We've been staying at Vabien two times and are very pleased. The rooms have been perfect for a large family stay. And we have had need for that when our family expanded through adoption both times. The hotel is placed very central in Seoul, about 10 to 15 minutes from the very City Center. The closest subway isn't on the...

The Vabien suite 1 offers reasonably priced, good sized family accommodation in a central location in Seoul. The apartment we stayed in had 3 bedrooms. Two of bedrooms had single beds. The apartment was self contained. Good kitchen and laundry facilities. No english instructions provided but when needed the staff were happy to demonstrate how things worked. Staff were friendly...

It is a good hotel to stay if going for a holiday with your family. The staff is friendly and will try to help us with their best effort they can do. Very near to the train station (sundaemun). Easy to travel from one plave to another. About 2 minutes half to get a direct bus to incheon international airport....

Stayed here while in Seoul. Very convenient and clean. Staff was very nice and willing to help in any way they can.. It is a great place for families. It is very close to the subway and taxi services. Close walking distance to some museums and Kobo bookstore. Loved this place.

The Vabien serviced apartments has great location, very spacious, and clean. Vabien I was the first to be built so it is a little older and furniture and floors are a little worn but it was comfortable and felt like having a place if your own. There were 5 adults, in a 3 bedroom place, a queen and 2 king...

The location for Vabien 1 is its advantage. - 5 minutes walk to Seodamun station. - almost 80% of attractions we went to are within a 10 km radius. - airport is accessible either by bus (6005) or train (only 1 line change at Gimpo Airport through Line 5) Furnishings wise ; - Furnishings were quite jaded. To be fair,...

We spent a few days in Vabien 1 last week and I must say that the location was excellent. It is close to all the shopping areas like Dongdemun, Namdemun, and important land marks like Palace and Seoul tower. Even most of the embassies are very close by. The drive to airport was very comfortable (about 40 mins but expressway...

We stayed at the Vabien 1 (there are 3 Vabiens - which is very confusing) for almost 6 months. The room we were initally shown (clean, with rugs, bedside lamps, cushions and a double bed in the second room) was not what we got to move into and both the website and promotional pack given to us have very dated...

We stayed at Vabien II during April 2011. It was a very pleasant stay and very good value for money. A very spacious three bedroom flat, a little bit worn but great for a family with two children. The flat was cleaned and towels changed every day apart from Sundays. The location was great, just 10 minutes walk from Seoul...

Staying in Seodaemun

Neighborhood Profile
Seodaemun
Walk within this area, centered on what used to be the western gate of traditional Seoul, and you'll get a glimpse of Korea’s past through the beautiful and historic buildings that are scattered throughout. Whether wandering around Deoksugung’s palace walls or touring more historically somber sites such as Seodaemun Prison, this is one of the best places for culture, architecture, and history lovers. Jeongdong in particular is a beautiful place for a stroll in spring and autumn.
