My wife and went to spend the night in Gangnam for her birthday and the Shilla Stay in Yeoksam was our final choice of hotel. It has moderate (for the area) prices and the staff were nice. There was some wear and tear in our room that I noticed and the rooms are not as sound proof as they could be (we could hear a drunken party next door) The biggest selling point of this hotel is its location, it was incredibly convenient to both the restaurant and theater we went to. The charging of parking of hotel guests didn't make me too happy though. However overall this is a fine choice for a place to stay.

This hotel is located 10 min walk from Yeoksam station and one subway stop away from Gangnam station, main business and commercial area of gangnam district. You can find a few restaurants nearby, but is quite convenient to go gangnam station where you’ll find a hundred more options.
The room is very practical and cozy with everything you need. It has a very comfortable bed and shower (that sometimes leaks from the glass door). Service is pretty good, in line with Seoul average which means a very high standard already. Breakfast is not included but you can find a better deal by booking together with the room in advance.
Overall a great value specially compared to other more expensive hotels in the same region.

Hotel located in between two stations and both are on line 2, convenience to take the subway anywhere.
The room was just average and service was not good.
There's sign in washroom about saving the planet, but what they provided in the room were paper cup. Some days house keeper would throw away the used cup, collected used tea spoons and left two new tea spoons for me. Some days the house keeper would not throw the used cup away and used tea spoons were still in my room for two days.
House keeper changed the bed sheet and pillow covers, there were two hair left on the bed.
Pillows were super soft, I used all four pillows but still lying on one pillow

The rooms are in the average for Seoul, clean and reasonably quiet.
Internet is free and quite fast.
Service is poor. If you don't put the DND sign, they come in to clean up before 8h00. In the breakfast room, that closes at 9h30, they invite you to "clean up your table" at 9h00.
The breakfast is always the same, no variety at all. Food is barely warm and after 9h00 there is basically nothing left on the buffet.

Do not stay here, this hotel es below average but what I didn’t understand is how a hotel turn off the air conditioning in the rooms. It is so hot I already called the front desk two times but they keep telling me that this is how it is and they just offered to borrow me a fan.
I do not recommend in fact I really want to change hotels. I will attach photos my room temperature is 26.5 Celsius and 27 Celsius. This is not acceptable

The decor is modern and simple, functional and minimalist. Rooms are not big but have all one needs for a night rest and maybe a little overnight work. The only issue is that there are no English TV channels, not even the usual CNN and BBC World that are commonplace most international hotels, so if you don't speak Korean, Chinese or Japanese, the only channel option is English speaking Chinese channel CGTN, which though international in scope, clearly tows the line of the Chinese regime.
Breakfast food is of very good quality and fully satisfactory. There is also a gym.
Given the competitive price, all in all this is an ideal place for the short stay, individual business traveller with little time to spend in the hotel.

I was so impressed by the friendly service and food quality that I couldn't believe it was a 3-star hotel.
In particular, the quality of breakfast and dinner will be remembered for a long time.
In addition, the front desk staff were willing to listen to what we had to say during check-in, and I also got the feeling that this was a hotel with a professional mindset that thinks from the customer's perspective.
I would like to recommend Shilla Stay Yeoksam for a simple staycation with family for travel or healing~
