I stayed here for Seoul tour with friends and was really impressed on the locatuon and all the amenties they have. It's near Gyeongbokgung Palace, so it was easy for me to get there without hassle. Also, I am very picky on restroom where I stay and this place has very modernized and convenient ones and host keeps the restrooms very nice and clean (4 restrooms). I strongly recommend this place for everyone~

Thank you for your review and we are glad you enjoyed the night! Yes, the quality and the number of bathrooms are also my top consideration when I travel too. So I designed it in a way people like it and also allocated 4 separate ones so there is no rush for any case! ;-) It was great having a deep talk and grab beers together. You are always welcome back to us! I mean, please come back! Love, KJ

This is my second time here. Because the reception isn't 24/7 you really get the feel that you are at your own home. Everything is laid out perfectly so whatever your basic needs is there. This is how Korean families used to live before. Amazing experience. Want a traditional Korean trip? This will be the best place to complete your experience! Will I go back? Always. Because where I stay should always be something that completes my travelling experience.

Our stay at the Sopoong hanok was a wonderful experience for our family of four. We have two small children and this first visit to Korea made a lasting impression on them. KJ's accommodation, while small compared to a hotel, provided a very traditional experience with all the modern amenities that you would need. Each morning we woke up to the natural sunlight shining into the courtyard and the kids enjoyed KJ's complimentary cereal for breakfast. When we checked in, KJ made some traditional Korean tea for us which was delightful after a 7 hour flight. This is also in a fantastic location as it's just 5 minutes walk to the Gyeongbokgung palace and 10 mins walk to a food street filled with diverse restaurants. I would highly recommend this place if you want a unique experience in Seoul.

I love this friendly and funny host! He is not only a host but a friend who guide me sincerely! Thanks to him, I could make many friends and have good memories of Seoul. And the house is a traditional Korean house, which is so beautiful, clean and easy to use. And the town of this house is such a middle of Seoul. You can go anywhere easily. If You want to feel Korea well, I recommand here truely!

We stayed in early June 2017, and I almost feel sorry for people who chose to stay in hotels! The guesthouse is a traditional Korean hanok. As such, it's laid out with a central garden and with all of the guestrooms and the communal kitchen facing out toward the garden. The guestrooms are all comfortable, and the attached kitchen/communal space is very nice to have. We stayed in the four person suite with two people, and it was very spacious. KJ, our host, was great, too. He picked us up from the bus stop, and he served us tea for the first few hours of trip while giving us feedback and tips about the places we planned to go. He was available if we needed anything, but fortunately we were all good. The location can't be beat. You're one block from Geyongbokgung (the palace) and about three or four blocks from Gyeongbokgung-Seoul Government Complex (the subway station). There are tons of cafes and restaurants around the area, and you're also 5-10 minutes from the Hanok village, though I don't see why you'd have to go there since you're staying in one! Great place, would stay again.
