Pretty sure these days visiting Korea is no longer that easy as before due to covid 19 and 14 days quarantine. BUT! DH NAISSANCE provides great hospitality while I was quarantine there. The room is clean and all you need for 14 days are all well prepared in the room. Basically just bring your luggage in and yup, happy quarantine. They also provide three meals each day and I like that all! especially while you need some fun at night “by yourself”, they have plenty beverage/meal choices for room service, no matter what kind of alcohol you need, the front desk will get that for you. Speaking of the front desk, most travellers might worry about language problem, whether you can communicate with staff without any problems. Here in DH NAISSANCE, you can find people who speak fluent English, Chinese...etc. so not good in Korean, it’s okay, just dial “0” reach to the front desk, they all very helpful!!!!! Especially a front desk staff named Roxanne! She great person and professional! Well, I enjoyed my quarantine there. And I’m pretty sure for my next visit to Korea, DH NAISSANCE will be my no.1 choice.…
I am in this assigned hotel by Seoul city for 14day isolation which is required for anybody arriving from overseas. I was pleasantly surprised by their facilities and services and 3 meals. General Manager Kim, also owner made a great improvement this cozy hotel. Room(806) is fresh, large, convenient and particularly their showers are the best for any standard! Three meals per day is yummy, well balanced and well presented! Staffs are ready to serve for guests anytime! Only complaint I have is location which is a little hard to find for foreigners but I highly recommend this facility for Kangbuk those who is looking for budget oriented but good service hotel in north Seoul. I stayed at DH Naissance with my mother in September 2019 and had a really lovely time there. The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Charlie, Suyan and Roxanne - they helped us with our itinerary daily, giving recommendations and helpful local advice, including explaining the entire public transport system and how to best utilise it. We initially booked two different style rooms for our stay due our budget and availabilities but upon arrival, we were given an upgrade to the larger room for both nights at nil additional cost, which we were very grateful for. Additionally, the buffet breakfast is definitely worth a mention - great variety of food to choose from, and a highlight of every morning! Thank you DH Naissance for a memorable stay in Seoul! We’ll be back next time.…
It was very noisy in the early hours on the eighth floor on all 4 nights of our stay. Didn't get the free city tour. Breakfast was more than adequate consisting of a choice of two cereals, toast and jams, tea, coffee and a variety of hot foods catering for the Asian pallet. Room was clean but the spa bath wasn't big enough to enjoy. Staff on the front desk were very helpful and the location was great.
This has been the most special experience of my trip, all thanks to Charlie. The hotel itself is good - it’s in a fantastic location (on a map it looks a long way from the city but the subway is amazing - more on that later). It’s in a bustling market/bar/restaurant area and very close and easy to get to some of Seoul’s best attractions. My room was clean and quiet and comfortable with everything replenished daily. As everyone says, the welcome pizza is yummy (order any day of your stay before 12pm for that evening) and the simple free breakfast is all you need (fried rice, sausages, toast, juice, cereal). All staff were friendly and helpful, I didn’t meet the GM. But what made this experience so good was Charlie, the assistant GM. Charlie takes care of most things in the hotel and does everything he can to make your stay comfortable. He took me to a secret location for a beautiful view over the city, and introduced me to citron tea at the river. He is a man of many talents, and is extremely interesting to talk to. Charlie, I had so much fun with you, thank you for everything! You are a rockstar. The hotel is lucky to have you! A few pointers on getting around. The easiest way to get here from the airport is to take the 6011 bus. It’s easy to see where to buy tickets ($10,000 won) and where to line up. It took about 1.5 hours, and the bus announces in English each stop, so it’s easy to know where to get off - the Sungshin Women’s University. It’s only a two minute walk from there. Download the app ‘Subway Korea’, as google doesn’t work well in South Korea due to not wanting to make things too transparent for North Korea. The app is great and works without wifi. It makes it simple to get around, and the train lines/stations are super easy to understand (a welcome relief after Japan!). To go back to the airport, take the subway (simple transfer at Seoul Station) right to the terminal (about $3,500 won). Thank you again for a wonderful time :)…
