Stayed here in a standard room and it was wonderful. The hotel is very cool, with swings in the lobby, elevators like an old suitcase and bold designed rooms. It's great, the surrounding neighbourhood is kind of sleazy, but every major city in the world has it (soho in London). However, even late at night, its never dangerous or intimidating...

Very good hotel in an international neighborhood of Seoul. Within walking distance you have a lot of restaurants and bars and it is about a 5 minutes walk to the underground station. The hotel has a very hip/fun design and I would definitely come back on my next visit in Seoul.

I have stayed in this nice boutique hotel a number of times, but I regret to say the service is declining. The restaurant is a disaster with regards to service, we had a lunch/dinner the hotels restaurant and experienced the following: - The white wine was not chilled and served in the big red-wine glasses. - The waiter forgot our...

We spent 10 nights here and would certainly choose this hotel again. The decor is a feature, we liked the spacious lobby with its swings, art works and wonderful display of Korean pottery.Overall producing a sense of fun. The corridors to the rooms are dark but not long; this gives a contrast upon entering the room which is light and...

Myself and my wife were her for 4 nights. Great location where all the fun is. Great bars and resturants on your doorstep. Rooms were nice and bed was very cozy. Bathroom is crazy. Really enjoyed the breakfast. Ate out the rest of the time.

I cannot say enough good things about the location of this hotel. It is located in the international area and it is surrounded by eateries, clubs, bars, and shops. Also, the subway station is just a couple blocks down the street to the right. I never felt unsafe walking around in this area even at night. This is the area...

We chose this hotel because of all the lovely pictures of the website. It looks modern yet quirky at the same time. When we arrived, we were even more excited. The exterior and lobby of the hotel looked even more cool then expected. However, we were tremendously disappointed when we saw the rooms. The place felt old and tired. The...

Will recommend this hotel for the location alone. It is walking distance to the subway, walking distance to restaurants, weekend flea markets, 7-11 store, bars, really a great location. Front office service is also great and although the hallways are dimmed to give a club feeling, I like it. For the location alone, highly recommended

I was on my way to China via Korean Air and decided to do a stopover in Seoul for 3 days and I am glad I did. I had never been to Korea, but did some research and found that Iteawon was the area I would probably like and then found the IP Boutique online. I took the #6030 bus...

Staying in Itaewon

Neighborhood Profile
Itaewon
Neighboring the immense Yongsan American Garrison, Itaewon was once shunned by locals as a seedy, red light district. But within the past few years, Itaewon and its surrounding neighborhoods such as Kyunglidan and Haebangchong have undergone a major revival to quickly become one of Seoul’s hottest areas. Here, trendy international restaurants dot the area alongside hip lounge bars and some of Seoul’s hottest club venues. After dark, Itaewon comes into its own as one of Seoul’s top party scenes. The crowd is a fascinating patchwork of all backgrounds and identities, including a small but thriving Muslim community (centered on Korea’s sole mosque), the LGBT community (with a string of popular bars and clubs), and a wide range of ethnicities and cultures scattered around. Those seeking a quiet respite should head towards the eastern end, in Hannam-dong, which not only has one of Korea’s best art museums, the Leeum Samsung Museum of Art, but plenty of mid-range to upscale restaurants and cafes.
