Not worth the money. They charge you for everything. Poor service as extra towles took an hour. Be prepared for hidden charges. Not a good place especially if you have children. Not very kid friendly.
I’ve stayed at Grand Hyatt Seoul many times - for business as well as for family travel, and for short weekend stays as well. It’s located on a quiet hill near hotspot Itaewon. It’s very well-kept and the staff is excellent. During wintertime there’s a nice ice rink, during summertime there’s a nice pool. Love this place.
I made a reservation at this hotel to propose to my girlfriend. But I looked for a glass of wine to set it up, but it wasn't in the room. So I called the room service and they told me that I had to pay the fee. It was the first time that I had to pay for a wine glass as I often visit hotels abroad on business trips. As a result, the atmosphere of my special event became strange. A hotel I don't want to use again.
Stayed at the GH for two months due to COVID-- again, it was like coming home. The whole hotel was one big happy family. I can't say enough about the grand club, they are just so exceptional. The whole stay was uneventful, which is what it is should be. I would like to recount all the episodes of how special this place is, but there are so many. What makes the GH are the staff-- even in the face of inconsistent govt guidance, COVID, etc., they always put the guests first. There was nothing that they would not say that they could not do-- and they did everything that was asked even though, I am sure, that they were also under a lot stress and heartache at how COVID affected their own personal well-being. Again, would never stay anywhere else. Hope that the GH global management reads this and recognize everyone here. There are just so many names (and apologies in advance for those that I forgot). Also, housekeeping really kept everything so clean and immaculate. Special attention to COVID, etc. Even tho there were so many people during the Xmas season, no cases when I was there. It just shows how much they paid attention to the protocols and cleaning. Thank you! Judy Marrianne Heidi Hailey Heather Liz Lisa Choi Young ran Kim Su Yeon Ha…
Our stay exceeded our expectations. Great value for the money (~$250/nt weekday), and excellent food for room service (Korean menu recommended). Tenkai, a yakidori izakaya, was cozy and had great food! We also liked the Terrace for breakfast buffet which was included with our stay, but it was not th best we’ve had. The best aspect of the hotel were it’s architecture, internal decoration at the lobby with huge windows overlooking the city, and our room! The room is small but with floor to ceiling windows, a korean style ambiance, and the best view we’ve seen from a Seoul hotel, it was an amazing experience. Make sure you ask for the Han River view at a higher floor (15 and up) even if it costs a bit more. You won’t be disappointed!
