It is very unfortunate to hear that another full service hotel with a beautiful smack and good location in Gangnam area will be closed as of March 2021. It is just to record for a memory about the popular suites which the property has: Classic: 31 sqm Jr. Suite: 48 sqm Studio Suite: 47 sqm Executive Suite: 63 sqm Balcony Executive Suite: 85 sqm Compared to Sheraton Palace hotel which was closed in last month but tried all his best with top notch serives to the last day, I regret to hear that Le Meridien closed many services already (including lounges) and does not provide any other alternatives. Normally, before it was decided to close, the service standard on this property was one of the best!
I arrived late and very hungry. I called room service to order a pizza and salad. The most delightful young man I. Kim brought me delicious food and a bright smile. Everyone is so polite here and I'll be coming back soon.
My children and I had a fantastic stay at Le Meridien Seoul for the weekend. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is above and beyond any staff I've encountered. My kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves, especially the 3 hours of swimming! They even mentioned how nice all of the employees were! Once back to our room we ordered room service. Our food came surprisingly quick and was hot and delicious. Ryan Kim (I made sure to remember his name from his name tag) came by with the room service. He helped me greatly by moving tables and making room for my children and I to sit comfortably. He even dropped a small dessert and made my kids day "the best day ever"~exact quote from them. Thank you so much Ryan Kim and all of the staff at the hotel. We will definitely be back soon with more family and friends!!!…
It is the 75th (and finallt the last) stay of this year in Marriott Properties to keep Titanium Elite Status and this last choice is Le Meridien Seoul. Under Covid-19 pandemic (social distancing level 2 or above), most properties do not operate buffet. All breakfast services and evening service of Executive Lounge are offered as a fixed A la Carte menu. Most dishes are similar so we can be tired of the similar menu. However, Chef's Palette by Le Meridien Seoul offers very unique and creative signature menu whose price is just USD 100 (including tens of course menu and 4 kinds of wine paring). Furthermore, Titanium Elite member can get the additional 10% discount. Every guests gets the Boarding Pass (1st class) and starts the Asian and European taste journy with wine. It is like "Favors of Journey" by Imago in Rome (Michelin 1 Star) with his Executive Chef Mr. Francesco Alpreda. But the journey of Le Meridien is more various because it includes Asian (Japanese and Chinese cusine) For Club Lounge Happy Hour Menu, we have various selection and the portion is not little. It can be delivered and served for in-room dining. For breakfast, there are 2 choices (Western and Korean breakfast). The qualities for both are very good and tasty. Along with the famous Top Notch Service of the property and clean room condition, the flavor journey is very creative, unique and super tasty. (It will be kept during social distancing level 2 and will be returned back to her famous buffet again when the level improves down to 1). Unlike other fixed A la Carte, it is very impressive and highly recommended.…
My wife and I live in Korea and wanted to stay somewhere in Seoul for a 1-night staycation of sorts. I had a Free Night Certificate from one of my USA credit cards, and booked a regular room. I'm a Bonvoy Gold member and I recalled seeing somebody else with Gold status post that they got a suite upgrade recently. I wasn't sure whether I could get the same upgrade on a free night, and so I asked during check-in. Sure enough, I got a free upgrade to Junior Suite King bed, room #1620 I think it was. The room had a great view of the city and the N Tower in the background. Very spacious, earth tone, new everything. Bed was very comfortable. The room I booked would have been 220k KRW (before taxes), and our Junior Suite King went for 513k KRW (including taxes). To get that kind of room completely for free with only Gold status was really amazing. (Neither breakfast nor lounge were included with my free night booking, but that was basically expected. There is a 7-11 convenience store just 50 meters away, and that's where we picked up some of our breakfast foods.) (Probably the only small worry was the underground parking situation. We were very lucky and managed to get the last parking spot on the lowest level!) The service was very good. Front-desk check-in staff was great. Check-out was fast too. I know that it's currently the coronavirus situation right now, but my wife and I were very satisfied with the service at this hotel and we would be happy to come back and pay for the night the next time we have a staycation in Gangnam.…
