Enjoyed our stay in this hotel that’s snack within Myeongdong. We booked a junior suite so the room was spacious unlike the usual smaller room in Ibis. The beds, one queen and one single bed, were comfortable and the room clean.
Stayed here 1 night with my wife and kid. The hotel room was small, parking is payable 15K won a night (with coming in and going out privileges) however there is limited parking and every time you want to drive out you need to inform the reception before. Reception is on the top floor. The rooms do not have a bath tub and the bed was average. No bidet which was surprising. We had been given a corner room but the wifi was so weak at that spot that it was frustrating. It was raining heavily when we were there but the hotel did not have any umbrellas to loan us. No worry you can buy some at the shopping area What was amazing was the location, you are right at the heart of myeongdong and close to subways and bus stops. Very convenient for travelling around. Many food choices in myeongdong. Lotte department store is just across the street. Hotel Room: 3 Stars (Small room, tight bath area, hard bed, no bath tub no bidet ) Room View: 4 Stars (View of Lotte Department store) Service of Staff: 3 Stars (A bit short handed as they have many guests and you might have to wait a while to be attended to) Lounges/Restaurants: NA Room Service: NA Location: 5 Stars (Near the shopping area, many transport options)…
Checked in yesterday. We were given a decent room, then they offered us an "upgrade" eventhough we didn't ask for one and we ended being in a smaller room with smaller windows than the first... if you have read the reviews. You know the rooms are already tiny. Smaller windows means room is darker and with one of the lighbulbs not working, it is a dark room. That's not the worse... one of the beds has lost support on one side. The beds also have a musty smell. Tiny dark rooms are bad enough but not being to have a good night rest is not acceptable. After explaining to front desk, who promised to look into fixing the bed or changing the room, we came back today and they said the hotel is full. What about fixing the bed? On their booking website, the room rates included breakfast, on our first morning going for breakfast we found that they do not serve breakfast. When questioned, front desk said that because of the pandemic, they did away with the breakfast but it was not reflected. I do not understand why the cafe is open but they cannot do breakfast. This just seems like an excuse to cut corners. They have also changed the entrance. It's not reflected on Google map. So good luck to finding the place. And did I mentioned the shower head? It must be the tiniest one I have seen. Like 10cm wide? Disappointing even for an Ibis. If you are looking for a good night rest and a nice shower, staff and operations who fulfil their service promise, avoid this hotel. …
Good location but after covid-19 pandemic hotel doesn’t have breakfast service. In my opinion, at least hotel should offer a meal box for platinum member or give extra point or any extra benefit cause of they cannot service the breakfast to customer
as a accor Platinum Member, got the benefits: early check-in, room upgraded to suite room, late check-out until 4pm & welcome drink. the front desk staffs were proficiency and helpful. haven't been here for about 4 years. noticed the part of the hotel been renovated. great location. the lunch set also recommended.
Last time I stayed in Ibis myeondong was 2017, the hotel been totally renovated, same concept but they change the entrance to the side of the road, room and floors have a fresh feeling, service wise was ok considering the price , I was checked in by Hazel and checked out by Tony ,who I must say was very helpful, friendly and keen to work. Highly recommend Ibis if you looking to stay in that area.
I had a comfortable and pleasant time with my daughter. Locationally, the connection with the center is good The sauna was not in good condition The facilities are insufficient It was a good two nights though
Location is fantastic. Right in the tourist heart of Seoul and well linked by metro. Took a junior suite and room was massive for a great price. Service was efficient and friendly at the same time. Would likely stay here again on next trip to Seoul.
Clean and the space was good for 2 of us. Location perfect, close to train stations. Underground to Lotte Mall. Close to many restaurants as well. Staff at reception speaks English which was very helpful.
My first time staying in this hotel and is also my kids first time coming to Seoul. Room very dusty, we are either sneezing or skin itchy. You can see the dust moving around. The tap is faulty and slanted to 1 side. There is no breakfast available here. If you’re an Accor member you will entitled to a free drink. Please do order from the list and don’t order with food together.(There is 10% discount no matter how many pax)Waited for quite sometime and food arrive very oily (the olive oil fill up the 1/4 of the bowl when u finish the pasta) and salty. When I receive the bill I got shocked that they charge the welcome drinks when me and my daughter did ask is it welcome drink? The lady say Yes to both of us (at different timing). They is no Cctv and no manager for the restaurant at all so whoever serve you need to rectify it. My kids very upset and angry with everything. They can’t wait to check out. My last night then they repair the tap. I left another 11 days and I choose other hotel instead. There is really a distance from subway. If you stay here for first time and you do carry luggages and want to use the lift instead of stairs u will need to walk more to reach the hotel. With kids and during winter time quite challenging. If I come with my parents I won’t choose this hotel unless I drive if not every time they need to walk from subway is really tiring. Using the subway lift you will need to cross the road and then you will walk past the stairs then continue all the way down. Is not that obvious so keep a look out. I came across 3 staff and (only check in staff) her english is better the rest need to buck up.…
