We were up front about having 3 dogs and they asked for proof of vaccines. We had to call back several times (about 5 different time in less than an hour) because 2 of the dogs didn't have their rabies shots and we didn't know how soon we could get that done. The staff was very understanding took the time to keep answering all of our questions.
When we arrived the rooms that were reserved were more expensive than what we were quoted. They worked with us to get more affordable rooms closer to the original price and even managed to keep the room close together. Only 2 doors down from each other.
One of our dogs got sick on Chuseok (when everything is normally closed) the front desk called local vets until they got us an appointment. They even called the taxi gave them the directions and made sure the taxi was ok with having a dog ride in it.
Everyone was always kind, attentive, and helpful. The rooms spotless and the beds comfortable. Shout out to amazing room service that were quick and efficient in cleaning our rooms while we waited in the cafe downstairs with the dogs. There are also a lot of food options close by. Easy to walk the dogs round too.
Would recommend and stay again!
Thank you everyone at Fraser Place Central Seoul for helping my friends and I have a great Chuseok stay-cation.
P.S.
All dogs are fully vaccinated and healthy
The room is very spacious, if you splurge and get the 2-room deluxe you get a kitchen/living room, separate bedroom and spacious bathroom).
You also have your own washing machine for laundry, ironing board etc. Perfect for a longer stay!
We LOVE the fact that you can walk to Lotte-Mart (at Seoul Central station) load up on groceries and have breakfast/drinks in your hotel room. Great value, super central location.
Will definitely stay there again.
Only one slight problem: We stayed twice on this trip (first 3, second 4 nights) with a Busan-trip in between: the first room had some (minor) cracks in the flooring, as if there's been water damage(?), can't be sure. Anyway, it was borderline cosmetics and didn't bother us too much. Second room was up to par and spotless.
There are plenty of convenience stores within a 5-minute walk, and a supermarket and the subway station is also 5-10 minutes away. There are plenty of restaurants in the area too. It is also a nice area to walk around in the mornings. Taxis also routinely pass in front of the hotel.
We had minimal interaction with the staff, but they were very courteous, and checkin/checkout was straightforward. We arrived a little early at around 1pm, and the hotel was quite strict with checkin so we didn't get our room until 3pm.
- during my first day there, we realised there was something wrong with our accommodation's bidet button. Initially we wanted to wait till the following day to let the staff know as we had checked in late (at around 8pm kst). However my mum said we should just let them know earlier and see what could be done. So we contacted the front desk and within 5 mins, they sent a staff up to check for us. The staff member spent about 40 mins as he ended up changing for us our whole toilet bowl system (he checked a few times first b4 going to get a new one and then changing it for us) which my mum & I were really grateful for since it was already so late at night but the staff member still went out his way to help us.
- the hotel is actually a stop away from Seoul station so if you need to, u can ask the staff directly and they will go check for you. There's actually alot of bus that goes to seoul station. However, there's only 2 bus that goes to FRASERS from seoul station. The staff will still be able to check that for u! They are very friendly and will check for u!
- on our last day, mum & I had alot of baggage and we thought of getting a bellboy to help us come and bring the trolley up and bring our baggage down. However, when we called the front desk, the lady at the front desk said that someone had already been 'booked' for another tourist so the bellboy couldn't come for us. We told the lady that it was alright and we would come down on our own. When we reached the lobby, the lady seemed to feel so bad we both had to make 2 trips up and down to bring our baggage down. She also helped us to book a taxi and, still seemingly feeling bad that she couldn't help us, she offered a cheaper alternative for us to travel to incheon without needing to pay for the extra toll charges!
So overall, I'm glad I went back to FRASERS for my 2nd trip and even though it was my 2nd trip with them, my stay has always been a pleasant one with them! The amenities provided in the room and well enough for our usage!
The room has everything: (towels, shampoo, shower gel, dishes, iron, refrigerator, stove, microwave, washing machine, umbrella).
Everyday the service brought new water and cleaned the room.
The hotel has a spa area and a gym. We really liked the whirlpool, we went to there almost every day, there is also a private area for women and a private area for men with a sauna and whirlpool.
Also we saw a cafe and lounge zone but didn’t eat/drink there.
Workers in hotel were polite.
I think that the hotel is very good and we didnt find any minuses, the only thing that upset us: check in could only be done at 15:00, we had to wait a lot after a long flight.
You can see also some photos I posted.
Everything was clean, the staff was always so helpful and courteous, and the other nice thing is that the hotel is conveniently located close
to multiple subway stations and bus stops.
I’ve been back home for less than 12 hours and I already miss staying at Fraser Place. Definitely will consider staying there again the next time I take my family to Seoul.
The room was large and comfy for a family of four with 2 double bedrooms, a large living, dining area and kitchen. So much storage.
The beds were rock solid, far too hard for me and my husband.
Fixtures and fittings were perfectly fine if starting to look a bit dated (no usb ports for example).
Staff were very friendly and got us our room 15 mins early.
Location is good, not as good as Orakai Suites in Insadong where we stayed for a week but still a good location to get to places.
