The InterContinental Grand Seoul Parnas, an IHG hotel, garners accolades for its exceptional service, with staff members who are often described as friendly and professional, despite a few mentions of service hiccups. Guests rave about the hotel's clean and spacious rooms, luxuriously appointed with an array of amenities. The atmosphere earns high marks for style and comfort, complemented by live music and festive decor.
While the luxurious amenities, including the club lounge and breakfast buffet, are popular, opinions on value are mixed due to some unexpected fees. Its central location is a hit for convenience, although a handful find it removed from tourist hotspots.

Hotel's Favorite
We had a wonderful experience at this hotel with my family of five and extended family and friends. We stayed here for 7 nights, then traveled to Busan and back to Seoul but because I had booked the last part of the trip later, the price was too high. Therefore the night we flew back to the US, we booked at the Intercontinental on the other side of Coex mall for one night. What a huge difference in experience regarding service and rooms! STAY here if you can!
Our request to get adjoining rooms with our adult kids were honored. Although the price is high, I had booked months ahead and was able to get a decent price with breakfast included through travelocity. Must book through IHG to get points though.
Pros:
Almost all the staff understood English which was huge plus compared to regular IHG and the other place we stayed in Busan.
Breakfast was massive-Korean/American style- my adult kids loved it!
Every Staff that we encountered were so friendly and accommodating.
Rooms were clean. Bed was very comfortable ( we booked king and 2 double beds)
Housekeeping was excellent and always consistent- refilled everything we used in our rooms.
Cons:
Nothing except I wished it was closer to the tourist attraction but there is a subway close by so we used it to go to Myeong-dong.
My husband has traveled many places for business but I have not and he agreed with me, the experience we had at this hotel was excellent. Our friends who stayed here loved it, too and he is a pilot from United and flies all the time. We highly recommend this hotel if you are in Seoul.

Excellent service, wonderful trip overall. There were a number of bells and whistles associated with having status (thank you holiday inn express corporate travel), and I've always enjoyed the Intercontinental brand.
This location really stood out among all of the ones in all of the countries by the amenities, welcome gifts, and attentive service at the desired frequencies. They literally know what I want from them before I know I want it!
Centrally located and connected to the mall as well as other wonderful establishments outside of the mall. Nice experience to follow after being stuck in korea's quarantine hotel for 14 days.
Hotel breakfast buffet was great, and selection ample. You are required to wear food safety gloves and mask at all times except for when you are at your table eating. Tables spaced out and felt fine.
They will require your negative covid-test results and government authorization certificate before you are able to complete the check-in process, and that was easy enough given I received mine right before checking in.

What a wonderful hotel! Everyone was so nice and helpful! The accommodations were beautiful and comfortable. The location of the hotel was great- close to a subway stop. The hotel itself is located over the Parnas mall which connects to the COEX mall. It was nice being able to go to the COEX mall without having to go outside as we were visiting Korea at the coldest time of the year. The hotel was decorated beautifully for the winter holiday season. There was
so much attention to detail- different chargers for your electronics next to the bed and also upon check-in, the front desk personnel presented us with a cake for my daughter who they noticed had a birthday just a few days before. That itself made my daughter’s day! I hope to come back and stay at this hotel the next time I’m in Korea.

We stayed at the Intercontinental Seoul Parnas for a large legal conference in September. As always we had a club room which is something I always encourage when staying at an Intercontinental as it is good value. We had a large suite. However something to note the ceilings are low in this hotel and the rooms are a little dark. This it seems is a “thing” in Korea however other hotels are probably a little “lighter” in appearance. The club lounge was in good form and had a great variety of food for breakfast and late afternoon. Service in the lounge was great. Appart from the dark heavy decor the hotel made a huge faux-Paux by trying to charge over 200$USD for printing approximately 75 colour pages. I told them that this was insanity and I would not pay it. We agreed on something close to 50$. I am still annoyed by the obvious cash grab. Considering we had 7 rooms booked I thought this was excessive. I cannot say I would stay here again if I were going back to Seoul but for the purposes of the conference it was a good location and the service for the most past was good. Room tip: stay on a higher floor as the street noise is very loud during rush hour.

Response from IHGService, Guest Relations Manager at InterContinental Grand Seoul Parnas, an IHG hotel
Responded Jan 24, 2020
Hello slefleur, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. We believe international travel should always be alluring and it seems that your recent stay left a little to be desired. I'm sorry to hear that the room assigned to you didn't match your expectations. I recognized your feedback about the unexpected charges for printing. I shared your review with our hotel management. We will ensure to used your comments as a reference to improve guest hotel experience. On a brighter note, I'm glad that you find our lounge in good form and enjoyed our great selections of breakfast and late afternoon meal. It's also good to know that you consider our location convenient! We appreciate the opportunity you've given us to host your conference. I hope you'll come to visit us again and show that your unsatisfactory part of your stay is an exception. Kind regards, Jomar M. Case Manager IHGService

We stayed for almost a week on a family visit. Staff were very accommodating and friendly, always near the vicinity to help when needed. Kitchen and dining room staff managed the large crowd very well with smiles and professionalism, especially during the busy weekend. Food and coffee were excellent and with lots from which to choose. Rooms were impeccably clean (no dusty area and even the remote controls were cleaned and put in a container) and the amenities including the in-room charing cables, very confortable beds, and Byredo/Jo Malone bath products felt like they really put a lot of consideration for the customers. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend!

+1
I typically stay at international hotels, and when I visit Korea, I usually stay on the Coex side. Over the past 10 years, this hotel has significantly improved since my first stay. It used to be quite old, but now it's beautifully decorated. One suggestion for improvement is to hang their shoe fitter outside rather than inside a drawer. During my recent visit, I was upgraded to a junior suite—lovely decor, clean, though not much of a view. The breakfast was fantastic, offering a diverse spread from local Korean to Western cuisine. I especially enjoyed the steamed dumplings and porridge. The hotel's location is convenient, close to a mall and the train, bF making it easy to access and purchase a variety of items for all age groups. However, the morning elevator situation was a bit challenging with probably one lift stopping on almost every floor, particularly inconvenient for higher floors. The concierge service was helpful in arranging taxis, although some tasks required us to handle them ourselves like waiting for our taxi . Overall, it's a great hotel to stay in!

I stayed at the IHC Parnas in Gangnam for 9 days and was completely satisfied with my stay there. The rooms are well appointed and impeccably clean. Check in was easy, and the person who checked me in gave me tips on when the breakfast room was most crowded. The shower, bathtub, and bidet toilet seat make for a luxurious bath experience. Rooms were quiet - I never heard my neighbors at all - and have centrally controlled lighting (with key card and then with bedside switches for lighting groups). The in-room Nespresso was great coffee, and the mini bar (including fridge and corkscrew) contained a nice variety of snacks and drinks. The breakfast buffet was truly outstanding; it includes lots of Korean specialties, prepared perfectly, as well as items for typical English, continental, or American breakfasts. Also, the concierge provided prompt and helpful service in finding tours, restaurants to accommodate our large group, and transportation.

I've stayed at many other 5 star hotels in my travels, but my experience Intercontinental Grand Seoul Parnas was without compare.
The positives: without a doubt, the highlight is the awesome, helpful, courteous, lovely staff who are very helpful despite what the ask may be. The central location next to shopping areas where you can find some over the top delicious food, specifically next door at Hyundai mall's basement level was a huge win and made it effortless for me to grab a snack in a very short amount of time. Finally, my room was perfectly cleaned every day by the top notch cleaning staff.
The negatives: I found the bed pillows to be way too big and thick for my taste, leaving me with a sore neck once or twice.

I stayed at the Intercontinental Seoul Paranas for 13 days in the 1bed club suite. I’ve visited this hotel quite a few times, but this stay was exceptionally FANTASTIC. The hotel is literally “Grand” from the moment you step in…very beautiful entrance (loved the holiday bow) and lobby lounge is festively decorated. the bell desk swiftly whisks away your luggage, and check in process at the club lounge was very efficient. I arrived very early (around 9am) and was granted early check in. My room had a beautiful view of the city. Hotel is very centrally located, connected to a department store and coex mall with many walkable shops and food options.
Special shout out to the club lounge staff, this is hands down best service, staff, ambiance, and food quality in all the intercontinental clubs I’ve visited around the world. The club lounge staff literally greet you by name (every time!) and they were so sweet to my grandmother traveling with me. The club lounge was impeccable - I highly recommend trying out the club lounge. We tried breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktail hour… all were great. I suggest you go either right at opening or after 8pm on Fri/sat to grab best view spots.
The rooms are updated, modern and very clean. Housekeeping was great at cleaning my room, it felt so great coming to a well made room every time.
Breakfast at grand kitchen is a nice option if you have the chance… there were a lot of options… but after almost 2 weeks, the menu did get repetitive.
Overall, this was a great stay. I highly recommend this hotel for business or leisure! I will definitely be coming back soon.

Our family stayed at the Seoul Parnas hotel from 5/29-6/3 and we will definitely be back in the future! From the moment we stepped out of our taxi until we checked out, we truly felt welcomed by all the hotel staff (valet, front desk concierge, cleaning crew) and they definitely made our stay comfortable. Majority of the staff spoke English so that was definitely a plus. Our room was impeccable and the hotel restaurants were delicious. This hotel is conveniently located next to the Hyundai Department store and has direct access to the COEX mall. Also, there are a lot of restaurants in walking distance which was a big perk.

I dont think there is club, but it seems like they have live bar at the lobby lounge. Of course no ice link as well. They have swimming pool. The most benefit to stay this hotel if you like shopping or if you have any occasion in the coex mall , it is really convenient due to the hotel is connect to the coex mall
If I were you, I'd take taxi. If no traffic, the tax costs less than 10,000KRW (according to Naver map, it's about 6KM, less than 10mins). Black/luxury taxi provides better service but is far less common and costs double. And a big IF her is the traffic condition -- the time and fare can easily go up (even double) in peak hours.
Subway is convenient especially if to avoid traffic hour -- take Budang line from Suseo, transfer at Seolleung to #2 line, to Samseong station; Grand IC is at exit #5. About 5~6 stops total; short ride but with connection.
Another alternative is bus -- many buses run from Suseo to Samseong, if you feel comfortable doing so, or simply adventurous.
if you have more than 1 luggage, arrive in the bad weather, or simply want to avoid walking or any potential mistake, take KAL 6704 -- it drops off/pick up right at the hotel front door; if you are flying with Korean Air, you can purchase the bus ticket (part of duty free) with some discount.
CALT 6103 is faster (not stop vs KAL's last stop is Grand IC) and more frequent (10~20min interval vs KAL 30min), but its stop is at the Samsung subway station exit #5, which is closet subway entry, but it still requires about 5 mins walk.
The hotel is about 1.5 hours away from Inchon airport.
