Housekeeping, front desk and repair all responded within a reasonable timeframe when I called. Bed was comfortable. I had the “do not disturb” light on all the time and did not need any cleaning. I had asked for fresh towels, toiletries and toilet paper a few times and swap the old supplies out. I had a rental car and parking was complimentary at this hotel. Highly recommend downloading the Marriott Bonvoy app since I took care of business with the chat with front desk feature. The one complaint I have is the process of getting a taxi. I was told taxi drivers refuse to go to first floor, a proper customer loading zone. Instead these taxi drivers all wanted passengers to load on B1 at a busy crosswalk with buses and cars racing past. I do believe that is a safety concern and this issue should be taken care of. I understand going to first floor loading area ( entrance of garage) requires the driver to go around the building. If these taxi drivers want business, they need to do it safely. I hope this hotel management can work out a better taxi pickup/drop off plan.…
Hotel was largely as expected. A convenient stop next to Seoul station and easy to reach by all modes of transport. Only issue was that it was quite cramped for 2 people and would hazard a couple getting a small room, better for solo travellers. Otherwise did a fine job and happy to recommend for the convenience!
The tiniest room I've ever stayed in - I'm lifetime Platinum with Bonvoy. I could have lived with the size of the room, but the temperature was unbearably hot and the room was stifling. Went down to the bar for my free drink offered for Platinum Elite guests - closed by 8:55pm.
The service wins here. Every time I approached the reception, I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness, professionalism and the enthusiasm of the ladies there. From check in to check out, it was amazing. If I could rate 4.5, that would be my rating. And the ladies at the reception would be responsible for that. The room 2525 is on the small side. We booked it knowing the size, so it was on us. Just the reality of seeing it IRL was surprising. It is a clean, basic, decent stay. No bells & whistles (except for the exceptional service) but pleasant. It is v well connected & you’ll find lots of food everywhere.
This is my second time staying here. The convenience of this hotel being connected to Seoul station and the subway is always a plus. When I arrived there was a huge line to check in which I’ve never seen before. The line was from the front of the lobby to the back and it wound around. It seemed like forever just to get checked in. I did check in through the app when it was time but I was not provided a mobile key or a room number so I’m not sure what the purpose of checking in through the app was. I eventually had to wait to get checked in again at the front desk. When I arrived in my room everything seemed OK until I got to the bathroom and found a piece of hair on the toilet seat once I put the lid up. It made me question if the bathroom was properly cleaned especially during times of Covid.…
I booked 3 nights at this location because it was convenient and pretty new. What killed my stay and the reason for the poor rating is their ridiculous policy on guests bringing outside beverages. I had a cup of coffee purchased from outside that I brought to drink while catching up on work. An employee informed me that outside beverages are prohibited and that I would need to discard the drink. The reason was because I was sitting too close to their bar/lounge area would need to purchase from them if i wanted to drink a beverage. The desk area with outlets I was sitting at was only near the bar location. I understand this policy for alcoholic beverages but for coffee and water?! Beware of inane, ridiculous policies. As an elite member will never stay here again.
I’ve stayed in all four points in Seoul and I think while the one in Gangnam is the best, this and the one in Guro is much more worth it for its price point. I don’t think you’ll be able to find a room for $65 while staying on floors between 20-30. Since there are office buildings below, the lowest floor you’ll be staying on is the 20th floor. So for those worried about noises, there won’t be any coming from the outside. I got upgraded from the standard to the deluxe which is bigger and got a room on the 30th floor. The standard rooms are 27smq while the deluxe is 35sqm. I still think even the standard room sizes are bigger than the average in Seoul. The inside does not look outdated or anything but because it’s made from wood, many of the furniture looked badly worn, not dirty though. Even the robe... it looked like it has been washed over 100 times. Bathroom was spacious and looked modern. The breakfast was free since I have platinum status. However, I think I would skip next time. It’s very basic, not good enough to wake up for. Jaime, who checked me in was very friendly. He wore a mask but I could still see him smiling a lot. For female travelers: I suggest not to walk outside, but walk underground from the station to the hotel. Because there are many many homeless older men all surrounding Seoul station, it didn’t feel that safe. But if you’re just talking about the few blocks surrounding the hotel, then I think it’s fine. There are restaurants around if you use Naver map to find them within 5 minutes walking distance. You won’t find much on google maps though.…
This is a newer establishment that is in a very convenient location. If you're coming from Seoul Station, take Exit 12 and follow the signs on the underground path. Its about a 10 min walk or so; a good option in the brutal Korean winter, and there are some restaurants and bakeries on the way. You need to take the elevator up to the check-in floor (it's not on the ground floor). The hotel decor is modern and pretty cool looking. The front desk was friendly and efficient in getting me settled in that evening. They accommodated my request to be away from the elevator, which I appreciated. I found the actual room a bit underwhelming. With just 1 suitcase opened, the room felt a bit cramped (sort of like a Japanese business hotel). At least it seemed clean. The furniture, TV, etc were all just ok, although some room elements felt more modern. I did appreciate the free bottled water. There was barely any space to hang your coat along the wall (no closet). There was a decent view of the city. After I called the front desk, I quickly received an ironing board and iron, which was quite good. The wifi was good. The bed was comfortable, and I liked that there were multiple pillow options. There wasn't really any problem with outside noise. The bathroom also was just adequate in size. The shower was fine. I would have liked more space at the sink for your toiletries. The bar/restaurant next to the front desk had friendly service, but the burger was just average and pricy. For breakfast, try the small cafe on the ground floor (outside of the hotel, but not underground). Checking out on the last day was friendly and painless. Since I still had some business in the afternoon, they stored my bag for a while, which I appreciated. In the end, although the room felt a bit small, it was a good experience. I could possibly come back if I had business in this area again.…
This was my second stay at this property. Nice place, very convenient to Seoul Station. I've read other reviews that said it was hard to find. You need to go to exit 12 from the station and follow the signs, not that difficult. Great breakfast, simple food available at the lobby bar is good, even if slightly overpriced. Staff is helpful, friendly, and generally speak passable English. If you come to Seoul and need to either take the train to another destination of just have access to the subway to get around town, this is a good location and a good choice of where to stay. Some fun spots with good food nearby.
