We had an excellent stay and what it made even better was the staff. Kudos to Ms. Yu Jin who was a gracious host. We are a family who enjoy no frills accommodations and the place was just perfect for us. Excellent location, decent and clean and an unbeatable price to top it all. If your looking for 5 star amenities, this is not your place. But if you want a simple guesthouse to spend the night, this is it.
The room was clean enough and have some facility that we needed.( The room was humid a little bit) They were selling adopter for 1000W it was very helpful. Staff there were kind and friendly. I would difinetely stay again.
Location of the guesthouse is good, within walking distance of Jonggak subway station, either Exit No. 4 or Exit No. 12. Many foods outlets/shops around the guesthouse. The ground floor of the guesthouse is G25 convenient store. From this guesthouse, guests can walk to Myeongdong - 10 minutes & to Anguk subway station to Insadong Street. Room is small, with no chair or table. But are given shampoo, liquid lotion for bath. No tooth paste, tooth brush or disposable shave are given. Breakfast are simple, breads, coffee, tea, jam, butter & ramen. Overall, if guests dont mind the small room with double decker bunk bed, this budget guesthouse suit you.
First of all: 24 Guesthouse Insadong is amazingly located: 30 seconds from Cheonggyecheon, and in walking distance from Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung, Namsan and other central attraction makes the location of this place amazing. There is one major remark, though: it's in Insadong, which is an area full of bars and restaurants catering to a young crowd, partying all days of the week. There was always immense noise from the streets during nighttime, and drunk people shouting aloud. We might have been unlucky with the room, though, as some reviewers are noticing silent rooms. The staff was always nice and helpful. Breakfast was simple (toast, jam and coffee - and cup noodles!), but nice to have included. The room was small, but that's expected for the price paid, and was absolutely no problem - there were even a small washing machine in our room! The wall to the toilet is semi-transparent, it could maybe be a problem for some. The one major drawback, though, are the rock hard mattresses - we have never lied on anything like it! This ruined sleep quality quite a bit, and was a big letdown. Next time visiting Seoul, we will probably look for something a bit more outside of town, to get more silence and better sleeping conditions for the same price.…
First impression was shock at how tiny room was given it was not cheap. Bathroom was ridiculously cramped with shower that comes out and saturates whole area. Towel was also tiny... more of a hand towel. Room was not overly clean, hair on floor and in drain. Location was great, close to station and walking distance to many places. Lots of restaurants and bars on doorstep. Staff were difficult to find most of the time. Room had heater and air conditioning plus a tv. For me, I would say a hotel would be better value. This place was too pricey for what it was. Cramped with 2 people in room and no privacy as shower is a frosted glass Window that you can see though!!!
