The room is quite spacious and they refill the amenities everyday. Coffee, tea, mineral water are all complimentary. The bed is good, not comfortable but not bad enough. The ahjummonim cleaned our rooms every day so thank you so much for keeping our rooms clean!
About the breakfast, they served various kinds of breakfast from american breakfast to korean breakfast. They also served some yakult which is pretty rare for me, but overall the taste is great! However i think the space for breakfast is not big enough since my event at that time had about 150 participants with staffs and during breakfast time it was always so hard to find a place to sit.
The ballroom is quite spacious and they have lots of varieties of buffet menu which is really great and tastes good. Overall, it was a great experience staying in this hotel.
Never going to stay there again.
No convinience store, but they do provide water dispenser and too many young student stayed and i think that it was me and my group stayed there at the time.
Advice, prepare your snacks before entering the hotel and enjoy the hotel.
To get to the city center by subway (a station is not very far from the hotel) takes quite long (45 Minutes), because you have to change subways at least once or twice. On the other hand, there is a very nice restaurant area very close to the hotel, so that for a good dinner you do not need to go to the city center. Taxis are also quite cheap but also take some time especially when traffic is slow.
Subway is not near as you will have to walk about 1.5km.
There is restaurant at the Piece Gate park, but not much choices.
If you want to find some local Korean restaurant you will need to walk across around 2-3km. You can find pretty good restaurant behind the streets behind the Church around that area. They call it the Eating Streets.
Lotte World Mall is 3-4km away, walkable in the when the time i went was early March around 11-18 degrees C.
I would not recommend to stay in this hotel if you come to Seoul for traveling or shopping.
After we all checked in, three of my boys that shared a room called me to say that their room was very dirty, the bedsheets were dusty and corners of the ceiling had spiderwebs in them. I went to see this for myself and they were right. whats worst is that the spider-webbed corners were only inches from the top bunk. How would anyone sleep in such conditions. The room was stuffy and smelled like old clothes being kept too long in the attic. I demanded they either clean the room once more or change the room immediately. Since we were there for a function, the other rooms were fully booked for that same function. So they cleaned the room instead.
The rest of my stay was as average as it gets.
The CEO of our school wanted eggs for breakfast one morning and they couldn't provide ala carte boiled eggs! So, she asked if she could take the boiled eggs from the buffet. They nodded. When the bill came, she was charged for one person's access to the entire buffet. They didn't have consideration for her concerns on food constraints as she only takes halal food.
This seems to be an old hotel. If it weren't for the event being held there, I doubt anyone would make this hotel their first choice.
1. The room rate only covers the room and everything else will be charged, including wifi, breakfast, fitness room, etc. So, adding all these to the room charge when you consider the price.
2. The hotel sits in the olympic park, which means nice view and poor living facility. The hotel has one or two restaurant and one tiny shop. The coffee shop opens till 10PM. The shop only opens from 10AM to 8PM and I cannot find any vending machine in the hotel. When you finish a late meeting in the evening, there is nothing to eat in the hotel. You have to walk 10 to 15 minutes to find food.
3. The wifi is poor. I even have difficulty to set up a teleconference during the day in the room.
4. Although I ask for non-smoking room, the room smells poor.
5. I think the hotel better suits for family or visitors in a budget. The room has a large and empty refrigerator. I think the hotel encourages one to bring their own food.
"I thought that the breakfast was good, but I think it is best to get there early as a lot of the food is sat in heat trays. "Read full review
"Free wifi in the lobby so you'll see lots of people hanging out there like its a living room."Read full review
