Myeongdong / Namdaemun
Arguably Seoul’s most famous neighborhood and undoubtedly one of its most popular, Myeongdong takes shopping and eating to new heights, with hundreds of shops, restaurants, and cafes all stacked on top of one another. The rise in popularity of Korean cosmetics, fashion, and more has made this area a must-see for visitors who come and marvel at Myeongdong’s often frenetic pace and energy. Lotte and Shinsaegae’s massive department stores are also popular draws for both Korean and luxury products. The department stores, just like Myeongdong’s streets, are crowded around the clock. Myeongdong’s many street food carts are also immensely popular for their inexpensive and quirky offerings (French-fry-encrusted corn dogs, anyone?). The neighborhood’s popularity, as well as its close proximity to other popular sights and neighborhoods, makes it one of Seoul’s most popular places to stay.

All the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Our rooms were cleaned everyday unless we request otherwise. The hotel was just a few steps from the main street of Myeongdong where all the shops are. It was a quiet area so close to restaurants, convenient stores, currency exchange, subway station and airport bus station. It was a very comfortable stay. Water, tea, coffee, toiletries were replenished everyday. They also had free shuttle from the hotel to major points in the city. Our room was a twin room. It was small but had enough space for our luggages under the bed. You can't keep your luggages open because there is no space for that. The “closet” can hang a few clothes. There was a safe. The bathroom was spacious with bath tub.

very good location that placed between 2 metro line stations, and you can take anyone of them within 10 mins walk. you can find all the food you need, Sin Gae Tong, grill korean beef. Also close to shopping area in 5mins walk. You can unload all the stuff before or during shopping.

3.5/5 for staff- in general they are helpful 2.5 /5 for comfort level. Room is small as expected . Twin room mattresses are single size with soft quality pillows. 4.5/5 for the location n convenient for the pay laundromat service and free shuttle bus to lotte mall and Seoul station

This hotel is close enough to the shopping district and restaurants but far enough for some peace and quiet. The room is not that big but it is clean. We love the room slippers which were rubber(not the flimsy material) and was even sterilized for our use. It does not have a restaurant inside but the area is so close to the restaurants, 7-11, sandwich shops and even McDonald's. It has a lounge in the basement which had free coffee and cocoa, a self nail salon and massage chairs and a scale to weigh your luggage. We really enjoyed our stay at Skypark II

First time staying at this hotel. We booked 2 rooms for 5 pax for 4 nights. Very convenient location right beside subway entrance. Loads of nice food nearby the resturant like the Gamjatang just opposite the hotel where we visited twice. Shopping was so convenient that we can drop our shopping bag whenever we want too and continue shopping again. Subway location is very central and it not far from palace and hongdae. The only setback is the size of room is very small for 2 of us even though I paid for 3 pax bedroom price. While my sister family room for 3 is slightly bigger, but still small.
