We have no complaint against the hotel or the room based on its three stars status but the female and male staff at the reception during our May 2016 3 nights stay were very unfriendly when we tried to approach them for direction or to...More
i love their heated toilet seat in their bathrooms. clean, great service and accomodating staff. as we stayed, six nights, we were only given once a small bar of soap. we had to buy shampoo and additional soap at the 7-11 located within the hotel...More
I made a last minute booking at Insadong Crown Hotel due to an early morning meeting I had the next morning. I did not have much time to research but found the location perfect for my purpose, and thus booked the hotel. The hotel is...More
Location is good but the interior including the furniture is a bit old and antique. Rooms are small and a bit dark, probably due to the lighting. The lift is quite small and when there are people with bags & luggage would be difficult.
The location is ok but the staff and service were horrible. They didn't understand a word in english and didn't try to help. They overpriced the room because they didn't want backpackers in the hotel and they didn't even want to show us the room...More

If Gwanghwamun is the unofficial living room of Seoul, Jongno is the main hallway connecting some of Seoul’s most important historic sites and neighborhoods. Being one of Seoul’s oldest neighborhoods, the area is rich with history and culture in its palaces, shrines, and temples. Stand in the center of Gwanghwamun Square with Gyeongbokgung Palace and Mt. Bugak in front of you, King Sejong the Great statue behind you, and
modern office buildings encircling you—it’s one of the best ways to experience both past and present Seoul in one spot. The main street of Jongno is mostly dotted with restaurants and cafes, but explore deeper within its intricate alleys to pass decades-old restaurants, mom-and-pop shops, and pojangmachas (tents that open at night for quick bites and drinks) and life seems to run just as it did a decade or two ago. Don’t forget to stop at Gwangjang Market, Korea’s oldest traditional market, where it’s just as fun to explore as it is to eat the affordable market dishes that locals have been enjoying since the market first opened in 1905. For a break from urban life, walk along the restored Cheonggyecheon Stream that runs parallel to Jongno for a moment of natural refuge in metropolitan Seoul.

since we arrived quite late, the only available airport express was the multiple stop which is actually cheaper than the express one. take the airport express to gongdeok station and transfer to line 5 (purple line) going to sangil-dong and get off at jong no sam (3) station. take exit 4, which has an escalator. proceed to samil-daero pedestrian alley right where a standard charter bank is located. walk right up the alley and on the first corner, turn right. the hotel would be about forty meters away. very visible as a 7-11 store is just right in front of it.
