We stayed for three nights in a Deluxe Double room. Check-in was super fast (we arrived around 8:45pm) and the room was more spacious than we expected. Bed was comfortable although the sheets were not as soft as in other hotels. Bathroom was a good size with separate shower and soaking tub. The sink area was on the lower side (I’m about 5’4” and it felt short to me). Due to their environmental initiatives minimal amenities were provided (liquid hand soap, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, comb, shower cap, and vanity kit). Towels were on the thin side but did their job. Even though we had two adults and a child, we were initially only provided two sets of towels. On our second day, housekeeping took away the face towels for some reason but they came back the next day. Not sure why the inconsistency. For us, the main draw was the location. The hotel is connected in the basement level (“hotel arcade”) to a Lotteria, the Lotte Department store (food hall - yum!) and the Eulji-ro subway station. There are bus stops within a 5-7 minute walk so transportation by bus or subway is convenient. The shops and street vendors in Myeongdong are also a 5-7 minute walk away. The staff seems very willing to help and service oriented. We didn’t book breakfast in advance but was told upon check-in that we could get a discount on the buffet breakfast if we let the front desk know a day in advance. We ate at the buffet on our check out morning and felt that it had a pretty good assortment of items - both western and Asian. The KAL bus stops in front of the hotel so getting to/from the airport is convenient too. When departing, you can buy tickets in advance from the front desk or from the bus driver. We paid in cash but they also accept payment via T-Money card. I’m assuming they accept credit cards too but I’m not 100% on that. Tip: If you purchase a KAL ticket at the airport to go to the hotel, be sure to double check that it’s for the right location. The buses for the Lotte Hotel Seoul (this hotel) and the Lotte City Hotel are different. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk between the two. Overall, we’d definitely consider staying at the Lotte Hotel Seoul again.…
Stayed there for business and had a great time. They helped my getting my lost luggage and even apologized that it got lost even though they had nothing to do with it. Rooms are very spacious. Bathroom offers shower and bath tube and house keeping keeps an eye on very little detail. Location is great as it is connected to Lotte Mall and close to all tourist attractions. Had the chance to spend one more day to explore Seoul and Lotte Hotel is just the perfect place to go everywhere by foot.
Big rooms with nice comfy quilt, pillow and bed. It is so comfortable. At strategic location with subway and warm welcome upon check in. Downside of my room is the shower head were broken and water leaking out to the floor. Needed housekeeping to clean and handyman to change before can rest on the bed. Took almost an hour to have it all done. However, overall is good stay with sumptuous breakfast buffet. Definitely will stay again when back to Seoul
I chose Lotte Hotel, Seoul for the following reasons and I was not disappointed at all: 1) Convenient location - It is connected to the underground subway station which you may also use to cross to touristy Myeongdong shopping street also known for its delicious street food. It is in the same building as the duty free Lotte mall. 2) Excellent servicing - Front Desk, Concierge, Bell Boys, Room service were all extremely helpful and provided immediate assistance when needed. Check in and check out was a breeze. Housekeeping may just need a bit of improvement especially with regards to the beddings which were not perfectly placed. 3) Food - Onsite room service food were good but pricey. 4) Reservations - Guaranteed connecting rooms were provided. Had prompt responses via emails prior to stay. 5) Food Court - The basement has a food court which serves a lot of delicious options.…
If you are only looking at shopping at close proximity and good breakfast buffet spread and pay a premium for location, you may want to consider Lotte Hotel Seoul. We travelled as a family of 7 and booked 4 rooms for 6 nights. The rooms are rather old and 1 design feature that strike us as odd is the location of the bathroom curtain outside of the bathroom itself. We find it real funny, but a little inconvenient as 1 of the rooms are shared by teenage grandson and conservative Asian grandma. It is still a joke till today. Yes, granted that rooms are usually shared by close couples and the presence of curtain blink for a see-through bathroom is not important. But, the curtain is there for a purpose right? Because of the inconvenience, we upgraded their room to executive floor for a proper bathroom. The check in and communication process with the reception is not too ideal and smooth as the reception staff is not too fluent in English. Just a suggestion. We do appreciate reception staff to be able to understand and interpret so as not to get too frustrated at check in guest. Because of this experience, it did prompt us to re-consider Global Chain Hotel for our next Seoul trip though.…
We stayed in the executive tower for five days in January 2023. The service was excellent. The room was bigger than as shown in the pictures. We also loved that the hotel is connected to the Lotte Department store, which was very convenient to avoid the cold.
It’s a short walk to the bustling shopping district of Myeongdong and is connected to a mall, and these must be 2 of the good reasons why someone would choose this hotel in the first place. Notably, its customer service is top-notch from checking in to checking out – all the fine details were considered.
Good hotel with good kind honest where we find very helpful and kind housekeeping too with deep hearts and helping kind alwaus and it’s beyond expecting. Where Lotte provide Defence for each guests and security very much to the best vip’s and it’s was Werl having stayed at Lotte
DEPOSIT REFUND IS A HEADACHE. Their bank has not refunded me my Krw2,000,000 deposit and it’s already been 12 days since I checked out. I emailed them a couple of times already and they have not resolved it. My card provider is now filing a dispute. And because of this, this hotel gets a 1 star from me. I am not coming back to this hotel.
