The location is excellent. Within 5 minutes of subway station, 7 11 across the road, coffee tea and bean leaf around the back of apartments. We loved the area that the Orakai was in. Many restaurants and cute litte Korean stores within walking distance. The rooms were spacious and even though we didn't cook , it was great to have full size fridge, microwave etc The desk staff were friendly, efficient and obliging; although we required minimal from them during our stay. We did however receive a later checkout when we asked due to our flight times so this was much appreciated as we were not charged for it. House keeping were spot on and bathroom supplies were always restocked etc We did pay for breakfast for the 2 weeks we stayed and used it perhaps half of the mornings of our stay as like other reviews have stated, it is satisfactory but we didnt want scrambled eggs every morning. There was toast and cereal available with yoghurt as well as apples and bananas. If you were only staying for a few days its worth including for convenience. We used the pool twice but it was closed on many occasions due to Orakai not being able to staff a lifeguard ( i am assuming from what was written) If we return to Seoul next year ( our daughter is working there) I would rebook the Orakai for its convenience and home away from home comfort…
I am ataying in a suite. The room is on average but good enough to stay there. The service is very limited. They promise to have a continental brekfast where the food variety is very limited. Everyday the same food bread, scrumbled eggs, 1 dish which changes every day. Peanut butter, 1 jam, 1 green salad, cornflakes, apples and banana which are not fresh. 1 juice no other choices. The room service is limited to if you call the frontdesk your call might be accepted or somebody will drop the call. The aircon is not working also if promised the turn ot on since it is centralized no remote in your room the 🌡 goes up although all windows are closed. Just empty promises with no changes or benefits for the customers. I would not recommend anybody to visit this hotel if you want a very limited service you might go for it This is the best breakfast which they offer If you want eggs cooked differently you need to pay 15000 kwon Sunny side up, boiled eggs etc.…
Nice hotel. Suites have nice designs, all amenities ( dishwasher, washer), full size kitchen, big refrigerator. So you feel like at home. Suites on the higher floors have great views. Room cleaning is always of a good quality. Locations is perfect. Staff at the reception is always nice and polite.
We stayed here for eight nights for a family trip. The suite was very clean, well maintained, and very comfortable. The housekeeping staff is excellent. We stayed in a two-bedroom: the master bedroom had a king bed and the other was a double. Having a washer/dryer, a kitchen, and a little office nook made our stay convenient. Location is awesome. We loved being in walking distance to lots of shops, restaurants, street food, and subway stations. We ended up getting the breakfast option for the convenience but there are grocery stores and lots of bakeries nearby. The fitness center is well-equipped and clean. We will definitely stay here again!
My family and I stayed at Orakai in Dec for about 2 weeks. Check in was easy and the staff could speak English, which was a plus point as we do not speak Korean. It's a stone's throw from Jongno-3 Station, which was extremely convenient for us to go to Itaewon for halal food and Myeongdong for shopping. We saw a halal eating place at Isadong but did not try it. We booked a 3-bedroom apartment, where one room has a double bed and the other 2 rooms had single bed each. 2 bathrooms & 2 televisions too. One of the rooms had no window though. The kitchen is fully-equipped with rice cooker, toaster, electric kettle and stove. Plates and bowls, cups and saucers, frying pan and pots were available for me to cook. Knives, cutting board, peeler, etc were available too. 2-door refrigerator and a washing machine+dryer where I can wash our sweaters safely and dry them just above the washing machine. The apartment had an extendable rods for me to dry the sweaters. They dried within the day. They didn't provide laundry detergent though. They did provide liquid detergent to wash dishes. One thing strange though was that we were not able to adjust the temperature of the room and being winter, it could be a bit cold at times. The beds were comfy but the pillows were so thin that I thought my head was sinking or something! and they gave only 2 for the double bed. Best for you to ask for more pillows. I would like to commend the room service. Each day, he/she would do something cut to the my daughters' plush toys on the bed. For eg, on one occasion, the service person put a toy each on our 3 neck pillows resembling as if they were on a boat ... :) My 2 girls looked forward to seeing what was in store for them every time we came back to the apartment. I thought it was a nice gesture. Keep that up! Overall, it was a lovely apartment with tons of storage cupboards and right in Insadong. It was huge for the 4 of us. The Dynamic Maze & Alive Museum were just walking distance. I would recommend it to all. Will we be back here if we go to Seoul again? Definitely.…
Orakai Suites are the best place to stay in town. Clean, modern rooms, friendly staff, indoor pool, gym, all the amenities necessary. The hotel is conveniently located steps away from the bustling Insa-dong street, but also only a few short minutes to the new hip area of Ikson-dong. It is also close to three subway lines, and walking distance (albeit a little longer) from Kwanghwamun. I can't recommend this place enough!
We have stayed here a few times in the past. It is excellent for a long term stay or if you require more space. We had a 2 bedroom for 3 people. Close to shops and 3 metro stations. Pool and gym are good and included in the tariff. Breakfast is basic but adequate with scrambled and boiled eggs. 3 cereals and some apples and juices and breads. (Nothing fancy like smoked salmon or pastries etc though they did have bagels and croissants). We found the beds comfortable. Big TV in the living room. A small store across the road. I noticed lots of food deliveries from local restuarants in the evenings. Restuarants are many in the area.
We stayed at the Orakai Insadong Suites for a few days and went with the 2 bedroom suite (for 3 people). The suite is very spacious, clean, and also has a washer/dryer and kitchen if you require. It is located close to the metro station (Jongno-3ga) which is about a 5-10 minute walk away. The suite we stayed in had a fantastic view of Seoul, we could see Namsan tower as well as the Lotte Tower from the master bedroom. Lots of restaurants and bars a short walk away near Jonggak station, or the more unique looking cafes inside hanok buildings just north of Jongno-3ga station on the purple line. Walking to Myeongdong is possible, but takes about 20 minutes. Orakai Insadong Suites is also close to Gyeongbokgung palace and Bukchon Hanok Village. Overall, a great place to stay if you require more space or are travelling with family.…
The hotel is in good location but service has dropped from the good service that was provided as a fraser suites. Beware the breakfast policy, you have to pay for ALL breakfasts as you check in, if you stay more than 1 day and try to pay for breakfast at the check in desk, they charge you 16,500 KRW. The sign and the staff are very misleading about this policy
This was our fourth stay at the Fraser/Orakai Insadong Suites and it was the most pleasant experience of the four. Everyone was nice and helpful and provided the extras that we asked for (voltage converter and a fan). The room was nice and clean and had all the amenities (full kitchen, washer/dryer) and closets to store our luggage and clothes. A nice touch was the bidet toilet seat which was much appreciated. All except for the one thing that my wife had on our first stay there- a mirror on the wall behind the desk so that she could do her makeup and hair sitting down.
