I arrived in Seoul after approximately 30 hours of travel and many things going wrong. For some reason I have yet to understand, I finally found my way to this hotel to find out they didn't have a reservation for me. I always take a photo of my reservations and write down confirmation # and have 2 paper copies...however this day I could produce nothing. The gracious manager arranged a four hour early checkin, began to make me some toast and took me to my room himself...told me to rest and that we would sort it all out later. Of course, once I was in my room I tore everything apart and still couldn't find paperwork. I went throughmy phone (which only holds my last 100 emails and I booked the room months ago) but found a reminder for my upcoming trip via email from the booking site. They named an entirely different hotel (because I had been in transit for so long, I had not seen my emails). I could not email the booking site and had no luck with international phoning (will address when I get home). I went back to lobby to explain to manager and he told me to rest and then he would call me a cab to go to other hotel. Needlesd to say, I didn't want to leave...not just because of the inconvenience...but because of the incredible service. He phoned the other hotel so I could cancel thst reservation. And he matched the lower rate of the other hotel. I toddled off to rest. The staff helped with printing a tour voucher and with calling taxis. Otherwise, decent size room, clean, nice bathroom, good breakfast. Beds are very firm. Quiet area. A bit nervous to leave on foot as I worry I won't find my way back given the complexity of the city and not reading Korean.…
The biggest pro of this place is location; it's just a short walk to COEX Mall and a subway station. The price is reasonable for its location, staff are friendly and efficient, and Wi-Fi and TV are fine. These pros, however, cannot make up for this place's cons: 1) the room seems more like a prison cell than hotel room as the window has a view of the adjacent building's wall; 2) this is a MOTEL rather than a hotel; 3) the breakfast is a huge thumbs down; 4) the reception desk is on the second floor, which makes for an awkward setup in some ways; and 5) the beds seem cheap. This place is OK if you spend very little time in the room but definitely it's not for couples or families.
WE had been in Japan with tiny rooms, and were surprised to be in a large spacious rooms without a bathroom "pod" but with a walk in wetroom. Comfortable bed, controllable air con in each room. Only downside was just one plug point. Friendly reception staff, OK breakfasst. Easy access from CALT, direct bus from ICN to there. The van service from CALT might work but we were late evening so just walked
I stayed for 2 nights in Room 711 from 4-6 August 2018. The accommodations offered at Mbiz was simple but sufficient. What makes this place stand out was its very friendly and hospitable front desk team. They made me feel very welcomed and helped advise me on how to navigate the subway system to go about my weekend escapade in Seoul. The hotel is located a brisk 10-minute walk from the Samseong World Trade Centre subway station (in the enormous, sprawling COEX mall), so it is very convenient. Food, leisure, and shopping can be found aplenty in the COEX mall. Prior to flying to Seoul, I had written to Mbiz requesting for early check-in as I was taking an overnight flight. When I arrived in Seoul in the wee-hours of a Saturday morning, Mbiz obligingly and efficiently checked me in without any fuss, and without charging me any extra cost for the room. My room was ready, spick and span, when I went in and enjoyed a good catch-up nap before embarking on exploring the city. Toiletries were provided in the form of jumbo-sized bottles of Dove shampoo and body wash. The room was very clean, with 2 single beds, and there was even a mini fridge for me to chill my drinks in. Bottled water was provided on a daily basis. I also enjoyed a very simple breakfast daily (included in the room cost), where the staff would greet me and even stopped by for a friendly chat. When I checked out, the manager (I believe he was) shook my hands and thanked me....this level of hospitality was a first for me! After I left Mbiz, I transferred to a 5-star hotel (belonging to the IHG group) located right next to Samseong station (that's a whole other Tripadvisor review!) for the business part of my trip.....and found that Mbiz Hotel won hands down, in terms of sincere hospitality, compared to the 5-star hotel. I would definitely recommend Mbiz Hotel to the budget conscious traveler who wants a clean, safe, convenient hotel, while enjoying courteous, friendly service.…
What a wonderful hotel! I loved the quaint atmosphere of this hotel compared to others I've been in around Korea. The staff in particular were extraordinary and so friendly. They really went out of there way to help me and make me feel at home. The front desk was so helpful in directing me to the subway station (which is like a 2 minute walk from the hotel) and telling me where to transfer and such. The subway line is the main line that travels through all of Seoul so it was super convenient that the hotel was so close by! They have large bottles of shampoos and soaps instead of those dinky small things that you're used to seeing in hotels. It's smaller than average but I think that's the best part! They treat their guests like their family were staying there. The breakfast is very filling and delicious! I will defiantly be staying there again when I go back to Seoul.…
