My family stayed at the Hotel for a week. In all of our travels we never met such a caring and wonderful staff. The hotel is in the middle of a busy neighborhood of restaurants. It was also close to the subway. The manager, Min, actually cooked us a great pizza and we’re from NY. Above all, we became friends with Charlie, the assistant manager. Charlie had my wife’s favorite shoes fixed when they broke. He took us to the bank to exchange currency and also took us on a great tour of the city. We were very sad to leave and went on to stay in 4 other hotels during our stay, but none matched the quality and level of care that The DH Naissance provided. Thanks so much and we will stay in touch.

From the moment you step into the hotel GM Mindrum and his dedicated team is out to make your stay a great one. Check in was seamless and unlike most other hotels which enforce strict check in timing after 2pm, the room was already available so they allowed me to check in early, with a free upgrade! My room was huge with a jacuzzi in the room! The last time I had a jacuzzi or a pool in a hotel or resort room I paid about 8 times the price of this room... Every guest gets a welcome pizza prepared personally by the GM. It was yummy and a very nice touch indeed. Who has ever heard of a hotel that gives every guest a free slice of welcome pizza? Not only that, the hotel provides a free driving tour of Seoul subject to availability. The GM brought me to a few off the tourist trail locations in seoul and it was a very nice experience! As an ex hotelier I was pleasantly surprised at the level of hospitality and personal touches provided by the hotel staff for a budget-priced hotel. To me they are the best hotel in Seoul and I will return with my family!

I stayed here with my family, it is a great hotel for its price! We are from New York, and we were surprised how good the pizza was (it was a great meal for my dad when he couldn’t eat anymore Korean food). The staff is so helpful and friendly, especially Charlie. He is one of the kindest people I have ever met. He went above and beyond with every little detail, for example my mom broke her shoe and he brought it to the shoe shop and refused to let her pay for it. He is an extremely talented and educated musician - he played a few songs that he wrote for us when we were driving to the tour. He is an all around amazing person and we all miss him, we all shed a tear when we said goodbye. He has become a cherished friend.

We spent five days here. What I like about the hotel is its location, courteous staff and how everything works: lights, TV, toilet, wifi, etc. It's a given that all those things should work, but when one of them doesn't, it can ruin your stay - not so here. I love this place because when I travel abroad I don't want to feel like a tourist. I don't necessarily want to do a bus tour with tons of people - I especially don't want to see anyone from my country. I'm here to get away from everything. Coincidentally, the tour that the hotel does offer is rather special because it's just a small group of people and the hotel's GM. It's very personalized. The location of this hotel is what attracted me to it. It's in the middle of a neighborhood that it's not known nor designed for tourists. So when I come out at 6am and just walk around I see people sobering up from the night before, cleaning out their businesses to get the day started and just going about their usual business. You are fully immersed in the culture, and that's what visiting a foreign country is what appeals to me. Even the breakfast is very localized - it isn't your standard fare of hash browns, eggs and coffee. It's got a local flavour and I appreciate it for it. If you did want to go to downtown Seoul and see the sights, public transportation is a few mins away. There is a bit of a learning curve in using one of the machines at the metro, but you can also opt to buy the metro cards in a convenience store, which are littered all over the place. I massively enjoyed my time here. I made friends with the local 7-11 owner up the block from the hotel - give him a visit if you're here! I was able to meet some of his friends as well and sat with them and converse about life in Korea. It was truly a memorable experience. Can't wait to comeback to Korea someday and stay at this location again and explore more of the country.
