We visited on a Saturday evening around 5:30pm before the crowd. We ordered 4 portions with one female adult and two children, hoping to try out different dishes and thinking we would take out if we had food left over. When we asked for a take away box the staff told us that they don’t allow take outs. As we did not know this in advance and the meals were $30+, we asked for foil or napkins we could just wrap the leftovers ourselves. Later, the staff noted that as there is some liquid in the to-go food, that they need to borrow containers from another Conrad restaurant. It was already apparent that this outlet does not offer take away services. After about 15 minutes, the Manager came back with the package but as he delivered it to us, it was clear that he was super annoyed and angry, talking down at us in an authoritative manner, as if trying to teach us a lesson. It is common for families with children to ask for take-away boxes, especially when a party of three (with two kids) order 4 portions. In other restaurants, the waitress would routinely mention that there is no take away if a party orders a large portion. We never asked for fancy takeaway boxes as we live very close and in fact come to the Conrad at least 2-3 times a week to visit the restaurants. It seems that they don’t care to put up any signs or to inform patrons that there is no take away and it also seemed like children are not welcomed, as the Manager glared at the kids as if take aways were made at their request. All in all — I am not sure that asking for a take away box or foil is such a disrespectful act that warrants the Manager taking us to a corner and scowling at us that ‘they cannot inform each patron who walks in the door that there is no take away’. This statement may be true, but most are business people or young adults on dates that may not want to take away to start with. Customers with children certainly have different needs as small children just cannot eat a large portion at a time and feel hungry quickly. Such a bad experience being talked down at by the manager for something we did not ask for (getting formal take away boxes from another Conrad venue) in such an authoritative manner.

Dear familytraveler4to6, In regards of your experience we are truly sorry and we will make sure to create the right verbiage and work to improve the attitude of our team members when dealing with this requests. The take away boxes and the take away policies are simply different in every Restaurant, please note the sticker we require to add in any take away food from our 10G Restaurant. I also need to kindly aware you that we are not to mention, as all Restaurant standards, the take out policy. The above doesn’t justifies the attitude of our team member which will be investigated and corrected to continuously deliver a truly satisfying Conrad experience. Sincerely yours, Marco DiPasquale Director of Food and Beverage

I almost forgotten to write a review for this hotel. The location is great as it’s connected to a train station which is linked via IFC mall. The front desk team were very courteous as they will acknowledge me from far when the check in queue was long. Room was not ready upon check in but the team texted me when it was ready. Concierge was very helpful. They handled our queries patiently and recommended few places to go in the city as I didn’t actually studied on the location. Breakfast was great and service was excellent! Some of my friend said the hotel is far from the tourist area. For me, distance is not an issue because it’s very convenient by train. Most importantly is the service from the team! Thank you so much for your great hospitality!

We stayed as a family for 3 nights at the Conrad Seoul during mid-October 2019 for our first trip to Korea, pass through Jeju and Busan, before arriving in Seoul. This was our final hotel stay before departure and it turned out to be the best! Firstly, HUGE thanks to Dayane (Director of Rooms) for her perfect arrangements for our stay and facilitating the welcome amenities/family photos really made our special occasion very memorable. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted at the front desk by Andy (FO Assist. Manger) and checked in efficiently via the elite member line. Andy kindly escorted us to our room and introduced us to all the features of the hotel. We stayed in a specious Grand King Corner Suite, overlooking the Han River and the room was stunning. It was spotless clean, perfectly laid out and very comfortable. As a Hilton Diamond member, we had access to the Executive Lounge, which was large and spacious with different views of the City skyline. Bella at the Lounge was very friendly, providing maps and directions of different city attractions, and offering any assistance that we needed. We did our own research instead taking tours in Seoul and therefore, I had to visit Concierge several times during my stay for guidance. HaeRi at Concierge was delightful in providing advice to me, on multiple occasions, especially on the best ways to get to Nami Island and see the spectacular autumn foliage. She was also quick and helpful in hailing taxis for us, or guiding us to the subway station in the IFC next door, which was connected with Conrad Seoul. The hotel also has a nice swimming pool and gym that contains a broader range of modern equipment than most other hotels. Eight months have passed and many changes have happened since our stay, but I can still clearly recall the memorable stay and people that I had the pleasure of interacting with last year. The only downside of our stay is that we unfortunately could not stay for longer! We have stayed in almost all the Conrad hotels in Asia Pacific, including Maldives, and Conrad Seoul honestly ranks in our top pick basket. All Conrad hotels are beautiful, but what makes the difference is really the quality staff and the superior attentive services that they deliver for guests. I'm sure I will be coming back to Seoul in the future, either for work or personal reasons, and undoubtedly staying again at the Conrad Seoul. Sijia

I stayed at the Conrad Hilton Seoul on a free night certificate from my credit card. We saw Jacklyn (sp?) at the front desk a few times during our stay, and she was always super-helpful and efficient. As Diamond, I had been hoping for a suite upgrade but was instead given a simple premium room upgrade to the 27th floor overlooking the river. Room was well-appointed and comfortable, and the bathroom was nice enough, but there was only one desk chair in the sitting area. The hotel offers Diamonds access to the executive lounge, even on free night certs.  My wife and I also received free breakfast at the 2nd floor buffet restaurant. (The Le Meridien in Gangnam offers Gold members a free night in a suite, but without breakfast. Hilton with Diamond offers free breakfast. So, in my opinion, Le Meridien beats out the Conrad Hilton on free night certs, but barely.) The Conrad Hilton would be able to make up for the slight shortcoming with a warm breakfast but unfortunately, the breakfast is cold. All the hot foods are cold. If there is any easy straightforward improvement that can be made, it's to make the hot foods much warmer. The mall downstairs is decent, but not outstanding. It has just enough to keep one busy for a 1/2 day. Overall, of course, this was a free night cert, so I'll bump a 4.5 star stay to 5 stars.

First and foremost, from the front door to the counter, there was no one greeting, no one opening the door, and no one even tried to care that I am carrying my luggage which I have expected since it was named 5-star hotel and is one of the highest brands around the world. Then, when walking up to the counter, I encountered Conrad Staff with a long face, frowning. I am not sure whether she had a bad day or just that they are unfriendly, I felt super uncomfortable with it. All the way till getting my room key, I got the kind of arrogant feeling "Conrad is a high-class hotel and you should feel the honor to be given the chance to stay here". I thought I was the only unlucky guy who got this kind of feeling, but looking up to the reviews in the past, I found out that lots of people have already written similar experiences. Although the hotel has replied the reviews sincerely, it probably was just a formal already-written answer because none of the bad services was revised. The worst part was when the staff escort us to the table during breakfast. Very grumpy and very unfriendly, as if escorting us to the table was something very annoying. At the moment, I really wanted to burst out. Room condition was not bad but every service in the hotel is just a mess.
