2nd visit to this hotel. As comparing to the first , services this time round is way below expectations. Staff seems to be in a low mood when they are talking to you, no smiles at all except for some individuals from housekeeping and doorman. I guess it's probably that the hotel is closing in January that affects their mood.... More

Always quiet at the Ritz. And I stay here away from the crowd near the convention center. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms are moderately elegant. If you are not in Seoul for shopping and business, stay at the Ritz.

Outstanding staffs. Especially the ladies and gentlemen at Front desk are guest oriented. Excellent location in the middle of Gangnam. Dated facilities in fact, but excited to wait the renovation held in 2017.

The Hotel is easily accessible via the Subway. It has many F&B selections in the surrounding area and great place to eat. The hotel itself offers good breakfast and we had dinner in the hotel too during the conference. Staff were offering good service too.

I have visited almost every 5-star hotels in Seoul, and I can strongly say that this hotel is the best hotel in Seoul. Exterior of the hotel was little bit outdated, but conditions of the lobby and the rooms were great. The lobby was clean, and the room was a small but a cozy. But be honest, people do not... More

All I will say is I have never received such a high level of service in my life. This hotel will leave you with the inability to complain about anything. And I tried! Great hotel. Great gym and staff, superb service and attention. Tired bathrooms but rate makes up for this. Would stay again. Only negative is the taxi drivers in Seoul, which are probably the most primitive, apelike, disgruntled sociopathic amoebas I have ever encountered in 10 years of living in Asia. A scar on the face of Korea.

More

Staying in Gangnam / Nonhyeon / Yeoksam

Neighborhood Profile
Gangnam / Nonhyeon / Yeoksam
If you thought business and fun couldn’t mix, look no further than urban Gangnam and the nearby neighborhoods. On the surface, Gangnam comes off as a strictly business district with a plethora of high-rise office buildings jutting into the sky and the steady streams of office workers bustling about. But interlaced within are a string of shops, restaurants, bars, and other spots for entertainment. If Myeongdong is the generic meet-up and hangout spot north of the Han River, Gangnam is its answer for those on the south side. As evening comes, Gangnam comes alive with its countless neon lights attracting hordes of office workers, friends, and couples for food, drinks, perhaps a bit of singing at a noraebang, and more drinks. And the smattering of clubs around also draws plenty of folks looking to unwind and show off their moves on the dance floor. On weekends, the crowds gets bigger, the energy buzzes to a seemingly nonstop high, and Gangnam makes it clear why so many call Seoul the city that never sleeps.
